FareStart is a nonprofit organization in Seattle, Washington, US, that provides restaurant industry job training for the disadvantaged and homeless. FareStart originally started as a for-profit provider of meals to homeless shelters under the name Common Meals, but became a non-profit in 1992. Common Meals was established in 1988 by David Lee.

The United States Courthouse in Seattle, Washington, is a federal courthouse and office building used primarily by the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington. When it opened on August 17, 2004, at a cost of $171 million, it replaced the historic William Kenzo Nakamura United States Courthouse, which has since been transferred to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. The 23-story, 390-foot (120 m) tall building houses 18 courtrooms and 22 chambers and occupies a full city block along with a landscaped public plaza.It was designed by NBBJ and Magnusson Klemencic Associates with future expansion in mind and features engineering designed to withstand earthquakes, terrorism, and other possible threats. The General Services Administration awarded two design awards to the building in 2005 for design and construction excellence; it also received a commendation from the Seattle chapter of the American Institute of Architects for "advancing the quality of civic design".

The United States District Court for the Western District of Washington (in case citations, W.D. Wash.) is the federal district court whose jurisdiction comprises the following counties of the state of Washington: Clallam, Clark, Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, Island, Jefferson, King, Kitsap, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, Pierce, San Juan, Skagit, Skamania, Snohomish, Thurston, Wahkiakum, and Whatcom. Its courthouse, built in 2004, is located at 7th and Stewart in Seattle. As of the 2020 census, 6 million people resided in the Western District, representing 78% of the state's population. The district includes the cities of Bellingham, Bremerton, Seattle, Bellevue, Olympia, Vancouver, Everett, and Tacoma, amongst others. The court is divided into two divisions by counties as follows: Seattle Division - Island, King, San Juan, Skagit, Snohomish, Whatcom Tacoma Division - Clallam, Clark, Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, Jefferson, Kitsap, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, Pierce, Skamania, Thurston, Wahkiakum Cases from the Western District of Washington are appealed to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit (except for patent claims and claims against the U.S. government under the Tucker Act, which are appealed to the Federal Circuit). The United States Attorney's Office for the Western District of Washington represents the United States in civil and criminal litigation in the court. As of February 3, 2025, the acting United States attorney is Teal Luthy Miller.

Casey Family Programs (CFP) is a national operating foundation focused on foster care and child welfare.Based in Seattle, Washington, Casey Family Programs works in 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. It has offices in Arizona, California, Colorado, the District of Columbia, Georgia, Idaho, New York, Texas and Washington.The foundation, established by United Parcel Service founder James E. Casey in 1966, has a stated mission "to provide and improve—and ultimately prevent the need for—foster care" in the United States.

Doppler (also known as Amazon Tower I and Rufus 2.0 Block 14) is a 524-foot-tall (160 m) office building in Seattle, Washington, United States, that is home to the corporate headquarters of Amazon. It is located in the Denny Triangle neighborhood of the city, at the intersection of Westlake Avenue and 7th Avenue near the Westlake Center and McGraw Square. Doppler is part of the three-tower campus that Amazon is developing in the area and is able to house 3,800 employees. The tower takes its name from the internal codename of the Amazon Echo voice-controlled speaker, which launched in 2014.

Seventh at Westlake Tower was a proposed 31 story, 426 ft (130 m) skyscraper in the Denny Triangle neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. The lower 16 floors would have been used as office space, and the top 17 floors would have been 184 residential spaces. The project has since been cancelled. Amazon.com received approval in late 2012 to develop the block for office space. The office building located on the block, Doppler (also known as Amazon Tower I), opened on December 14, 2015.

Westlake Square is a 0.01-acre (0.0040 ha) park in Seattle, Washington, adjacent to Westin Seattle. It was formerly a combination streetcar stop and underground comfort station. The former comfort station was demolished and filled in 1964.In 2010, Seattle Department of Transportation redeveloped Westlake Square and adjacent McGraw Square into a new plaza for the South Lake Union Streetcar.

The Westin Building Exchange is a major telecommunications hub facility located downtown Seattle, Washington. The building was constructed in 1981 as the Westin Building, housing the corporate offices of Westin Hotels, which was then based in Seattle. It is also home to the Seattle Internet Exchange (SIX) and Pacific Northwest Gigapop's Pacific Wave Exchange.The facility has a pair of "Meet-me Rooms" on the 19th floor, which are used by telecommunication carriers and internet service providers to cross-connect their individual networks. These carriers situate their POPs within racks spread throughout the building, connecting back to the meet-me room via optical fiber cabling, facilitating interconnection with other carriers' infrastructure within the building. The Westin Building's meet-me room is the heart of the facility, where buyers and sellers of broadband services offer interconnectivity to their backbones and diverse services without the need to utilize telephone company provided interconnections.In 2020, real estate investment trust Digital Realty acquired a majority stake in the building and assumed management responsibilities.

1918 Eighth Avenue is a 500-foot-tall (150 m) skyscraper in the Denny Regrade neighborhood of Seattle, in the U.S. state of Washington. It was completed in 2009 and has 36 floors, consisting mostly of office space. On August 25, 2008, the tower gained its first tenant, law firm Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro. The firm leased 21,000 square feet (2,000 m2) of the building. The 658,744-square-foot (61,199.3 m2) building was developed by Schnitzer West, LLC and is now owned by an affiliate of JPMorgan Chase, which purchased it for $350 million after Schnitzer put it up for sale in May 2011, shortly after Amazon.com signed a long-term lease for more than two thirds of the office space.

The Westin Seattle is a twin-tower highrise hotel in Seattle, Washington. The south tower, with 40 floors at 121 m (397 ft), opened on June 29, 1969, as the Washington Plaza Hotel. It was built on the site of the historic Orpheum theater. Western International Hotels operated the Washington Plaza as one property with the adjacent Benjamin Franklin Hotel, built in 1929. John Graham & Associates, the new hotel's architects, had previously designed the Space Needle, first proposed by Edward Carlson, head of Western International Hotels, which also operated the tower's restaurant. The Benjamin Franklin was demolished in July 1980 for construction of a second, nearly identical tower. While work on the tower went on, the company was renamed Westin Hotels. The Washington Plaza was the first property in the chain to be renamed, becoming The Westin Hotel on September 1, 1981. Also in 1981, Westin opened their corporate headquarters directly across the street in the Westin Building, which shared a parking garage with the hotel. The 137 m (449 ft), 47-story north tower opened in June 1982 and is the tallest hotel in the city. The Westin Seattle is currently the flagship property of the Westin brand. The hotel's two towers are featured on the cover art for the Modest Mouse album The Lonesome Crowded West.

Cirrus is a 440-foot-tall (130 m) residential skyscraper in the Denny Triangle neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. The building, named after the cirrus cloud, has 41 floors and is located at the intersection of Westlake Avenue, 8th Avenue and Lenora Street. Construction on Cirrus, then known as 2030 8th Avenue, began in May 2013 and opened in 2015. The building was originally designed for condominiums but was reconfigured for smaller apartments by architects Weber Thompson after GID Development desired a move to the rental market.The building opened in October 2015, with the average monthly rent for a 1-bedroom apartment at $2,903. GID Development has also developed a second apartment building named "Stratus" across Lenora Street from Cirrus.
