St Hilary's Anglican Church, Melbourne

The St Hilary's Anglican Network is the collection of St Hilary's Anglican Church (Kew), St Silas Anglican Church (North Balwyn) and St Augustine's Anglican Church (Mont Albert North), also known previously as the SHAC (St Hilary's Anglican Church) Community. It is one of Australia's largest Anglican parishes. The parish is located in Melbourne's inner east and also manages a campsite near Paynesville, Victoria on the Banksia Peninsula. - Cormorant by the Lakes. St Augustine's Anglican Church commenced around 1960 .The St Hilary's Anglican Network Next Generations Ministries also runs Messy Church, Children's ministries, Playgroups and manages a Kindergarten at the Mont Albert North site.

Ngara was the birthplace of the 21st prime minister of Australia, Gough Whitlam. It is located at 46 Rowland Street, Kew, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria. "Ngara" means "to listen, hear and think" in the Darug language of the Darug or Iyora (Eora) Aboriginal people in the Sydney area.

The Margaret Lyttle Memorial School Junior Campus is the junior campus of Preshil. It was designed by Kevin Borland. The buildings that Kevin Borland designed at the Preshil School are experimental in design and uses triangular and hexagonal geometries together with diagonals in both plan and section. This creates a variety of internal and external spaces, irregular forms and buildings that strongly deviates from the conventional school buildings of that time. The precise forme of each building and its detailing is counteracted by the use of raw timber posts and beams.The campus size is not much bigger than a large residential block in the area, which creates a lively density of play spaces, trees and buildings. The buildings are laid out in a labyrinthine, non-hierarchical and non-institutional way, integrating the new buildings with the existing 1930s cottage and the landscape on the site. The buildings were designed to accommodate the school's approach to active learning, embodied in the child-scaled and multi-purpose buildings.

Preshil School, also known as The Margaret Lyttle Memorial School, is an independent progressive co-educational, day school located in Kew, an eastern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The original Arlington campus houses the Kindergarten and Primary school, while the Secondary School is located at the Blackhall Kalimna campus. The campuses are located on Barkers Road and Sackville Street respectively.Established in 1931 by Greta Lyttle (and later, Margaret E. Lyttle), Preshil teaches a progressive curriculum, and is Australia's oldest progressive school. The school caters for students from Kindergarten through to Year 12. In 2017 the school phased out the Victorian Certificate of Education in favour of the International Baccalaureate programme.

The Lyon Housemuseum is a hybrid residence and contemporary art museum located on Cotham Road, Kew, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia. The Housemuseum displays the Lyon Collection of Australian contemporary art in a purpose designed building.The building is open to the public for pre-booked guided tours, school visits and other events on designated days each year. The Housemuseum also hosts a series of public talks and lectures on contemporary art, architecture, art history and museology which are open to the public. The annual Housemuseum Lecture is published in the form of a small book. The first book in this series, Meaning in Space by Leon van Schaik, was published in 2011.

Genazzano FCJ College is a Roman Catholic, day and boarding school for girls, located in Kew, an eastern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Established in 1889 by the Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJ Sisters), the college has a non-selective enrolment policy. Carey Baptist Grammar School, commonly known as Carey, is an independent and co-educational Christian day school in Victoria, Australia. The institution consists of four campuses: Kew (ELC to Year 12), Donvale (ELC to Year 6), the Carey Sports Complex in Bulleen and an outdoor education camp near Paynesville in eastern Gippsland called Carey Toonallook. The Division of Kooyong is an Australian Electoral Division for the Australian House of Representatives in the state of Victoria, which covers an area of approximately 59 km2 (23 sq mi) in the inner-east suburbs of Melbourne. It is currently based on Kew, and also includes Balwyn, Canterbury, Deepdene, Hawthorn, Mont Albert and Mont Albert North; and parts of Camberwell, Glen Iris, Hawthorn East and Surrey Hills. Kooyong is a largely white-collar electorate. According to the 2016 census, 46.8% of electors hold a Bachelor's Degree, more than twice the national average.After the 2022 election, teal independent Monique Ryan became the member for the electorate, unseating former Liberal deputy leader and Treasurer Josh Frydenberg. She is both the first woman and the first non-Liberal Party candidate to win the seat since the party's inception in 1944, as well as the first member to unseat an incumbent in Kooyong since 1922.

East Kew was a railway station on the Outer Circle railway line, located in the suburb of Kew, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The station opened with the line on 24 March 1891, and closed with the line on 12 April 1893. It was located on the west side of Normanby Road, and was the site of a crossing loop with a platform on each track. A goods siding was also provided at the Riversdale end. The station was reopened on 11 February 1925, for goods traffic only, and was the terminus of the reopened section of the Outer Circle line from Deepdene railway station. Three loop sidings were provided, along with a headshunt, and there was a dead end extension at the Riversdale end. The headshunt, which crossed Normanby Road, was abolished in about 1935 to eliminate the level crossing, and the sidings became dead-end. Goods services were withdrawn on 6 September 1943, and the line back to Riversdale closed.

Deepdene was a railway station on the Outer Circle railway line, located in the suburb of Balwyn, Melbourne, Australia. Located between Abercrombie Street and Whitehorse Road, it was opened on 24 March 1891, along with the line though it, and was named after the adjacent Deepdene House. There was a crossing loop on the single track, with two side platforms. A station building was situated on the east platform.: 91  The loop was removed after the initial closure, but replaced on reopening. For a time, the station was also open for goods.Deepedene station was first closed, along with the line, on 12 April 1893. However, it reopened on 14 May 1900, becoming the terminus of the reopened section of the Outer Circle line from Riversdale station. It was served by what became known, ironically, as the Deepdene Dasher, a shuttle service from Riversdale, consisting of one or two "American-style" carriages hauled by a steam locomotive.: 62  The line was reopened beyond Deepdene on 11 February 1925, to allow a goods service to be run to East Kew station. In the 1920s, almost all Melbourne suburban lines were electrified, but the lack of traffic on the Deepdene line meant that it was excluded from the electrification program. The Deepdene Dasher became one of the last steam-hauled passenger services in suburban Melbourne. On 15 August 1926, the final steam-hauled Deepdene Dasher ran, being replaced next day by two AEC railmotors coupled back to back.: 63  The passenger service was withdrawn on 9 October 1927, and the station closed to traffic, with the train being replaced by a bus service from East Camberwell station to Deepdene. The station building was destroyed by fire in 1927, which was believed to have been caused by a swagman. The former departmental residence, which was located alongside the Whitehorse Road level crossing, was demolished in 1938. Until 1943, goods services to East Kew continued to pass through the site of Deepdene station.

Boroondara General Cemetery, often referred to as Kew cemetery, is one of the oldest cemeteries in Victoria, Australia, created in the tradition of the Victorian garden cemetery. The cemetery, located in Kew, a suburb of Melbourne, is listed as a heritage place on the Victorian Heritage Register.
