Vezzano sul Crostolo (Reggiano: Vsân) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Reggio Emilia in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) west of Bologna and about 13 kilometres (8 mi) southwest of Reggio Emilia. Vezzano sul Crostolo borders the following municipalities: Albinea, Casina, Canossa, Quattro Castella, San Polo d'Enza, Viano.

Albinea (Reggiano: Albinèa or La Fôla) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Reggio Emilia in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) west of Bologna and about 10 kilometres (6 mi) southwest of Reggio nell'Emilia. A document shows that in 980 Holy Roman Emperor Otto II recognized the existence and rights of the ancient Pieve (parish church) of Albinea. From 1070 it was a possession of the bishops of Reggio, who also had a place here. Later, from 1412, it was a fief of the Manfredi family, who held it until 1730. Albinea borders the following municipalities: Quattro Castella, Reggio Emilia, Scandiano, Vezzano sul Crostolo, Viano. Albinea was for the most part of its history a rural village; nowadays, a pleasant landscape, between the plains and the lowest hills of the Apennines, a nice climate, and the opportunities of a developed centre have made Albinea an elegant and comfortable place. The short distance from Reggio Emilia allows many citizens to commute daily.

Casina (Montanaro: Caṡîna [kaˈziːna]; Reggiano: Caṡèina [kaˈzɛi̯na]) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Reggio Emilia, in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 70 kilometres (43 miles) west of Bologna and about 25 km (16 mi) southwest of Reggio Emilia. The municipality of Casina contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Banzola, Barazzone, Beleo, Bergogno, Bettola, Bocco, Boschi, Braglio, Brugna, Casaleo, Casetico, Castignola, Ciolla, Cortogno, Costaferrata, Crocicchio, Faieto, Giandeto Straduzzi, Il Monte, La Ripa, Leguigno Faggeto, Lezzolo, L'Incrostolo, Migliara-Boastra, Molino di Cortogno, Monchio l'Axella, Montale, Montata, Paullo Chiesa, Sordiglio, Strada-Fabbrica, Trazara, and Villa Bonini. Casina borders the following municipalities: Carpineti, Castelnovo ne' Monti, Canossa, Vezzano sul Crostolo, Viano. The restored Oratorio di Beleo is located in the frazione of Beleo.

The Castle of Canossa is a castle in Canossa, province of Reggio Emilia, northern Italy, especially known for being the location of the Road to Canossa, the meeting of Emperor Henry IV and Pope Gregory VII during the Investiture Controversy (1077).

Quattro Castella (Reggiano: I Quâter Castē) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Reggio Emilia in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) west of Bologna and about 15 kilometres (9 mi) southwest of Reggio Emilia. Quattro Castella borders the following municipalities: Albinea, Bibbiano, Reggio Emilia, San Polo d'Enza, Vezzano sul Crostolo. Two of its churches include Sant'Antonino Martire in town; and the Oratory of the Madonna della Battaglia outside of the town.

The Oratorio di Beleo is a rural Romanesque-style, Roman Catholic chapel-church located in the frazione of Beleo, outside of the town of Casina, province of Reggio Emilia, region of Emilia Romagna, Italy.

Busanella is a hamlet (frazione) of the Italian Municipality of Carpineti, in the province of Reggio Emilia. The whole frazione, with other small hamlets, is also known as San Biagio, from the name of the parish church, which was a filial church of the pleban church of Carpineti. Busanella is located in the Apennines mountains, near the river Tresinaro. The hamlet is first named in a document of the year 1240. In the neighbourhood there are other small hamlets (località), among them Frombolara, an ancient possession of the benedictine monks of the abbey of Marola, Pignedolo and Cantigalli. Under the Este rule Busanella was a county of the Duchy of Reggio, feud of the count Orazio Malaguzzi, of the family of the poet Ludovico Ariosto. Busanella, together with other hamlets of the frazione, counts about 170 inhabitants.
