Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art, also known as the Intuit Art Center or just Intuit, is a museum in the West Town neighborhood of Chicago dedicated to outsider art. Founded in 1991, the museum offers exhibitions and educational programming exploring contemporary self-taught art.

Saint John Cantius Church (Polish: Kościół Świętego Jana Kantego) is a historic Catholic church of the Archdiocese of Chicago known for its architecture, liturgical practices, and affiliation with the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius.With monumental religious edifices of St. Mary of the Angels, St. Hedwig's or St. Wenceslaus, it is one of the many Polish churches that overlook the Kennedy Expressway. The unique baroque interior has remained intact for more than a century and is reminiscent of the sumptuous art and architecture of 18th century Kraków. Of all the Polish Cathedral style churches in Chicago, St. John Cantius stands closest to downtown. In 2013, the parish completed a significant restoration. The 130 feet (40 m) tower is readily seen from the nearby Kennedy Expressway and is a landmark in Chicago's West Town neighborhood, located at 825 North Carpenter Street.

Artemisia Gallery was an alternative exhibition space in Chicago, Illinois, that operated from 1973 until its closure in 2003.

The Woman Made Gallery (WMG) is a Chicago based non-profit gallery known for elevating women and non-binary artists through exhibitions, membership, and community dialogue programs. Woman Made's vision is to ensure the equal placement of women's art in the art world. WMG is Chicago's longest-operating feminist art gallery and one of the leading organizations promoting women's art in the US.Founded in 1992, by Kelly Hensen and Beate Minkovski, Woman Made Gallery has hosted nearly 400 exhibitions and has exhibited more than 9,000 women artists.The gallery has been associated with artists like Judy Chicago and Faith Ringgold.

The J. P. Smith Shoe Company Plant is a historic factory building at the corner of North Sangamon Avenue and West Huron Street in the West Town neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The factory was built in 1911-12 for the J. P. Smith Shoe Company, Chicago's second-largest maker of shoes at the time. Horatio R. Wilson, a prolific local architect, designed the building. Wilson's design used metal sash windows to provide light and ventilation to workers, putting it at the forefront of a national trend in industrial construction. The emphasis on proper lighting was a recurring theme in Wilson's work, as he had also designed some of Chicago's first apartments with sun parlors. The design also used brickwork to add decorative features, such as piers and a cornice, to an otherwise functional and unadorned design.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 14, 1985.

The John Lothrop Motley School is a historic school building at 739 N. Ada Street in the West Town neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. It was built in 1884 to serve the growing neighborhood, as an influx of immigrants and Illinois' 1883 Compulsory Education Law had greatly increased its student population. John J. Flanders, who became chief architect of the Chicago Board of Education in 1884, designed the school according to a standardized plan which was used throughout the city. The Renaissance Revival school has an asymmetrical layout and includes several small side entrances, ornamental brickwork on its chimneys, and a metal cornice. Flanders' design was a stark change from the symmetrical Italianate plans of earlier Chicago public schools. The district's student population continued to increase in the following decades, and the Board of Education built an addition onto the school in 1898 as a result. The school operated continuously until closing in 2013.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 5, 2017.

The Peck and Hills Furniture Company Warehouse is a historic warehouse located at 909 West Bliss Street on Goose Island in Chicago, Illinois. Built in 1901, the warehouse was the main storage and distribution facility for the Peck and Hills Furniture Company. Founded in 1896, the company became the largest furniture distributor in the country by the end of the 1920s. The company's warehouse facilities, which were expanded significantly during its growth, were integral to its ability to expand into new markets. The warehouse also connected to the city's railway network, allowing the company to easily ship its goods across the country. Peck and Hills declined significantly during the Great Depression, and it sold its Chicago warehouse facilities in 1942. The warehouse is now one of the few remnants of Goose Island's industrial history.The warehouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 18, 2015.

The metropolitan area has seen an increase of Latin American residents, and the Asian American population also increased according to the 2020 Census. The metropolitan area represents about 3 percent of the United States population. The Chicago metropolitan area has one of the world's largest and most diversified economies. It is a key factor of the Illinois economy with more than six million full and part-time employees, and generating an annual gross regional product (GRP) of $689 billion in 2018. The region is home to more than 400 major corporate headquarters, including 31 in the Fortune 500 such as McDonald's, Boeing, United, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. For six consecutive years, Chicagoland was ranked the nation's top metropolitan area for corporate relocation.The Chicago area is home to a number of the nation's leading research universities including the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, University of Illinois at Chicago, DePaul University, Loyola University and Illinois Institute of Technology. The University of Chicago and Northwestern University are consistently ranked as two of the best universities in the world. There are many transportation options around the area. The Polish Museum of America is located in West Town, in what had been the historical Polish Downtown neighborhood of Chicago. It is home to numerous Polish artifacts, artwork, and embroidered folk costumes in its growing collection. Founded in 1935, it is one of the oldest ethnic museums in the United States and a Core Member of the Chicago Cultural Alliance, a consortium of 25 ethnic museums and cultural centers in Chicago. Each year, the museum organizes several exhibitions, publishes accompanying bilingual catalogs, and conducts a wide range of public programming, frequently in collaboration with other museums, educational institutions, and cultural centers. It promotes the knowledge of Polish history and culture by focusing on Polish and Polish American art through its collection of paintings, sculptures, drawings and lithographs by well-known artists. In addition to exhibits the Polish Museum of America also maintains cultural programs such as lectures, movies and slide presentations, theater performances, meetings with schools and people dedicated to Polish Culture from all over the world. The museum serves as the focus of official commemorations of Casimir Pulaski Day where various city and state officials congregate to pay tribute to Chicago's Polish Community.

Rauner College Prep is a public four-year charter high school located in the West Town in Chicago, Illinois. It is a part of the Noble Network of Charter Schools. Rauner College Prep is named in honor of donors Diana and Bruce Rauner. It opened in 2006 and serves students in grades nine through twelve.

Goose Island is a 160-acre (65-hectare) artificial island in Chicago, Illinois, formed by the North Branch of the Chicago River on the west and the North Branch Canal on the east. It is about 1+1⁄2 miles (2.5 kilometers) long and 1⁄2 mile (800 meters) across at its widest point.

The Northwestern University Settlement House is an Arts and Crafts style house located at 1400 West Augusta Boulevard in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The Settlement Association was founded in 1891 by Northwestern University to provide resources to the poor and new immigrants to the West Town neighborhood. The actual Settlement House structure was built in 1901 by Pond & Pond. It was designated a Chicago Landmark on December 1, 1993.It is the longest continually operating settlement house in the country, as well as the largest settlement house in Chicago since the closing of Hull House which was founded by Jane Addams.
