Antietam Academy is a public high school and middle school in Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland, United States. The school consists of an alternative program specializing in behavioral as well as academic disciplines for students in grades 6–12. It was formally renamed in 2003 after being known as the Alternative Center since its introduction in 1977. Up until 2011, its middle school and high school components were housed in two different locations, both in Hagerstown, Maryland. One. In January 2011 its new facility was opened in Hagerstown ass. That is now home to both levels. After its opening the building, on 40 West Oak Ridge Drive, has become home to other educational progrtwoams, including Evening High School and a summer school program. The High School Assistant Prindicks cipal is Frank English. The school is part of the Washington County Public Schools system. The High School Day is 8:45 to 3:30 and Middle School is 8:30 to 3:00.

Hagerstown Premium Outlets, is an open-air outlet mall located along Interstate 70, 3 mi (4.8 km) east of the highway's junction with Interstate 81, in Hagerstown, Maryland, United States. It is one of two major shopping malls in Washington County (the other being the indoor Valley Mall). Built by Baltimore-based Prime Retail and was formerly named Prime Outlets-Hagerstown, the outlet center opened in 1998 with approximately 55 stores. Subsequent additions in 1999 and 2000 brought the total number of stores to between 100 and 115 and over 450,000 square feet (42,000 m2) of retail space. The center was designed with a village-style layout and walking lanes throughout. Hagerstown Premium Outlets is chiefly anchored by Wolf Furniture & Outlet. Smaller anchor stores exist such as Adidas, Calvin Klein, Coach, Polo Ralph Lauren, and The Children's Place. The center also contains a food court with Auntie Anne's and Dairy Queen. The outlet mall caters not only to residents in Hagerstown, surrounding Washington County, and neighboring counties in Maryland, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, but also to shoppers from the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore areas, especially on weekends and holidays.In late August 2010, the center was acquired by Simon Property Group's Premium Outlet sector along with the majority of the Prime Outlet centers and was renamed Hagerstown Premium Outlets in September 2010.

South Hagerstown High School is located at 1101 South Potomac Street, in Hagerstown, Maryland, United States. The current principal is Rodney Gayman. The 164,000 square-foot school is part of the Washington County Public Schools system and has an official capacity of 1240.

Rose Hill Cemetery, located in Hagerstown, Maryland, is the oldest public cemetery in Washington County Maryland. The cemetery features over 102 acres of burial space and is the final resting place of over 43,000 individuals. The cemetery was established on land originally granted to the Wroe family by King George III in the 1700s. Dr. John A. Wroe and his wife purchased the land. Their home was on a hill called Wroe's Hill. In 1865, William T. Hamilton and a group of individuals established the Hagerstown Cemetery Association and in 1866 purchased land needed to establish the area's first public cemetery and chartered the cemetery as Rose Hill Cemetery of Hagerstown.

The Washington Confederate Cemetery is a Confederate Cemetery in Hagerstown, Maryland. Its burials include Confederate dead from such nearby battles as Antietam, Gettysburg, Monocacy and South Mountain. Less than 20 percent of its burials are identified. It was established in 1871 as a section of the Rose Hill Cemetery (Maryland).

Western Maryland Railway No. 202 is a preserved 4-6-2 "pacific" steam locomotive built in 1912 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works for the Western Maryland Railway. The locomotive was used for pulling various passenger trains of the WM over the course of 40 years. In 1938, the locomotive was refitted with Walschaert valve gear, replacing its original Baker valve gear. In 1947, it was converted to burn oil and stayed east of Cumberland after the conversion. No. 202 pulled its last revenue freight assignment in 1952, and it was subsequently retired and donated "to the children of Hagerstown", to be displayed in City Park, Hagerstown, Maryland. It is one of only two surviving Western Maryland steam locomotives and the only surviving mainline WM steam locomotive.No. 202 spent so much time being exposed to the elements and vandals, that it was cosmetically restored in 2008 for a cleaner appearance. However, the locomotive is still remains in City Park, as of 2022. No. 202 was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Garden Hill, also known as the Robert Cushen farmstead, is a historic home located at Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland, United States. It was built about 1865, and is a two-story five-bay brick dwelling with a formal facade and a central entrance. The house features Greek Revival detailing, with some Gothic Revival influence in interior trim.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) is a U.S. public school system run for the residents of Washington County, Maryland. The central offices of WCPS are collectively known as the Washington County Board of Education, which is located on 10435 Downsville Pike in Hagerstown. On 1 July 2022, Dr. David T. Sovine began serving as superintendent of Washington County Public Schools.

The Hager House is a two-story stone house in Hagerstown, Maryland, United States that dates to c. 1740. The house was built by Jonathan Hager, a German immigrant from Westphalia, who founded Hagerstown. The basement contains two spring-fed pools of water, providing a secure water source. Hager sold the property, then known as Hager's Fancy to Jacob Rohrer. The house remained in the Rohrer family until 1944, when it was acquired by the Washington County Historical Society. The restored house was given to the City of Hagerstown in 1954 and opened to the public in 1962 as a historic house museum.The Hager House is located off Key Street in Hagerstown City Park, and is open for visits from April through December. Tours, on the hour, go from 10am to 4pm. The Hager House is the site of many activities throughout the year as well, including annual Fall Fest, Doll House Tours, Ghost Tours, and Archaeological Dig-It Tours.

Houses At 16-22 East Lee Street is a block of historic homes located at Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland, United States. They area group of five, 2+1⁄2-story frame rowhouses. The buildings rest on brick and stone foundations and have two inner open passageways leading from the street to the rear elevations. They are an important example of lower middle class domestic architecture in Hagerstown, erected about 1894.The houses were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. Much of the houses' detailing has been covered by vinyl siding and aluminum trim.

Funkstown Historic District is a national historic district at Funkstown, Washington County, Maryland, United States. The district includes 217 contributing buildings, one contributing structure, and three contributing sites. The National Road forms Funkstown's main street and shaped in a significant way the appearance of the town. Funkstown's early and most extensive development was along this route, including the town's oldest known dwelling, the Jacob Funk House, built by the founder in 1769. Other properties are of sided log, stone, or brick construction of mixed residential and commercial use, dating from the late 18th century through the mid 20th century.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.
