Albinea (Reggiano: Albinèa or La Fôla) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Reggio Emilia in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) west of Bologna and about 10 kilometres (6 mi) southwest of Reggio nell'Emilia. A document shows that in 980 Holy Roman Emperor Otto II recognized the existence and rights of the ancient Pieve (parish church) of Albinea. From 1070 it was a possession of the bishops of Reggio, who also had a place here. Later, from 1412, it was a fief of the Manfredi family, who held it until 1730. Albinea borders the following municipalities: Quattro Castella, Reggio Emilia, Scandiano, Vezzano sul Crostolo, Viano. Albinea was for the most part of its history a rural village; nowadays, a pleasant landscape, between the plains and the lowest hills of the Apennines, a nice climate, and the opportunities of a developed centre have made Albinea an elegant and comfortable place. The short distance from Reggio Emilia allows many citizens to commute daily.

PalaBigi (formerly known as Palasport) is an indoor arena that is located in Reggio Emilia, Italy. The arena is dedicated to the late "Assessore allo Sport" (the sport delegate of the Municipality) Giulio Bigi. The seating capacity of the arena is 4,600 people. It has a seating capacity of 4,550 seats reserved to local fans, and a section of 50 seats reserved for the away fans.The arena was opened in 1968. It is home to Pallacanestro Reggiana basketball team, and Volley Tricolore volleyball team.

Pallacanestro Reggiana, also known for sponsorship reasons as UnaHotels Reggio Emilia, is an Italian professional basketball team based in Reggio Emilia, Emilia-Romagna. It plays in the LBA as of the 2022–23 season.

The Palazzo Magnani, also known as the Palazzo Becchi-Magnani, is a Neoclassical-style palace located on Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi 29 in the historic center of the town of Reggio Emilia in Italy. The original palace was commissioned in the late 16th century by Count Becchi. The location on the then via della Ghiara, now Corso Garibaldi, became a fashionable location for houses of the wealthy in town. The palace is notable for a fine decorated frieze below the roofline and a marble telamon-like figure at the corner of the building, depicting the god Janus, sculpted in 1576 by Prospero Sogari . By the early nineteenth century, ownership of the palace passed to the aristocratic Chioffi family, who refurbished the facade to its present Neoclassical style. In 1917, after various changes in ownership, the house passed to the Magnani family. Luigi Magnani endowed the Magnani-Rocca Foundation to display his art collections at his villa at Mamiano di Traversetolo. This palace, restored by Ivan Sacchetti, was purchased in 1984 by the town from the estate of Luigi Magnani, and is now used for special exhibits.

The Palazzo San Giorgio is a palace with a main facade located on Via Farini #3, across from the church of San Giorgio in the historic center of the town of Reggio Emilia in Italy. it presently houses one of the properties of the town library: Biblioteca Municipale Panizzi. In the early 18th century, a building on the site, was originally commissioned by the Jesuit order to house a school and college. In 1773, when the Jesuits were suppressed in the Duchy, the palace became property of the Canons Regular from the parish of Santissimi Salvatore, and still was used as a school.

The Palazzo Ancini is a Mannerist-style palace with a main facade located on Via Luigi Carlo Farini #4 in the historic center of the town of Reggio Emilia in Italy. An original palace at the site had been commissioned by the Ruggieri family, but belonged by 1659 to the Pegoletti family, and after 1766 to the family of the Count Sormani. In 1821, it became property of the Count of Ancini, whose family left the property in 1887 to the Congregation of Charity. The building, including the facade underwent a severe reconstruction from 1924 to 1930 under the direction of professor Luigi Bertolini. The arrangement of the windows, with grotesque masks, and the central Mannerist stone portico are original. The ceiling of the interior scalone d'onore was frescoed by Anselmo Govi in the 1920s. Facing the facade, to the right of the portal, is a plaque remembering the local labor leader Luigi Roversi (1858 – 1917).
