Angel Island Immigration Station was an immigration station in San Francisco Bay which operated from January 21, 1910, to November 5, 1940, where immigrants entering the United States were detained and interrogated. Angel Island is an island in San Francisco Bay. It is currently a State Park administered by California State Parks and a California Historical Landmark. The island was originally a fishing and hunting site for Coastal Miwok Indians, then it was a haven for Spanish explorer Juan Manuel de Ayala. Later, it was developed as a cattle ranch, then, starting with the Civil War, the island served as a U.S. Army post. During the island's Immigration Station period, the island held hundreds of thousands of immigrants, the majority from China, Japan, India, Mexico and the Philippines. The detention facility was considered ideal because of its isolated location, making it very easy to control immigrants, contain outbreaks of disease, and enforce the new immigration laws. The station is listed on the National Register of Historic Places under the title Angel Island, U.S. Immigration Station, and is a National Historic Landmark. The station is open to the public as a museum – "a place for reflection and discovery of our shared history as a nation of immigrants".

Brickyard Cove is a body of water in the Brickyard Cove neighborhood of the Point Richmond area of Richmond, California. The cove is situated between the Harbor Channel, a deepwater shipping channel that connects the San Francisco Bay with the Port of Richmond and the mainland. The cove is located between Point Potrero and Ferry Point. A marina is located in the cove and the Red Oak Victory part of Rosie the Riveter/World War II Homefront National Historic Park is docked in the western end of the cove. Brickyard Cove was once home to Richmond Brick Company. Richmond Brick Company used the area to create bricks used to build various structures in "Point Richmond" and various other structures on the East Coast. The "Bee-Hive" Kilns are still present onsite. Richmond Brick Company was owned by the "Sevy Family".

Ferry Point is a cape on the San Francisco Bay in western Richmond, California, United States. Once the Northern California terminal for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, the area has been developed as a regional park.

Angel Island is an island in San Francisco Bay. The entire island is included within Angel Island State Park, administered by California State Parks. The island, a California Historical Landmark, has been used by humans for a variety of purposes, including seasonal hunting and gathering by indigenous peoples, water and timber supply for European ships, ranching by Mexicans, United States military installations, a United States Public Health Service Quarantine Station, and a U.S. Bureau of Immigration inspection and detention facility. The Angel Island Immigration Station, on the northeast corner of the island, which has been designated a National Historic Landmark, was where officials detained, inspected, and examined approximately one million immigrants, who primarily came from Asia. Under the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882, the first United States law to restrict a group of immigrants based on their race, nationality, and class, all arriving Chinese immigrants were to be examined by immigration or customs agents.

Ayala Cove is a ferry terminal on Angel Island in Marin County, California in the San Francisco Bay Area. There is regularly scheduled passenger ferry service to Tiburon as well as San Francisco. Service is provided by the Angel Island - Tiburon Ferry and takes 15 minutes crossing Racoon Strait to Tiburon Ferry Terminal. Golden Gate Ferry operates ferries to the San Francisco Ferry Building.

Brickyard Cove Pond is a small lake in the Brickyard Cove District of Richmond, California. It was formed from quarrying of Nicholl's Knob the surrounding hill. It is fed by Brickyard Springs, a series of underground springs. Before the early 20th Century it was a swimming pond for local boys who often went skinny dipping at the lake. However this ceased when local cattle ranchers began dumping manure in the pond.

Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline is a 295-acre (1.19 km2) bayside park near the Brickyard Cove neighborhood of the Point Richmond District in Richmond, California.

The Golden State Model Railroad Museum is an operating model railroad exhibit located in Point Richmond, California, within the boundary of the Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline park. It is located in the Brickyard Cove area and features dozens of realistic city and country scenes, with trains from different eras running on several layouts in different scales. It is on the US National Register of Historic Places. Previously based in Oakland, the East Bay Model Engineers Society, which builds and operates the layouts in the Museum, was founded in 1933 and is one of the oldest continually operating model railroad clubs in the country. Construction of the museum began in 1986.The Museum operates models ranging from the steam engines and classic passenger trains to today's modern diesel behemoths and Amtrak passenger trains. The 10,000 square foot exhibit includes O scale, HO scale and N scale models, replicating many California railroading locations.Track layouts include historic scenes such as the Oakland Mole, Oakland 16th Street stations ca. 1955, Martinez' John Muir trestle, Tehachapi Loop, Niles Canyon, and Donner Pass.

Point Potrero is a point in San Pablo Bay forming a cape and hugging the Potrero Hills in Richmond, California.The cape is covered with chaparral and lies between San Pablo Bay to the west and north, and Castro Cove to the east. The Chevron Richmond Refinery and Potrero Ridge lay just east of the point. Winehaven lies on its western slopes, and was once the largest winery in the United States. The area is currently isolated from the urban core and serves as habitat for deer and other creatures. The southern end of the ridge developed with many houses in the historic Point Richmond neighborhood. Part of the western coast is part of Point Molate Regional Park.
