Valley Mall is a super-regional shopping mall serving Hagerstown, Western Maryland and nearby communities in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Valley Mall is the only indoor mall in the Hagerstown Metropolitan Area since the other closed, Martinsburg Mall. Anchor stores include Belk, Dick's Sporting Goods, JCPenney, Onelife Fitness, and Tilt Studio.

The Sprechers Mill House, also known as Salisbury, is a historic home located at Williamsport, Washington County, Maryland, United States. It is a two-story, three-bay brick structure set on low fieldstone foundations, with a one-story, two-bay brick wing also of brick construction. The home features an elaborate main entrance.The Sprechers Mill House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Tammany, or Mount Tammany, is a historic home located at Williamsport, Washington County, Maryland, United States. It is a two-part brick structure resting on low fieldstone foundations. The main block is a two-story, three-bay structure with a side hall entrance. Attached to its north gable wall is a two-story five-bay structure also of brick. The house features a one-story porch with a low-hipped roof, supported by round Doric columns. It is believed to have been built in the 1780s by Matthew Van Lear, a prominent early resident of Washington County.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

It is named due to its location, which is halfway between Hagerstown and Williamsport. As a major suburb of Hagerstown, Halfway is part of the Hagerstown-Martinsburg, MD-WV, Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Kemps Mill is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Washington County, Maryland, United States. Its population was 126 as of the 2010 census. It is named after a 1739 built mill structure which still stands in 2020 and has operated under a variety of names through almost three centuries. The mill dam creates a slackwater which is popular for fishing and other recreational water activities. The mill is several miles above the mouth of the Conococheague Creek which flows to the Potomac River at a location where Native American trading posts existed for many centuries prior to European settlement in the area.

Elmwood is a historic 19th century estate at 16311 Kendle Road, northeast of Williamsport in Washington County, Maryland. The elegant Greek Revival estate house was built in 1855 by James Downey, a canal merchant. The 6-acre (2.4 ha) remnant of Downey's estate includes a 19th-century barn, milking barn, and hog barn.The estate was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Springfield Farm is a historic home and farm located at Williamsport, Washington County, Maryland, United States. It was built in three distinct parts, with the center, or original section, dating from the second half of the 18th century. This two-story plus attic beaded clapboard house is five bays wide with an entrance in the center bay of both the first and second stories on the east façade. The property includes a springhouse and stillhouse both of rough fieldstone, and several smaller buildings. It was a home of Revolutionary War General Otho Holland Williams (1749-1794).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.The farm's barn was purchased by the Town of Williamsport, which now operates the Williamsport Town Museum in the former milk parlor.

Williamsport Historic District is a national historic district at Williamsport, Washington County, Maryland, United States. The district consists of the historic core of this town. Almost 20 percent of the buildings in the district date from the late 18th and early 19th centuries. They are generally of log or brick construction until the second quarter of the 19th century. The district includes one of less than 10 banking houses still remaining in the US that were constructed during the first National Bank time frame, the Williamsport Banking Mansion, circa 1814. The town grew with the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal and railroads, which resulted in prominent late 19th century Italianate and Queen Anne style buildings for residential and commercial purposes. Slightly less than 60 percent of the buildings date from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

The Doubleday Hill Monument is an American Civil War monument located in Williamsport, Maryland, in what is now River View Cemetery. Erected in 1897, the monument commemorates the crossing of the Potomac River and occupation of the hill by Major General Abner Doubleday. The monument, also known Doubleday Hill, overlooks the Potomac River into West Virginia. The monument also credits Doubleday with creating the game of baseball in 1835, an unlikely claim which Doubleday himself never made. A popular legend circulating at the time of the monument's erection claimed that Doubleday invented baseball in 1839, although Doubleday was attending West Point that year.Doubleday Hill was a deviation from the more popular form of late 19th and early 20th century monuments: the statue of a standing, uniformed soldier. Between the years of 1863 through 1919, monuments often depicted a soldier “standing holding the barrel of a rifle that rests upright on the ground in front of him." This more common form was particularly prevalent from 1880 to 1920.Monuments placed at locations other than battlefield parks during the years 1863 to 1919 normally honored soldiers and sailors from the same town, county, or state where the monument was erected. The Doubleday Hill monument differed from this practice by celebrating occupation of the site by Doubleday, who was from Ballston Spa, New York.
