Sixth Form Government is a government secondary school offering advanced level studies, situated on Ethel Street, Saint James, Trinidad and Tobago. At night, the same buildings function as the Polytechnic Institute, a night school for adult education.

Fatima College is a government-assisted, Roman Catholic boys' secondary school in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. It was established in 1945 and had an enrollment of 895 students as of 2006. The school was established and is run by the Holy Ghost Fathers, an international Roman Catholic religious community.

The Hasely Crawford Stadium, formerly the National Stadium, is located in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. It was inaugurated and formally opened by Prime Minister George Chambers on 12 June 1982. On 30 December 1996, Prime Minister Basdeo Panday officially designated it "The Hasely Crawford Stadium", after track and field athlete Hasely Crawford, the first person from Trinidad and Tobago to win an Olympic gold medal.

The Maraval River is a small river/mountain stream located on the west coast of the island of Trinidad.It runs for a length of 4.39 kilometres (3 mi) from its origins in the Northern Range to its river mouth at Port of Spain, where it enters the Gulf of Paria. In the late 1850s a dam and filtration plant was constructed on the upper reaches of the Maraval River, and until the 1900s it served as Port of Spain's main drinking water supply. In 1912 it was transferred to the Port-of-Spain Water Authority. It is currently the property of the Water and Sewerage Authority.

The Queen's Park Oval is a sports stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, used mostly for cricket matches. It opened in 1896. Privately owned by the Queen's Park Cricket Club, it is currently the second largest capacity cricket ground in the West Indies with seating for about 20,000 spectators.It has hosted more Test matches than any other ground in the Caribbean with 60 as of January 2018, and also hosted a number of One-Day International (ODI) matches, including many World Series Cricket games in 1979 and matches of the 2007 Cricket World Cup. The Trinidad and Tobago cricket team play most of their home matches at the ground, and it is the home ground of the Caribbean Premier League team Trinbago Knight Riders. Considered by many players, journalists and critics as one of the most picturesque cricket venues, the ground first hosted a Test match in February 1930 when England toured the Caribbean, though it had previously hosted many first class tours as early as the 1897 tour under Lord Hawke. The pavilion dates back to 1896, though there were extensive renovations in the 1950s and in 2007 prior to the World Cup and following an earthquake. The "Concrete Stand" was renamed the "Learie Constantine Stand" in recognition of that former West Indies cricketer. The first ODI match at the ground was played in March 1983, and the first Twenty20 International in 2009.As well as the main cricket stadium, the facility includes a gym, indoor and outdoor cricket practice nets, two squash courts and two outdoor tennis courts. The cricket field has also been used to host several domestic and international football matches, and several music events.

Federation Park is an upscale residential neighbourhood in northwestern Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. Federation Park was built to house delegates to the Federal Parliament of the West Indies Federation. As a result of this, the streets in Federation Park are named for the various territories which made up the Federation. After the dissolution of the Federation in 1962 the houses in Federation Park were used to house senior civil servants and professionals in the government service. By the mid-1990s, many of these houses were later sold off to private owners, mainly affluent business persons and non-governmental professionals. Today a fairly large portion of these houses have been either renovated or completely replaced by more modern multimillion-dollar mansions that are rented out to foreign embassies as residences and oil companies to house their expatriate senior staff.

The Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) is a regional public health agency headquartered in Trinidad and Tobago which was established by CARICOM leaders in July 2011 and began operation in 2013.CARPHA combines the functions of five pre-existing regional health institutions: The Caribbean Environmental Health Institute (CEHI), The Caribbean Epidemiology Centre (CAREC), The Caribbean Food and Nutrition Institute (CFNI), The Caribbean Health Research Centre (CHRC), and The Caribbean Research and Drug Treatment Laboratory (CRDTL).

The British Academy is a private, co-ed, primary and secondary school in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago established in 2006. It is certificated by Cambridge Assessment International Education.

Ellerslie Park is an exclusive residential development in the northwestern corner of Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. The development is in the shape of an oval with a single entrance. No two homes are the same, a result of each home being built to the specifications of its original owner. Apart from private homes, Ellerslie Park is also the location of official residencies belonging to senior government officials and foreign diplomats. It is located within walking distance of the Queen's Park Savannah and various hotels and shopping facilities.

The Chinese Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago is the official representative of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

Saint Clair is a business and residential district between the Queen's Park Savannah and the Maraval River in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. It is home to most of the city's grandest and largest mansions and also home to the Magnificent Seven Houses. Federation Park and Ellerslie Park. St Clair is one of Port of Spain's five police districts.In 1893, St Clair was host to the Inter-Colonial Cup, a three-way cricket match between Trinidad and Tobago (then Trinidad), Barbados, and the-then British Guiana. Only white players were allowed, and that excluded most of the home side's best cricketers.

Dibe is a village in north Trinidad located northwest of downtown Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. The village is home to the poor and the rich, who respectively live on the surrounding hills and meadows, which has been described as living between a rock and a hard place. Upper Dibe, better known as “Cripple Creek” or ‘’’the Creek”’, has had a dark history with incessant gang warfare for over three decades.The Dibe area is culturally and racially diverse with a population mix of African Trinidadian (73%), Indian Trinidadian (10%), Mixed (14%), and Chinese/Caucasian/Syrian (2%). The age group of the youth population 7 - 24 represents 35% of the local population. Dibe has a high number of women who have never been married 36% as compared to married couples 23%, or to Common-Law relationships which make up approximately 15%. Most of the households in Dibe are low income households, but there is an upscale housing project, “the Meadows”, with about fifty high income households.In spite of its continued high risk reputation, the Dibe Community has produced some notable personalities including: Frank Porter, the holder of a 2004 National Award of the Public Service Medal of Merit Gold, an author of several books including the Trinidad and Tobago Republic Readers, and a National Director of Youth For Christ Trinidad and Tobago; Joan Porter, a three times National 100 metres Women's Champion and former Trinidad and Tobago Olympic athlete; Dwight Yearwood, the well known differently-abled marathon runner, a member of the Dibe Church of the Nazarene, which is one of two influential community churches that have been working to improve the reputation of Dibe, the other being the People’s United fellowship; Ester Hope-Washington who currently resides in the USA, a three times National 100 metres Women's Champion and former Trinidad and Tobago Olympic athlete; Michael Fraser, a Disabled Peoples International Deputy Chairperson for Human Rights and President of DPI Trinidad and Tobago.
