The Equestrian Show Academy (French: Académie Equestre Nationale du Domaine de Versailles) is an equestrian academy located in Versailles, in the Grande Écurie.

The equestrian statue of Louis XIV is a bronze equestrian statue of the King of France Louis XIV, located on the Place d'Armes in front of the Palace of Versailles. Until 2008–2009, it was located in the cour d'honneur.

The Petite Écurie is a monument located in Versailles, on the Place d'Armes, opposite the Palace of Versailles, between the Avenue de Paris and the Avenue de Sceaux. Together with the Grande Écurie, it formed the Écuries royales (an institution employing some 1,000 people under Louis XIV), and was built under the direction of architect Jules Hardouin-Mansart and completed in 1681.Today, it houses the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Versailles and the workshops of the Centre for Research and Restoration of Museums of France.

The King's Stables are located in Versailles, at 5 Carnot street, a few hundred meters from the Palace. Constituting the Royal Stables (an institution employing hundreds of people at the time of Louis XIV's installation at Versailles), they were built in 1672. Deemed too small, they were quickly replaced in the 1680s by the Petite Écurie and the Grande Écurie of the Place d'Armes. They were then offered to the Queen and became the Queen's Stables. They are now occupied by the Versailles Court of Appeal. They were listed as a historic monument in 1978.

Versailles Château Rive Gauche station is a terminal railway station serving the city of Versailles, a wealthy suburb located west of Paris, France. The station is located at the western end of the Rive Gauche railway (English: Left Bank), named because it operates on the left bank of the Seine. The station is the closest to the Palace of Versailles. The station is operated by SNCF, the French national railway. It is served by RER C line of the Paris Region's express suburban rail system, the Réseau Express Régional. In February 2012, "Château" was added to the station name to help navigate tourists to the station closest to the Château de Versailles (English: Palace of Versailles). The station is one of several in Versailles, but sees fewer trains than Versailles Chantiers station.

The Communauté d'agglomération Versailles Grand Parc is the communauté d'agglomération, an intercommunal structure, centred on the city of Versailles. It is located in the Yvelines and Essonne departments, in the Île-de-France region, northern France. It was created in November 2002. Its area is 123.6 km2. Its population was 267,033 in 2018, of which 85,205 in Versailles proper.

The canton of Versailles-2 is an administrative division of the Yvelines department, northern France. It was created at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Versailles.It consists of the following communes: Buc Jouy-en-Josas Les Loges-en-Josas Vélizy-Villacoublay Versailles (partly) Viroflay

The arrondissement of Versailles is an arrondissement of France in the Yvelines department in the Île-de-France region. It has 23 communes. Its population is 417,560 (2019), and its area is 187.2 km2 (72.3 sq mi).

La Cour des Senteurs (The Scent Courtyard) is a newly opened area in Versailles, France, dedicated to the culture of perfume, which is one of the important cultures in France. It was opened in 2013 after the renovation of a former historical area nearby the Palace of Versailles. It is composed by several shops and restaurants in a courtyard, and two gardens.

The Musée Lambinet is a municipal museum in Versailles telling the history of the town. Since 1932, it has been housed in the hôtel Lambinet, a hôtel particulier designed by Élie Blanchard, built in the second half of the 18th century by a part of the Clagny lake (drained in 1837) and left to the town of Versailles by the heirs of Victor Lambinet (a cousin of the painter Émile Lambinet) in 1929. It has been classed as a monument historique since 1944. Its garden façade has a sculpted pediment representing an allegorical figure of architecture.

The Equestrian Statue of King Louis XIV is a sculpture designed and partially executed by the Italian artist Gian Lorenzo Bernini, who was originally brought to France to design a new facade of the Louvre, a portrait bust, and an equestrian statue. Bernini first discussed the project while in France in the mid-1660s, but it did not start until later in the decade, when back in Rome. It was not completed until 1684 and then shipped to Paris in 1685. Louis XIV of France was extremely unhappy with the end result and had it placed in a corner of the gardens of the royal palace at Versailles. Soon after, the sculpture was modified by François Girardon and altered into an equestrian sculpture of the ancient Roman hero Marcus Curtius.
