Unexpected Productions (UP) is an improvisational comedy company in Seattle, Washington, USA. From their home at the Market Theater in Seattle's historic Pike Place Market, in Post Alley, Unexpected Productions produces year-round shows, teaches improv classes, and hosts the Seattle International Festival of Improvisation.

The Market Theater Gum Wall is a brick wall covered in used chewing gum under Pike Place Market in Downtown Seattle. It is located on Post Alley near Pike Street, south of the market's main entrance off 1st Avenue. Parts of the gum coating alongside the walls are several inches thick, and the coating is 15 feet (4.6 m) high along a 50-foot-long (15 m) section. The Market Theater Gum Wall has become a tourist attraction and local landmark since it was unintentionally created in the 1990s.

Seattle Garden is a 1988 painted steel sculpture by Ann Sperry, installed in Seattle, Washington. The work is approximately 4 ft, 5 in tall and 334 ft long. It runs along two sides of the Seattle City Light Union Street Substation, on Post Alley between Union and University Streets.In 2003, Stewart Oksenhorn of The Aspen Times wrote, "What might be [Sperry's] most impressive work was designed as functional art. In the mid-'80s, Sperry won a competition sponsored by the Seattle Arts Commission Percent for Art Program, which resulted in 1988's Seattle Garden, a 334-foot long installation bordering a downtown Seattle power substation. The aim was to prevent kids from climbing onto the substation grounds. Sperry's sharp-edged, flower-inspired metal work not only served the purpose, but also beautified the neighborhood." According to Sperry, the artwork has not been subject to much vandalism because of its appearance. She has said, "If it were New York, they would have put up chain-link fence. Because it was Seattle, they had an art competition."

Goldfinch Tavern is a New American restaurant in Seattle's Central Waterfront, in the U.S. state of Washington.

The Central Waterfront of Seattle, Washington, United States, is the most urbanized portion of the Elliott Bay shore. It runs from the Pioneer Square shore roughly northwest past Downtown Seattle and Belltown, ending at the Broad Street site of the Olympic Sculpture Park. The Central Waterfront was once the hub of Seattle's maritime activity. Since the construction of a container port to its south in the 1960s, the area has increasingly been converted to recreational and retail uses. As of 2008, several century-old piers are devoted to shops and restaurants. There are several parks, a Ferris wheel, an aquarium, and one over-water hotel. Some docks remain on the Central Waterfront, under the authority of the Port of Seattle, including a cruise ship dock, ferry terminals, and a fireboat dock. There are many architectural vestiges of the area's past status as the heart of a port, and a handful of businesses have remained in operation since that time.

The Pike Street Hill Climb, also known as Pike Street Hillclimb, is a pathway consisting of steps and escalators/elevators that connect Seattle's Alaskan Way and Central Waterfront along Elliott Bay to Pike Place Market in the U.S. state of Washington. The climb has been described by The Seattle Times as a "glute-burning short cut".

Ghost Alley Espresso is a coffee shop at Seattle's Pike Place Market, in the U.S. state of Washington. The business operates on Post Alley in a former service room for bathroom attendants, a few steps away from the Gum Wall.: 2014 ed.  Current owner Michael Buchwald purchased the business from Mercedes Carrabba, who used the shop as a starting location for ghost tours. The space is reportedly haunted by the ghost of Arthur Goodwin, a former manager of Pike Place Market.

Rachel, also known as Market Foundation Piggy Bank, Rachael the Pig, Rachel the Pig or Rachel the Piggy Bank, is an outdoor bronze sculpture of a piggy bank, designed by Georgia Gerber and located at Pike Place Market in Seattle, Washington, in the United States. It was dedicated on August 17, 1986, the market's 79th birthday, and is maintained by the Pike Place Market Foundation. Modeled after a pig (also named Rachel) that lived on Whidbey Island and was the 1985 Island County prize-winner. In 2006 Rachel received roughly $9,000 annually while in 2018, donations increased to $20,000. The money is collected by the Market Foundation to fund the Market's social services.

The Economy Market (sometimes the Economy Market Building) is a building at Seattle's Pike Place Market, in the U.S. state of Washington. Previously known as the Bartell Building, the structure was completed in 1900. The building was originally used as stables for the farmers' horses. The building took its modern name from its historical purpose as a discount or day-old section of the market.Businesses operating in the building include the Daily Dozen Doughnut Company and Tenzing Momo.
