Don Mueang (Thai: ดอนเมือง, RTGS: Don Mueang, pronounced [dɔ̄ːn mɯ̄a̯ŋ]; lit. 'the upland where the town is located'; often spelled "Don Muang") is one of the 50 districts (khet) of Bangkok, Thailand. It is bounded by (from north clockwise): Mueang Pathum Thani and Lam Luk Ka of Pathum Thani province; Sai Mai, Bang Khen and Lak Si of Bangkok; and Pak Kret of Nonthaburi province. Don Mueang regarded as the uppermost part of Bangkok.

On 3 March 2001, Thai Airways International Flight 114 exploded at gate 62 of Don Muang International Airport in Bangkok, Thailand, killing one person and injuring seven other people. Five cabin attendants, two baggage loaders, and a load control supervisor were preparing the Boeing 737-400 for a flight from Bangkok to Chiang Mai before the passengers were boarded. An explosion during this process started a fire that destroyed the aircraft. Six people on board and one person on the ground were injured while one cabin attendant was killed. The passenger manifest included many government figures, including prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, his son Panthongtae, and 20 other government officials. Initial reports from Thai officials suspected an assassination attempt using a bomb. Despite this, no evidence of an explosive device was found during examinations of the wreckage. The Aircraft Accident Investigation Committee determined that a flammable fuel-air mixture inside the center fuel tank ignited, likely due to sparks generated from an activated fuel pump with the presence of metal shavings.

Lak Si (Thai: หลักสี่, pronounced [làk sìː]) is one of the 50 districts (khet) of Bangkok, Thailand. It is bounded by (from the north clockwise): Don Mueang, Bang Khen and Chatuchak of Bangkok; Mueang Nonthaburi district and Pak Kret district of Nonthaburi province.

Don Mueang Station (Thai: สถานีดอนเมือง, pronounced [sā.thǎː.nīː dɔ̄ːn mɯ̄a̯ŋ]) is a railway station in Bangkok. It is located opposite Don Mueang International Airport. It currently serves the SRT Dark Red Line and long-distance intercity trains on the Northern and Northeastern Line of the State Railway of Thailand. There is a pedestrian bridge directly linking the new station to the airport.

Don Mueang International Airport (Thai: ท่าอากาศยานดอนเมือง, RTGS: Tha-akatsayan Don Mueang, pronounced [tʰâː.ʔāː.kàːt.sā.jāːn dɔ̄ːn mɯ̄a̯ŋ] (listen), or colloquially as สนามบินดอนเมือง, pronounced [sā.nǎːm.bīn dɔ̄ːn mɯ̄a̯ŋ]) (IATA: DMK, ICAO: VTBD) is one of two international airports serving the Bangkok Metropolitan Region, the other one being Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). Before Suvarnabhumi opened in 2006, Don Mueang was previously known as Bangkok International Airport (Thai: ท่าอากาศยานกรุงเทพ, RTGS: Tha-akatsayan Krungthep). The airport is considered to be one of the world's oldest international airports and Asia's oldest operating airport. It was officially opened as a Royal Thai Air Force base on 27 March 1914, although it had been in use earlier. Commercial flights began in 1924, making it one of the world's oldest commercial airports. The airport consists of Terminal 1 for international flights and Terminal 2 for domestic flights which are connected by a unique glass exterior elevated walkway. The airport also featured an exterior walkway connected to the Amari hotel. The first commercial flight was an arrival by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.In September 2006, Don Mueang Airport was closed and replaced by the newly opened Suvarnabhumi Airport, before reopening on 24 March 2007 after renovations. Since the opening of the new airport, it has become a regional commuter flight hub and the de facto low-cost airline hub. In 2015, it became the world's largest low cost carrier airport.Don Mueang previously carried the IATA code BKK, which was subsequently reassigned to Suvarnabhumi, and was an important hub of Asia and the hub of Thai Airways International prior to its closure. At its peak, it served most air traffic for the entire country, with 80 airlines operating 160,000 flights and handling over 38 million passengers and 700,000 tons of cargo in 2004. It was then the 14th busiest airport in the world and 2nd in Asia by passenger volume. Currently, Don Mueang is the main operating base for Nok Air, Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air.

Don Muang Royal Thai Air Force Base is approximately 40 kilometres north of central Bangkok and is the main operating and command base for the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF). In addition, units of the Royal Thai Army and Royal Thai Police have personnel located there. The first flights to Don Muang were made on 8 March 1914 and involved the transfer of aircraft of the RTAF. Three years earlier, Thailand had sent three army officers to France to train as pilots. On completion of their training in 1911, the pilots were authorized to purchase four Breguets and four Nieuports, which formed the basis of the RTAF.

Lak Si Station (Thai: สถานีหลักสี่) is a railway station in the area of Bangkok's Lak Si district. It serves the SRT Dark Red Line.

The Asia Pacific Telecommunity (APT) was founded on the joint initiatives of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The APT was established by an international treaty titled: Constitution of the Asia Pacific Telecommunity concluded in Bangkok on 27 March 1976 and came into force on 25 February 1979. After the treaty came into force, APT was formally organized on 1 July 1979. The APT is an intergovernmental organization and operates in conjunction with telecom service providers, manufacturers of communications equipment, and research and development organizations active in the field of communication, information and innovation technologies. APT serves as the organization for information and communications technology (ICT) in the region. The APT covers 38 Members, 4 Associate Members, and 137 Affiliate Members. Throughout the past years, APT has been able to assist members in the preparation of Global conferences such as ITU Plenipotentiary Conference (PP), World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC), World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC), World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA), and the ITU meetings. APT is also involved in promoting regional harmonization of their programmes and activities in the region.

NT Stadium (Thai: สนามเอ็นที สเตเดี้ยม) is a football stadium in Lak Si, Bangkok, Thailand. It is used for football matches at several competitions and levels and was the home stadium of TOT Sport Club, which was dissolved in 2016. The stadium holds 5,000 spectators.

The Administrative Court of Thailand (Thai: ศาลปกครอง) is a branch of the national judiciary, concerning grievances against state agencies or public officials. It was first established in 2001, in accordance with the 1997 Constitution, along with the Office of the Ombudsman. The court is composed of two tiers: the administrative courts of first instance, and the Supreme Administrative Court.

Saphan Mai (Thai: สะพานใหม่, pronounced [sā.pʰāːn màj]) is a marketplace and neighbourhood in north Bangkok, chiefly in the Anusawari Subdistrict, Bang Khen District and part of Khlong Thanon Subdistrict, Sai Mai District. The Saphan Mai area covers two sides of Phahonyothin Road for about three kilometres (1.8 mi) from the south, Anusawari Lak Si Circle, to north, Saphan Sukoranakhaseni, a bridge that spans Khlong Song or Khlong Thanon and connects Bang Khen, Sai Mai, and Don Mueang Districts.The name Saphan Mai means 'new bridge'. It is the term used by locals for Saphan ('bridge') Sukoranakhaseni (สะพานสุกรนาคเสนีย์) which replaced the old bridge. The main market in the Saphan Mai area is Talat Saphan Mai (ตลาดสะพานใหม่), also known as Talat Ying Charoen (ตลาดยิ่งเจริญ) a large wet market founded by Suwapee Thammawattana. It opened on 11 August 1955 on a plot of approximately 30 rai (about 11 acres).

Chulabhorn Graduate Institute (CGI) (Thai: สถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์) is a multidisciplinary post-graduate academic institute, comprising faculty members from the Chulabhorn Research Institute (CRI), and other leading universities in Thailand, as well as from academic and research institutions from around the world. It is a part of the Chulabhorn Royal Academy (CRA), named after Princess Chulabhorn Walailak.
