Surrey—White Rock—South Langley (formerly known as Surrey—White Rock, South Surrey—White Rock and Surrey) was a federal electoral district in British Columbia, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1968 to 1979 and from 1988 to 1997.

White Rock Centre is an on-street bus exchange located on the border between White Rock and Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. It is the southernmost transit hub in the Metro Vancouver region and the nearest to the Canada–United States border. As part of the TransLink system, it has routes serving White Rock and South Surrey, including towards Vancouver via Bridgeport station in Richmond, as well as to Surrey City Centre, Newton, Guildford and Langley City.

Semiahmoo Shopping Centre ( SEH-mee-AH-moo) is an indoor shopping mall on the Semiahmoo peninsula in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. Opened in 1980, the shopping centre is named after the nearby Semiahmoo Bay and is currently anchored by Save-On-Foods and Winners.

Peace Arch Hospital (PAH) is a 146-bed acute care facility, and Level IV trauma centre owned and operated by Fraser Health. The hospital is located at 15521 Russell Avenue, White Rock, British Columbia, Canada, and its catchment area includes South Surrey.

Semiahmoo Secondary School ( SEM-ee-AH-moh) is a public high school in South Surrey, British Columbia, and is part of School District 36 Surrey. It was founded in 1940 as the first senior secondary school in South Surrey. The school serves grades eight through twelve.Semiahmoo is one of four public high schools on the peninsula, along with Earl Marriott Secondary School, Elgin Park Secondary School and Grandview Heights Secondary School. The school is named after the indigenous Semiahmoo people.

White Rock Christian Academy (WRCA) is a Pre-K to Grade 12 Christian private school in South Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. WRCA states its core purpose is to "inspire and cultivate citizens of Godly character who transform their world for Christ".

Earl Marriott Secondary (EMS) is a public high school in the Vancouver suburb of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada and is part of School District 36 Surrey. It is referred to as the 'Home of the Mariners'. It is located on the edge of city limits, on 16th Avenue (which straddles the border between Surrey and White Rock).

South Surrey Athletic Park is a popular recreational park in the White Rock/South Surrey community. The park is bound by 18th avenue to the south, 148th street to the east, 24th avenue to the North and Sunnyside Urban Acres Forest to the west. The park has three baseball diamonds, an indoor baseball training facility, tennis and volleyball courts, a number of grass and artificial turf soccer fields and an outdoor red urethane oval track. There are also four multi-purpose fields adjacent to Semiahmoo Secondary School that are commonly used for football, rugby and soccer. The park also has a skateboarding facility, an outdoor waterpark, a mountain bike park, a youth community centre and a Rotary Field house.South Surrey Athletic Park is home to two large establishments: Softball City, a softball complex with four diamonds that is host to the annual Canada Cup international women's fastpitch tournament, and South Surrey Arena, a hockey arena that is home to the South Surrey Eagles. Many other local teams play (or played) their home games at South Surrey Athletic Park, including: The White Rock Tritons of the B.C. Premier Baseball League, the Big Kahuna Rams, the Peace Arch Soccer Club, Coastal Football Club, and the Surrey Beavers and Bayside Sharks of the BC Rugby League.Scenes from the 1998 film Air Bud: Golden Receiver were shot at South Surrey Athletic Park.

Sunnyside is a neighbourhood of South Surrey, which in turn is a region of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.

The Campbell River passes through Surrey and Langley, British Columbia, Canada, entering Semiahmoo Bay at the Semiahmoo Indian Reserve, which lies between the City of White Rock and Peace Arch Park on the international boundary. Originally labelled Campbell Creek in 1917 by the Geographic Board of Canada, it was labelled Tahtaloo on International Boundary Survey sheet 2 (date not cited) (a toponym derived from Tah-tu-lo, the Semiahmoo endonym for their dialect of Straits Salish); variant spellings include Tahla too, Tah-la-loo, and Tah tu lo. It was probably named after Archibald Campbell, US commissioner in the joint negotiations to locate the international boundary 1857–1862, who had his camp at the mouth of the creek. It was identified in the field notes of Joseph Trutch's survey as Semiahmoo Creek in 1859. "Ta’talu" is the name used nowadays by the Semiahmoo First Nation residing in its vicinity.

Semiahmoo Bay ( SEM-ee-AH-moh) is the southeastern section of Boundary Bay on the Pacific coast of North America. The bay is named for the Semiahmoo First Nation, who originally occupied the area. The Semiahmoo Peninsula borders the bay and was home to cannery operations. It is now home to the Semiahmoo Golf Resort. The Semiahmoo Resort is located south of the spit. The Washington State Department of Ecology classified the marine waters within Semiahmoo Bay, outside of Drayton Harbor, as extraordinary quality waters for (1) salmonid and other fish migration, rearing, and spawning; (2) clam, oyster, and mussel rearing and spawning; and (3) crustaceans and other shellfish (crabs, shrimp, crayfish, and scallops) rearing and spawning.The Campbell River flows into Semiahmoo Bay on the Canadian side; California Creek and Dakota Creek flow into Drayton Harbor on the US side.

South Surrey is a community within the City of Surrey, British Columbia, located on the Semiahmoo peninsula in the southern portion of the City of Surrey, sharing a border with the City of White Rock. Neighbourhoods of South Surrey include Crescent Beach, Crescent Heights, Elgin, Chantrell Creek, Morgan Creek, Grandview Heights, Hazelmere, Ocean Park, and Sunnyside. Most of South Surrey lies in White Rock's population centre.
