Whitnall Park

Wehr Nature Center is a 220-acre (89 ha) nature preserve located in Hales Corners, Wisconsin: it is part of Whitnall Park. It was named for philanthropist Todd Wehr whose foundation donated $200,000 USD to help build the center.

Boerner Botanical Gardens are botanical gardens located on the grounds of Whitnall Park in the village of Hales Corners, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. The gardens are named for Alfred Boerner, who designed the original five formal gardens. The Annual, Perennial, Rock, Rose and Peony Gardens were constructed in the 1930s. Later additions included trial, herb, lily and shrub rose gardens, as well as the Bog Walk. Part of the Milwaukee County Park System, the gardens are maintained by professional horticulturalists. Many species of plant life are cultivated and displayed. The gardens include test and display gardens for All-America Selections, and is an American Hosta Society Display Garden.Boerner Botanical Gardens is open from late April to early November, and closes for the winter.Within the gardens and adjacent to them in Whitnall Park, and along the Root River Parkway is the arboretum, which showcases arranged groves of trees and shrubs. Nearby are the Wehr Nature Center and the historic Trimborn Farm estate, which are also maintained by the county park system.

Franklin Field (formerly known as Routine Field and briefly as Milkmen Stadium) is a baseball park in Franklin, Wisconsin, which is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. The ballpark was built on the site of a former landfill. It is the home of the Milwaukee Milkmen, an independent professional baseball team playing in the American Association of Professional Baseball, and it will be the home of the NCAA Division I University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers baseball team. The ballpark opened with the Milkmen losing 3–2 loss in 11 innings to the Gary SouthShore RailCats on June 24, 2019, a month after the first home game for the Milkmen was played at Kokomo Municipal Stadium in Indiana.

Trimborn Farm is a Victorian era estate located in Greendale, Wisconsin, United States, and owned by Milwaukee County. Spanning 7.5 acres (18.5 hectares) and nine buildings, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The farm is also a State Historic Site and designated Milwaukee County Landmark.

The Jeremiah Curtin House is a stone building built in 1846. It was the boyhood home of noted American linguist and folklorist Jeremiah Curtin (1840-1906) and is part of the Trimborn Farm estate in Greendale, Wisconsin. The house is owned by the Milwaukee County Historical Society and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house is a two-story building with 18-inch (0.46 m) thick walls of Milwaukee County limestone and stucco. It is about 24.5 feet (7.5 m) by 19 feet (5.8 m) in plan. The house was restored in the 1930s in a Works Project Administration project but later was vandalized heavily. It was acquired by the Milwaukee County Historical Society in 1952.In addition to its association with Jeremiah Curtin, it was deemed notable as it was believed to be the first stone dwelling in Greenfield Township and the oldest surviving structure in the area. It is also significant as a tangible representation of Irish immigration to the rural areas of Milwaukee County.The NRHP nomination for the house asserts incorrectly that it was the birthplace for Jeremiah Curtin, but in fact he was born in Detroit in 1840.

At 1,177,783 square feet (109,420 square metres) it is Wisconsin's second largest mall behind Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa, tied with Fox River Mall in Appleton. The mall's anchor stores are TJ Maxx, Dick's Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, Macy's, JCPenney, and Round 1 Entertainment. There are 2 vacant anchor stores that were once Boston Store and Kohl's. Sears closed in September 2017, Kohl's relocated to a mixed use development on September 29, 2018, and Boston Store closed in Summer 2018 as parent company Bon-Ton went out of business. The former Sears was replaced by Dick's Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, Round 1 Entertainment, and TJ Maxx.

Whitnall High School is a comprehensive secondary school in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. It is part of the Whitnall School District. It is named for Charles B. Whitnall, the first Socialist City Treasurer of Milwaukee and the architect of Milwaukee County's system of public parks.
