Montluel station

Montluel (French pronunciation: [mɔ̃lɥɛl] ; Arpitan: Montluèl) is a commune in the Ain department in eastern France. It is situated on the outskirts of Lyon. The inhabitants are known as Montluistes.

The canton of Montluel is a former administrative division in eastern France. It was disbanded following the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. It had 23,713 inhabitants (2012).The canton comprised 9 communes:

It is located at kilometric point (KP) 20.966 on the Lyon-Geneva railway. As of 2020, the station is owned and operated by the SNCF and served by TER Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes trains.

Beynost (French pronunciation: [beno] ) is a commune in the Ain department, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in eastern France. The commune is approximately 15 km from Lyon, and part of the unité urbaine de Lyon. Historically, Beynost is also part of the naturally forming region of Côtière. Beynost station has rail connections to Lyon, Ambérieu-en-Bugey and Chambéry.

Saint-Maurice-de-Beynost (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ mɔʁis də beno] ; literally "Saint-Maurice of Beynost") is a commune in the Ain department, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, located at about 15 km (9 mi) from Lyon. The commune is included in the canton of Miribel and in the intercommunality of communauté de communes de Miribel et du Plateau. A small farming village at the beginning of the 20th century, the commune of Saint-Maurice-de-Beynost became an industrial town in the 1920s, following the construction of the second textile factory of the "Lyon Society of Artificial Silk". The need for workers in this factory led to a quadrupling of the population in just five years, between 1926 and 1931. Today, the factory, which belongs to the Japanese group Toray Industries, is still the main employer in the city with nearly five hundred employees. The inhabitants of Saint-Maurice-de-Beynost are called Mauriciens.
