The Ohio Holocaust and Liberators Memorial is a bronze and steel Holocaust memorial installed on the Ohio Statehouse grounds, in Columbus, Ohio, United States. It was unveiled by Governor John Kasich and architect Daniel Libeskind on June 2, 2014.

Capitol Square is a public square in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The square includes the Ohio Statehouse, its 10-acre (4.0 ha) Capitol Grounds, as well as the buildings and features surrounding the square. The Capitol Grounds are surrounded on the north and west by Broad and High Streets, the main thoroughfares of the city since its founding, forming the city's 100 percent corner. The grounds are surrounded by 3rd Street on the east and State Street on the south. The oldest building on Capitol Square, the Ohio Statehouse, is the center of the state government, and in the rough geographic center of Capitol Square, Columbus, and Ohio.

The William McKinley Monument, or McKinley Memorial, is a statue and quotation array honoring the assassinated United States President William McKinley which stands in front of the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus, Ohio. Created by Hermon Atkins MacNeil between 1903 and 1906, with the assistance of his wife Carol Brooks MacNeil, the Monument was dedicated in September 1907.

The Doughboy, also known as the Ohio World War Memorial, is a 1930 bronze sculpture by Arthur Ivone, installed outside the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The statue, approximately 10 feet (3.0 m) tall, depicts a male soldier. It is mounted on a stone base with bronze plaques on three sides. The artwork was installed on the building's grounds in 1930, and underwent a restoration by George Wright between 1989 and 1992. It was surveyed by the Smithsonian Institution's "Save Outdoor Sculpture!" program in 1994.

Columbus City Hall was the city hall for Columbus, Ohio, located on Capitol Square in the city's downtown. The building served the mayor and city council from its construction in 1872 until its demolition in 1921. The building was the founding site for the United Mine Workers of America in 1890. In 1928, the site became home to the Ohio Theatre, and the current Columbus City Hall opened nearby. This city hall had three floors, including post office and library space on the first floor, meeting rooms and offices on the second, and a large public hall on the third. The building housed Columbus's first public library, from 1873 until it expanded and moved in 1906.

Known as the "Official Theatre of the State of Ohio", the 1928 building was saved from demolition in 1969 and was later completely restored. The theater was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1977 as one of the nation's finest surviving grand theaters.The Ohio Theatre is owned and operated by the non-profit arts management organization CAPA (The Columbus Association for the Performing Arts), which was originally formed to save the theater in 1969.
