Lake Floreasca

The St. Sophia Floreasca Church (Romanian: Biserica Sfânta Sofia Floreasca) is a Romanian Orthodox church located at 216 Calea Floreasca in the Floreasca district of Bucharest, Romania. It is dedicated to Holy Wisdom. Situated across the street from Lake Floreasca, the church is attested in a document of 1738. However, its precise date of construction is unknown, as the old pisanie, the ktetors’ portraits and founding documents are all lost. It was situated in a rural area, the property of the boyar Florescu family. A silver candleholder, kept at the National Museum of Art, is inscribed with the name Istrate Florescu and dated 1708, suggesting he was the first ktetor. The church was possibly built in the late 17th century, under Constantin Brâncoveanu. By 1916, the church was in ruins, and its reconstruction began in 1926. The original frescoes were restored in 1936, with further repairs carried out in 1986–1993.The small cross-shaped church has a nave topped by a solid, square-based dome, one of few to survive a series of earthquakes in early 19th-century Bucharest. The nave and narthex are separated by a large, three-lobed, florally decorated arch resting on two columns. A tiny rectangular portico also features a three-lobed arch and precedes the entrance. The partly restored original painting is preserved in the interior. The upper and lower facades are separated by a string course of rounded brick. The much larger lower part is decorated with arches and simple columns. An icon of the patron saint is painted above the portico, and a bell tower is located in a corner of the lot.The church is listed as a historic monument by Romania's Ministry of Culture and Religious Affairs.

Floreasca (Romanian pronunciation: [floˈre̯aska]) is a district in Bucharest, Romania, in Sector 2. Its name comes from Lake Floreasca, which is situated in the north of the neighborhood. The Floreasca Hospital is also situated in the neighborhood, in its southern part. Floreasca is considered an upper class area. The neighborhood was built on a former landfill site. It is mainly composed of small apartment blocks of 3-4 floors, and has many green areas. Its population density is lower than other parts of Bucharest. In 2008, work at the Floreasca City Center started in the area, which was completed in 2013. In recent years, the desire of developers to increasingly build in the neighborhood has led to conflicts with the residents.

The National Museum of Romanian Aviation (Romanian: Muzeul Național al Aviației Române) is an aviation museum owned by the General Staff of the Romanian Air Force. The museum was established on 2 March 1990, being initially located on the Otopeni military base. In 2006, it was moved in the hangars of the former Pipera Airport. The museum also manages the "History and Museography of Rockets and Space Research" section of the Hermann Oberth memorial house in Mediaș.The current director of the museum is Comandor Ion-Doru Micu.

Floreasca City Center is a multi-functional center with a shopping and entertainment complex as well as two office buildings in Bucharest. Floreasca City Center consists of a center for shopping, entertainment and business. The gross area amounts to approx. 214,000 m2 (2,300,000 sq ft) with rentable area of approximately 120,000 m2 (1,300,000 sq ft) and more than 2,000 parking places. It is the tallest building in Romania, with shopping-mall, entertainment, retail and offices. Located in Floreasca, an urban district and residential area in the northeast of Bucharest, SkyTower is close to another Raiffeisen evolution project, the Oracle Tower.

Promenada Mall Bucharest is a shopping center located in Romania. It was developed by investment firm Raiffeisen Evolution and inaugurated on 17 October 2013, after a 130 million euro investment. Promenada is the first mall opened in bucharest after the financial crisis in 2007-2009, construction began in January 2012 and lasted 22 months.The shopping center includes the businesses Carrefour Market, CCC, Help Net, Hervis, Burger King, Zara, Samsung, H&M, Altex, KFC, Intersport, Deichmann, ISTYLE, McDonald's, C&A and Peek & Cloppenburg.Promenada Mall, in Bucharest, won the first prize in the category "Mixed solutions" at the first edition of the Rigips Trophy România. În November 2013, the shopping center was purchased by investment firm NEPI.

Bucharest Pipera Airfield was located in the Pipera neighborhood of Bucharest, Romania, at the northern edge of the city, right next to the town of Voluntari, Ilfov County. The airport no longer exists. A small military base, which also hosts the Aviation Museum of Bucharest, remains in the location where the airport used to be.

Aurel Vlaicu is a metro station in the north of Bucharest, named after the Romanian aeroplane constructor and pioneer aviator, Aurel Vlaicu. It lies on the western end of the Pipera industrial platform, close to an intersection of three boulevards. The station was opened on 24 October 1987 as part of the extension from Piața Unirii to Pipera. There are plans to add a permanent exhibition to the platform, in hommage to the life of Romanian aviation pioneer Aurel Vlaicu.

Globalworth Tower, known previously as Bucharest One, is a class A office building that is located in the northern part of Bucharest, Romania, in the vicinity of Calea Floreasca, Barbu Văcărescu Boulevard and Pipera. The building has a total of 26 floors and a gross leasable area of 54,700 m2 (589,000 sq ft). The 118 m (387 ft) high building is the second tallest in Bucharest and Romania just under the 137 m (449 ft) Floreasca City Center's Sky Tower. The construction of the building started in 2014 and was completed in 2015 at a total cost of €60 million.

UpGround is a condominium located in Bucharest at the intersection of Barbu Văcărescu and Fabrica de Glucoză streets and Şoseaua Petricani. The project consists of four buildings, two residential and two office with a total floor area of 226,000 square metres (2,430,000 sq ft). The two residential buildings have 16 floors each and include a number of 600 apartments and have a floor area of 126,000 m2 (1,360,000 sq ft). The project also includes the seven floor class A office building BOC Tower. The tower has a gross leasable area (GLA) of 57,000 m2 (610,000 sq ft) making it the largest office building in Romania. The most important tenants are Banca Românească which occupies 15,000 m2 (160,000 sq ft) and GfK with 2,730 m2 (29,400 sq ft).In May 2008 the project was bought by RREEF Real Estate, the real estate branch of Deutsche Bank for €340 million making it the largest real estate transaction in Romania.

The New Stadionul Dinamo is a proposed football stadium in Bucharest, Romania.The contract for the feasibility study was signed in September 2020. The works will last between 18 and 24 months. Initially CS Dinamo București handed over to CNI the location of the current velodrome for which the public procurement procedure was started.

Pipera is a metro station in Bucharest, located in the Pipera district. Opened on 24 October 1987 as part of the M2 extension from Piața Unirii, it is the northern terminus of the line.The initial scope of the station was to serve the large Pipera industrial estate. Since the end of industry in Romania however, the station is now used by the new business and residential estates established here. RATB tram lines 16 and 36 stop outside the station building. Night bus N125 also stops here.
