Puyvert

The canton of Cadenet is a French former administrative division in the department of Vaucluse and region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. It had 18,006 inhabitants (2012). It was disbanded following the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. The canton comprised the following communes:

The Château de Lourmarin is a converted castle located in the town of Lourmarin which is situated in the Vaucluse département, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of France. Originally a 12th-century fortress, it was transformed in the 15th century by Foulques d'Agoult, chamberlain of King Rene I. of Anjou. After 1526 the castle belonged to Louis d’Agoult-Montauban and his wife Blanche de Lévis-Ventadour and the new annex made the building the first Renaissance building in the Provence Region. Afterwards the castle became the residence of the Créqui-Lesdiguières family, who were the lords of Château de La Tour d'Aigues. Despite owning the castle, they never took residence in it, and this state of affairs continued until the beginning of the French Revolution. After the Revolution, and despite having two more owners, the castle slowly descended into ruins. Finally, in 1920, Robert Laurent-Vibert, a producer of cosmetics, bought the ruined castle and employed the architect Henri Pacon to restore it. In 1925, Laurent-Vibert died in a car accident. In his will he donated the castle to the Académie des Sciences, Agriculture, Arts et Belles Lettres under condition that it should be transformed into a trust, which would support young artists. The castle was used for exterior shots in Julien Duvivier's 1939 film The End of the Day.

Lourmarin (French pronunciation: [luʁmaʁɛ̃]; Occitan: Lormarin) is a commune in the Vaucluse department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France. Its inhabitants are called Lourmarinois.

Lauris (French pronunciation: [loʁis]; Occitan: Làurias) is a commune in the Vaucluse department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France. It is located between the Luberon and the Durance river.

Silvacane Abbey is a former Cistercian monastery in the municipality of La Roque-d'Anthéron, Bouches-du-Rhône, in Provence, France. It was founded in or around 1144 as a daughter house of Morimond Abbey and was dissolved in 1443; it ceased to be an ecclesiastical property in the French Revolution. The church was acquired by the French state in 1846, the remaining buildings not until 1949. It is one of the three Cistercian abbeys in Provence known as the "three sisters of Provence" ("les trois soeurs provençales"), the other two being Sénanque Abbey and Le Thoronet Abbey; Silvacane was possibly the last-established. The structures, of the late 12th and 13th centuries, are mostly Romanesque, with some Gothic elements. As is usual with early Cistercian buildings, the focus of the architecture is entirely on simplicity, austerity and harmony. The church interior, without decoration or distraction, is an outstanding example of 12th century Cistercian architecture.

La Roque-d'Anthéron (French pronunciation: [la ʁɔk dɑ̃teʁɔ̃]; Provençal: La Ròca d'Antarron) is a commune in the Bouches-du-Rhône department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in Southern France. Part of the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis, it is located on the departmental border with Vaucluse. In 2018, La Roque-d'Anthéron had a population of 5,441. Silvacane Abbey, a former Cistercian monastery founded in 1144 by monks from Morimond Abbey, is located in La Roque-d'Anthéron, east of the town centre.

La Louve is a private French contemporary garden, open to the public, in the town of Bonnieux in the Vaucluse department of France. It was created beginning in 1986 by Nicole de Vésian, textile designer for the Paris fashion house of Hermès. It is classified by the French Ministry of Culture as one of the Remarkable Gardens of France.

Bonnieux (French pronunciation: [bɔnjø]; Occitan: Bonius) is a commune in the Vaucluse department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in Southeastern France. In 2019, it had a population of 1,206. In the plain below the village stands the notable Roman bridge the Pont Julien.

Vaugines (French pronunciation: [voʒin]; Occitan: Vaugina) is a commune in the Vaucluse department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France. It lies on the southern slopes of the Luberon Massif. It is a very old and isolated village. Vaugines has preserved its Provençal style, with its peaceful decorated lanes of traditional stone rural houses. The countryside surrounding Vaugines is wild and typical of Provence, and was chosen by film director Claude Berri for the filming of parts of his adaptions of Marcel Pagnol's novels Jean de Florette and Manon des Sources.

Puget (French pronunciation: [pyʒɛ]) is a commune in the Vaucluse department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France.

Buoux [bju̟ːks] is a commune in the Vaucluse department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France. Located on the north side of the Luberon, the town is known for the high cliffs that surround it, making it a popular venue for rock-climbing enthusiasts, as well as the ruins of a medieval fort that was built in the 13th century and destroyed in 1660. The town's population peaked in the mid 19th century with 244 inhabitants in 1836 before falling to only 44 people in 1961. The population has since rebounded some to 122 in 2006. Buoux has few industries, including tourism, with several bed-and-breakfasts and restaurants, and agriculture, with production of lavender, honey and truffles.
