The current headquarters of the Feria de Muestras de Bilbao, its facilities are located on land formerly occupied by the Basque iron company Altos Hornos de Vizcaya in the neighbourhood of Ansio in Barakaldo, in the Greater Bilbao area. These facilities, opened in April 2004, allow for high capacity international fairs with better services, infrastructure, and connections than the previous facilities in central Bilbao.The Bilbao Exhibition Centre is jointly owned by the Basque Government, the Provincial Council of Biscay, Bilbao Municipal Council, Barakaldo Municipal Council and the Bilbao Chamber of Commerce.

Ansio is a station on line 2 of the Bilbao metro. It is located in the neighborhood of Arteagabeitia-Zuazu, in the municipality of Barakaldo. The station is located next to the main entrance to the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC). The main Customer Attention Offices for line 2 are also located in this station. It opened on 13 April 2002.

Bizkaia Arena is an indoor arena in Barakaldo, Greater Bilbao. It is the biggest multipurpose hall in Spain, as it can hold up to 26,000 people, and 15,414 for indoor sports. The arena is part of the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC) complex, the Exhibition and Congress Centre of Bilbao and Biscay, inaugurated in April 2004. The venue regularly hosts basketball games, for which it has a capacity of 15,414. It was one of the six venues used for the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup, hosted by Spain. The arena hosted the annual MTV Europe Music Awards in 2018 as the awards show was held in Spain for the third time and the first time in Bilbao.

The Municipal Conservatory of Sestao or the Municipal Conservatory of Music of Sestao (Spanish: Conservatorio Municipal de Música de Sestao) is a teaching institution, which is devoted to music education. The present ownership belongs to the Sestao City Hall. It was founded in 1912–1914, by the Municipal Music Band of Sestao as a music school in order to equip itself with new musicians who would become part of the municipal band (for this reason it was later given the name of the director of the Municipal Band, Mr. Victor Miranda Zuazua). Its original name is "Municipal Conservatory of Sestao" and that was its official name until the beginning of the 21st century (2000-2002). The most famous student of the Municipal Conservatory of Sestao is Spanish-Italian violinist Felix Ayo.

Erandio is a town and municipality located in the province of Biscay, in the autonomous community of Basque Country, northern Spain. The name comes from euskera ARANDIO that means plum plantation or field. In 1415, during the War of the Bands, the corregidor, the royally-appointed governor of the Biscayan hermandad, acting on royal orders, siphoned off Biscayan wheat to the Asturias, inciting a rebellion. The Biscayans were defeated at Erandio with the loss of sixty men and the wheat transfers continued.
