The Grandes-Carrières (Large Quarries) District is the 69th administrative district of Paris located in the west of the 18e Arrondissement. It gets its name from the former gypsum quarries, a basic component of plaster, that were located at the foot of Montmartre since the Middle Ages. The Montmartre Cemetery is the main vestige of the main gypsum quarry of Paris. The Grandes-Carrières District extends north from the Place de Clichy, bordered to the west by the Épinettes District and to the east by Montmartre and the Clignancourt District.

The Cemetery of Montmartre (French: Cimetière de Montmartre) is a cemetery in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, France, that dates to the early 19th century. Officially known as the Cimetière du Nord, it is the third largest necropolis in Paris, after the Père Lachaise Cemetery and the Montparnasse Cemetery.

Guy Môquet (French pronunciation: ​[ɡi mokɛ]) is a station on Line 13 of the Paris Métro. It is located on the border between the 17th arrondissement and 18th arrondissement, on the line's northeastern branch.

The Gaumont-Palace was a cinema located on Rue Caulaincourt in the French capital Paris. Originally constructed between 1898 and 1900 as the Hippodrome de Montmartre, it staged equestrian shows during its early years. It was originally built with a Belle Époque facade. The site was acquired by Léon Gaumont in 1907 and converted into a cinema. It remained part of the Gaumont Film Company empire throughout its history. In 1931, Gaumont reconstructed the cinema, with a new Art Deco exterior. The largest cinema in France, it was used to premiere major productions from both France and abroad. With a capacity of 6,000, it commonly attracted between fifty and sixty thousand spectators a week in the early 1930s. The size of the cinema meant that it rarely held films over for more than two weeks before they were switched to smaller venues in the city such as the Caméo cinema. In 1952, the cinema featured in the comedy film Holiday for Henrietta. In 1962, it was converted for the use of Cinerama widescreen format. Increasingly, its large size was considered a disadvantage, due to poor audio quality. Plans were made for a further reconstruction but these were abandoned. In 1972, Gaumont sold off the site and it was demolished in 1973 and redeveloped. The money the company received from its sale allowed it to renovate other parts of its cinema chain, including in Lille, Lyon, Marseilles, Bordeaux, Reims, Nice and Toulouse.

Rue Marcadet is a road that stretches the north side of the Butte Montmartre in Paris, France. It is located in the 18th arrondissement.

La Fourche (French pronunciation: ​[la fuʁʃ]) is a station of the Paris Métro, serving Line 13.

Rue Lepic is an ancient road in the commune of Montmartre, in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, climbing the hill of Montmartre from the boulevard de Clichy to the place Jean-Baptiste-Clément It is an ancient road resulting of rectification and re-arrangement of several dirt-roads leading to the Blanche barrier (Place Blanche), starting life as Chemin-neuf (Le chemin-vieux was rue de Ravignan). In 1852 it was renamed rue de l'Empereur, and renamed again in 1864, after the General Louis Lepic (1765-1827).

The Square des Épinettes is a green space in the Épinettes district of Paris (17th arrondissement). It was created in 1893 by Jean-Camille Formigé. Two sculptures in the garden represent famous personalities of the area : Maria Deraismes, a feminist, and Jean Leclaire, an entrepreneur. It covers 10.42 hectares (26 acres).

The Lycée Jules-Ferry is a public secondary and higher education school located in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. It is famous especially since it was used in Diane Kurys's film, Peppermint Soda (Diabolo menthe, 1977). This public school of Paris is composed by a collège, a lycée and by CPGE. Since its creation, this high school had a tradition with literary studies. There are literary and humanities Classes préparatoires aux grandes écoles, for students that are preparing the very competitive national exams that lead to the prestigious École Normale Supérieure de Lyon academy.

Saint-Michel des Bagtignolles is a Roman Catholic church in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, located on Place Saint-Jean, at the corner of rue Saint-Jean and the Passage Saint-Michel. It was designed by the architect Bernard Haubold, and was built between 1913 and 1938.

The Café des 2 Moulins (French for "Two Windmills") is a café in the Montmartre area of Paris, located at the junction of Rue Lepic and Rue Cauchois (the address is 15, rue Lepic, 75018 Paris). It takes its name from the two nearby historical windmills, Moulin Rouge and Moulin de la Galette. The interior consists of a bar area and multiple small tables. The café has gained considerable fame since its appearance in the 2001 film Amélie, in which it is the workplace of the title character. It has since become a popular tourist destination. Another location from the film, the convenience store of Collignon, is located nearby, on the rue des Trois-Frères. The tobacco counter, tended in the film by Georgette (Isabelle Nanty), was removed in 2002 when the cafe changed ownership.The cafe was listed in the Registre du commerce et des sociétés in 1964. According to Marc Fougedoire, the current owner, the establishment opened its doors at the beginning of the 20th century, but did not take its current name until the 1950s. It had already been used for two other films before it was in Amélie.

Moulin Rouge (, French: [mulɛ̃ ʁuʒ]; lit. '"Red Mill"') is a cabaret in Paris, France. The original house, which burned down in 1915, was co-founded in 1889 by Charles Zidler and Joseph Oller, who also owned the Paris Olympia. Close to Montmartre in the Paris district of Pigalle on Boulevard de Clichy in the 18th arrondissement, it is marked by the red windmill on its roof. The closest métro station is Blanche. Moulin Rouge is best known as the birthplace of the modern form of the can-can dance. Originally introduced as a seductive dance by the courtesans who operated from the site, the can-can dance revue evolved into a form of entertainment of its own and led to the introduction of cabarets across Europe. Today, the Moulin Rouge is a tourist attraction, offering musical dance entertainment for visitors from around the world. The club's decor still contains much of the romance of fin de siècle France.
