Bonnieux (French pronunciation: [bɔnjø]; Occitan: Bonius) is a commune in the Vaucluse department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in Southeastern France. In 2019, it had a population of 1,206. In the plain below the village stands the notable Roman bridge the Pont Julien.

The canton of Bonnieux is a French administrative division in the department of Vaucluse and region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. It had 4,317 inhabitants (2012). It was disbanded following the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. It consisted of 6 communes, which joined the canton of Apt in 2015.

The Pont Julien (French pronunciation: [pɔ̃ ʒyljɛ̃], Julian Bridge) is a Roman stone arch bridge over the Calavon river, in the south-east of France, dating from 3 BC. The supporting columns are notable for openings to allow floodwater to pass through. It is located in the territory of the commune of Bonnieux, north of the village of the same name, and 8 km west of Apt. Originally, it was built on the Via Domitia, an important Roman road which connected Italy to the Roman territories in France. It was used for car traffic until 2005, when a replacement bridge was built to preserve it from wear and tear. It is still used as bike- and footpath. This amounts to approximately 2000 years of uninterrupted use.

Puyvert (French pronunciation: [pɥivɛʁ]; Occitan: Puègvèrd) is a commune in the Vaucluse department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France. Puyvert borders the Bouches du Rhone department, sitting on the river Durance. The former priory of Saint-Pierre de Mejans was seized by the state during the French Revolution and is now managed as a chateau vineyard and events venue.

Buoux [bju̟ːks] is a commune in the Vaucluse department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France. Located on the north side of the Luberon, the town is known for the high cliffs that surround it, making it a popular venue for rock-climbing enthusiasts, as well as the ruins of a medieval fort that was built in the 13th century and destroyed in 1660. The town's population peaked in the mid 19th century with 244 inhabitants in 1836 before falling to only 44 people in 1961. The population has since rebounded some to 122 in 2006. Buoux has few industries, including tourism, with several bed-and-breakfasts and restaurants, and agriculture, with production of lavender, honey and truffles.

Lauris (French pronunciation: [loʁis]; Occitan: Làurias) is a commune in the Vaucluse department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France. It is located between the Luberon and the Durance river.

Goult (French pronunciation: [ɡult]; Occitan: Gòud) is a commune in the Vaucluse department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in Southeastern France. In 2021, it had a population of 1,080. The village is perched on a hill with a solitary road to the peak. Near the end of the road is a 12th-century castle, the Château de Goult.

Lourmarin (French pronunciation: [luʁmaʁɛ̃]; Occitan: Lormarin) is a commune in the Vaucluse department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France. Its inhabitants are called Lourmarinois.

The Château de Lourmarin is a converted castle located in the town of Lourmarin which is situated in the Vaucluse département, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of France. Originally a 12th-century fortress, it was transformed in the 15th century by Foulques d'Agoult, chamberlain of King Rene I. of Anjou. After 1526 the castle belonged to Louis d’Agoult-Montauban and his wife Blanche de Lévis-Ventadour and the new annex made the building the first Renaissance building in the Provence Region. Afterwards the castle became the residence of the Créqui-Lesdiguières family, who were the lords of Château de La Tour d'Aigues. Despite owning the castle, they never took residence in it, and this state of affairs continued until the beginning of the French Revolution. After the Revolution, and despite having two more owners, the castle slowly descended into ruins. Finally, in 1920, Robert Laurent-Vibert, a producer of cosmetics, bought the ruined castle and employed the architect Henri Pacon to restore it. In 1925, Laurent-Vibert died in a car accident. In his will he donated the castle to the Académie des Sciences, Agriculture, Arts et Belles Lettres under condition that it should be transformed into a trust, which would support young artists. The castle was used for exterior shots in Julien Duvivier's 1939 film The End of the Day.
