Hillman City is a primarily residential neighborhood of southeast Seattle, Washington, located in the Rainier Valley and centered about a half mile south of the Columbia City neighborhood. It was annexed by Seattle in January 1907, along with the rest of the town of Southeast Seattle.The approximate borders of the neighborhood are South Dawson Street to the north, South Graham Street to the south, Martin Luther King Jr. Way South to the west, and 48th Avenue South to the east.

Brighton is a primarily residential neighborhood in south Seattle, Washington, part of the greater Rainier Valley district and centered about a mile and a half south of the Columbia City neighborhood.The neighborhood was settled by English immigrants in the 1880s, who named it "Brighton Beach" after the English resort city of Brighton in East Sussex.It is several blocks from the Othello light rail station. The neighborhood was served by the Rainier Avenue Electric Railway from 1891 until it closed in 1937.According to the US census, 90% of Brighton residents self-reported as being non-white in 2010.

Aki Kurose Middle School is a public secondary school in Seattle, Washington, part of the Seattle Public Schools. Located in the Rainier Valley in southeast Seattle, it serves students in grades 6-8. The school is one of the most racially diverse schools in Seattle, with 97% of its student body being of color. A high proportion of its students are also recent immigrants, and 42% of the students are non-English speakers. The school emphasizes development of relationships between the community and the school, and establishing respect between students and teachers.

Books4cars is a web-based company in Seattle, Washington, that carries used and rare books related to cars, trucks and motorcycles, such as service manuals, owners manuals and historical books. The business was started in 1997 in Detroit, Michigan, from a home collection of books by automotive engineer and mechanic Alex Voss. Books4cars relocated to Seattle's Columbia City neighborhood in 2000.

The Columbia City Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located in the Columbia City neighborhood in the Rainier Valley area of Seattle, Washington. It is roughly bounded by South Hudson Street, South Alaska Street, 35th Avenue and Rainier Avenue. Its historic uses include specialty stores, multiple dwellings, single dwellings, meeting halls, schools, religious structures, and parks. Its architecture includes Mission Revival, Spanish Revival, Colonial Revival and other styles. On September 8, 1980, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The South End (Soufend) is a group of neighborhoods in the southeast of Seattle, Washington, U.S.A. The definition is a bit fluid, but has traditionally included the area south of the Central District, and east of Interstate 5: Rainier Valley, Columbia City, Rainier Beach, Seward Park, Mount Baker, and Beacon Hill. Sometimes its definition is extended to Skyway and Bryn Mawr in unincorporated King County, though these are not technically in the city. Other definitions have included northern parts of Renton and Tukwila, though most Seattleites, especially those from the South End, would consider this usage incorrect. Often the term "South End" is used colloquially to include neighboring portions of South King County, by people living in those areas, due to that area's location in reference to Seattle proper. The South End has traditionally been a diverse neighborhood with a mix of Caucasian, African American, Latino and Asian communities. It is currently going through a period of redevelopment and gentrification, and was a target of former Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels's action agenda and Sound Transit's Link light rail. There is a high school sports rivalry between the South End's high schools Rainier Beach and Franklin and the Central District's Garfield. Today the neighborhood has a population of 84,180 and is 34% Asian, 27% White or Caucasian, 23% Black or African-American, 8% Hispanic and 5% other races or of mixed race. [1]

Congregation Ezra Bessaroth (EB) is a Sephardic congregation with a synagogue in the Seward Park neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. Ezra Bessaroth is one of Seattle's two Sephardic congregations, the other being Sephardic Bikur Holim Congregation. Ezra Bessaroth maintains the liturgy and customs of the Mediterranean Island of Rhodes.

Graham Hill Elementary School is an elementary school located in the Seward Park neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, US. The school serves students from Pre-K (3+ yrs) through 5th grade as part of the Seattle Public Schools district.

Columbia Park is a public park in Seattle, in the U.S. state of Washington. Annexed to the city in 1907, the park is adjacent to the Columbia Branch of the Seattle Public Library.
