St. James School, Maryland

St. James is a census-designated place (CDP) in Washington County, Maryland, United States. The population was 1,657 at the 2000 census. It is also the home of St. James School, Hagerstown, a small, Episcopalian, boarding school. St. James was formerly named "Lydia."

Hagerstown Premium Outlets, is an open-air outlet mall located along Interstate 70, 3 mi (4.8 km) east of the highway's junction with Interstate 81, in Hagerstown, Maryland, United States. It is one of two major shopping malls in Washington County (the other being the indoor Valley Mall). Built by Baltimore-based Prime Retail and was formerly named Prime Outlets-Hagerstown, the outlet center opened in 1998 with approximately 55 stores. Subsequent additions in 1999 and 2000 brought the total number of stores to between 100 and 115 and over 450,000 square feet (42,000 m2) of retail space. The center was designed with a village-style layout and walking lanes throughout. Hagerstown Premium Outlets is chiefly anchored by Wolf Furniture & Outlet. Smaller anchor stores exist such as Adidas, Calvin Klein, Coach, Polo Ralph Lauren, and The Children's Place. The center also contains a food court with Auntie Anne's and Dairy Queen. The outlet mall caters not only to residents in Hagerstown, surrounding Washington County, and neighboring counties in Maryland, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, but also to shoppers from the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore areas, especially on weekends and holidays.In late August 2010, the center was acquired by Simon Property Group's Premium Outlet sector along with the majority of the Prime Outlet centers and was renamed Hagerstown Premium Outlets in September 2010.

Halfway is a census-designated place (CDP) in Washington County, Maryland, United States. The population was 11,896 at the 2020 census. It is named due to its location, which is halfway between Hagerstown and Williamsport. As a major suburb of Hagerstown, Halfway is part of the Hagerstown-Martinsburg, MD-WV, Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Washington County Technical High School is a public school offering technology-related and general classes for students in 11th and 12th grades. The school building is located on a tract of land with several schools including South Hagerstown High School. This area lies near the southern city limits of Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland, United States. The school opened in 1972 and is part of the Washington County Public Schools system. Its principal is Cody Pine.WCTHS has 17 different career and technology programs for students to choose from. Each instructional program offers a current, relevant, industry-based curriculum. WCTHS also offers a wide variety of academic classes. Offsite from the main building, there is an alternate building called the Public Service Academy. That building serves as the school for the Criminal Justice Program, Homeland Security Program, and the Fire & Rescue Academy Program The facility also houses Washington County's Evening High School which serves adults looking to earn a high school diploma. The school is a public high school located just inside the southern city limits of Hagerstown, Maryland, United States. The school is housed within a facility that also contains Washington County Technical High School. Evening High serves adult students who wish to complete their high school courses in order to receive high school diplomas. The school is part of Washington County Public Schools system.

Elmwood is a historic 19th century estate at 16311 Kendle Road, northeast of Williamsport in Washington County, Maryland. The elegant Greek Revival estate house was built in 1855 by James Downey, a canal merchant. The 6-acre (2.4 ha) remnant of Downey's estate includes a 19th-century barn, milking barn, and hog barn.The estate was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Antietam Academy is a public high school and middle school in Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland, United States. The school consists of an alternative program specializing in behavioral as well as academic disciplines for students in grades 6–12. It was formally renamed in 2003 after being known as the Alternative Center since its introduction in 1977. Up until 2011, its middle school and high school components were housed in two different locations, both in Hagerstown, Maryland. One. In January 2011 its new facility was opened in Hagerstown ass. That is now home to both levels. After its opening the building, on 40 West Oak Ridge Drive, has become home to other educational progrtwoams, including Evening High School and a summer school program. The High School Assistant Prindicks cipal is Frank English. The school is part of the Washington County Public Schools system. The High School Day is 8:45 to 3:30 and Middle School is 8:30 to 3:00.

Valley Mall is a super-regional shopping mall serving Hagerstown, Western Maryland and nearby communities in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Valley Mall is the only indoor mall in the Hagerstown Metropolitan Area since the other closed, Martinsburg Mall. The metro area lies mainly within the rich, fertile Cumberland and Shenandoah valleys, and is approximately a 60–90 minute drive from Washington, D.C.; Baltimore, Maryland; and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Hagerstown is approximately 75 miles (121 km) driving distance from all three cities. The population of the metropolitan area as of 2008 is 263,753.

Valentia is a historic home located at Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland, United States. It is a large 2+1⁄2-story L-shaped stone farmhouse, facing south overlooking Antietam Creek. The house features a flat-roofed, one-story porch covers the south door and flanking windows and is supported by four Doric columns resting on stone piers. Also on the property is a small tenant house and Miller's House, constructed of the same stone as the main house.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Tammany, or Mount Tammany, is a historic home located at Williamsport, Washington County, Maryland, United States. It is a two-part brick structure resting on low fieldstone foundations. The main block is a two-story, three-bay structure with a side hall entrance. Attached to its north gable wall is a two-story five-bay structure also of brick. The house features a one-story porch with a low-hipped roof, supported by round Doric columns. It is believed to have been built in the 1780s by Matthew Van Lear, a prominent early resident of Washington County.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

South Hagerstown High School is located at 1101 South Potomac Street, in Hagerstown, Maryland, United States. The current principal is Rodney Gayman. The 164,000 square-foot school is part of the Washington County Public Schools system and has an official capacity of 1240.

Downsville is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in southwestern Washington County, Maryland, United States. Its population was 355 as of the 2010 census. It is located southeast of Williamsport on Maryland Route 63 and on Maryland Route 632, southwest of Hagerstown. It is officially included in the Hagerstown Metropolitan Area (Hagerstown-Martinsburg, MD-WV Metropolitan Statistical Area).
