The National Exchange Bank building is a historic building on Capitol Square in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The building, at 1 W. State St., was constructed in the 1860s as a bank, making it one of the oldest commercial buildings on Capitol Square. Today the building houses a branch of Heartland Bank.The original bank in the building, the National Exchange Bank of Columbus, was the second national bank organized in the city, established in December 1864. The bank was the only U.S. depository in the city. Its president was William G. Deshler. The bank was liquidated in 1892 and was absorbed by the Deshler National Bank, which was at the site of the Deshler Hotel.

The Lazarus Building is a commercial building in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. It was the flagship store of the F&R Lazarus & Company, a department store founded nearby in 1851. The building, completed in 1909, housed the Lazarus department store until 2004, one year before its brand was retired. The building currently houses numerous state and county offices, the Ohio State University Urban Arts Space, and restaurants and a bank branch in its storefronts on High Street.

The Vern Riffe State Office Tower is a 503 ft-tall (153 m) skyscraper on Capitol Square in downtown Columbus, Ohio. It was completed in 1988 and has 32 floors. NBBJ designed the building, which is the fifth-tallest in Columbus, and has 102,192 m² of floor area. An earlier concept for the site, also designed by NBBJ, would have included a site to the west of the present location, and would have effectively closed off South Wall Street north of West State Street. The building was named for Vernal G. Riffe, Jr, who served as Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives from 1975 to 1994. The complex also contains the 854-seat Capitol Theatre. The project was completed for $130 million.The working office of Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is located on the building's 30th floor.

Fifth Third Center is a 302 ft-tall (92 m) skyscraper on Capitol Square in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. It was completed in 1998 and has 25 floors. Miller & Reeves designed the building, which is the 17th tallest in Columbus. The skyscraper was designed in a post-modern style. Wells Fargo Bank has filed to foreclose after owner TierREIT defaulted on a mortgage loan.

The Ohio National Bank is a historic building in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The Neoclassical building was designed by Richards, McCarty & Bulford, built in 1912, and largely remains as built. It was a long-term location for the Ohio National Bank. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, noted as one of the most significant examples of Greek Doric classical ornamentation in Columbus, with refined details throughout the building.

171-191 South High Street is a pair of historic buildings in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The commercial structures have seen a wide variety of retail and service uses through the 20th century, including shoe stores, groceries, opticians, hatters, jewelers, a liquor store, and a car dealership. Both exhibit early 20th century facades; 185-191 South High was constructed in 1906, while 171-177 South High was constructed sometime in the 19th century and was remodeled in the second decade of the 20th century. The latter building was once part of the Lazarus Block, holding the original Lazarus department store. The store grew to encompass a group of seven buildings on the site until it moved to the Lazarus Building in 1909. The same building was again noted in the 1930s, for housing the first Kroger store in Downtown Columbus, which was considered the first supermarket in the city. The buildings, the nearby Ohio National Bank building, and a garage building were sold to a development company in 2023. The developer plans to renovate the bank building and demolish all other structures on the block.

The Ohio Holocaust and Liberators Memorial is a bronze and steel Holocaust memorial installed on the Ohio Statehouse grounds, in Columbus, Ohio, United States. It was unveiled by Governor John Kasich and architect Daniel Libeskind on June 2, 2014.

The Neil House was a historic hotel on High Street in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The hotel operated on Capitol Square from 1842 to 1980.

The Huntington Center is a skyscraper on Capitol Square in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The building is 512 feet (156 m) tall and has 37 floors. It is the fourth tallest building in Columbus, and the tallest constructed in the 1980s. It was largely completed in 1984, though finishing touches were still being added into 1985. The building opened on May 16, 1985.The building is part of a complex by the same name, which also contains Huntington Plaza, DoubleTree Hotel Guest Suites Columbus, and the Huntington National Bank Building. The Huntington Center replaced the Neil House, a hotel that operated on the site from 1842 to 1980.

The William McKinley Monument, or McKinley Memorial, is a statue and quotation array honoring the assassinated United States President William McKinley which stands in front of the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus, Ohio. Created by Hermon Atkins MacNeil between 1903 and 1906, with the assistance of his wife Carol Brooks MacNeil, the Monument was dedicated in September 1907.
