Porte de la Chapelle (French pronunciation: ​[pɔʁt də la ʃapɛl]) is a station on line 12 of the Paris Métro in the districts of La Chapelle and Goutte d'Or and the 18th arrondissement. The station opened on 23 August 1916 as part of the extension of the Nord-Sud company's line A from Jules Joffrin. On 27 March 1931 line A became line 12 of the Métro. Porte de la Chapelle was the terminus of line 12 until 18 December 2012, when an extension opened to Front Populaire. The station is named after the Porte de la Chapelle, a gate in the nineteenth century Thiers wall of Paris, on the Rue de la Chapelle, the old Roman road to Calais via Saint-Denis, now Route nationale 1. It was named after a village that was annexed by Paris in 1860 and was named after a chapel to Saint Genevieve built in the 6th century. The station is featured in "Crossroads", an episode of the American HBO series "Band of Brothers". Work is under way to extend the line into the commune of Aubervilliers, initially to Front Populaire, which opened in 2012. It is proposed to extend it further north through several stations to La Courneuve – Aubervilliers RER line B station or La Courneuve 6 Routes Tramway line 1 station.An interchange with Paris tramway Line 3b opened on 15 December 2012. The tramway terminates at Porte de la Chapelle.

The Quartier de La Chapelle is a neighborhood of Paris, in the eastern part of the 18th arrondissement. It was originally the village of La Chapelle on the outskirts of Paris and a commune in its own right, separated from the commune of Paris by the wall of the Farmers-General. However, as part of the city's major 19th-century expansion, the former village was absorbed by Paris in 1860.

Front Populaire (French pronunciation: ​[fʁɔ̃ pɔpylɛːʁ]) is part of Line 12 of the Paris Métro. It is named after the nearby Place du Front Populaire in Aubervilliers on the border with Saint-Denis, which was named in honour of a coalition of left-wing parties that governed France from 1936 to 1938. It was the 301st station to open.

The Saint Joan of Arc Basilica (French: Basilique Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc) is located on the Rue de Torcy and the Rue de la Chapelle in the quartier de la Chapelle of the 18th arrondissement of Paris. Its design was the subject of a contentious design competetition. The winning partially-completed design was eventually scrapped in favor of a more modest modernist design.

Marx Dormoy (French pronunciation: ​[maʁks dɔʁmwa]) is a station on line 12 of the Paris Métro in the districts of La Chapelle and Goutte d'Or and the 18th arrondissement. The station opened on 23 August 1916 as part of the extension of the Nord-Sud company's line A from Jules Joffrin to Porte de la Chapelle. On 27 March 1931 line A became line 12 of the Métro. The station is named after Marx Dormoy (1888–1941), a French socialist politician assassinated by Cagoulards. Until 1946 it was called Torcy after the Place de Torcy, named after Colbert de Torcy (1665–1746), who was a nephew of Colbert and a diplomat and Foreign Minister under Louis XIV. Nearby is the church of Jeanne d'Arc, where Joan of Arc prayed on 3 September 1429 and the la Chapelle market.

St. Sava's Church (Serbian: Црква Светог Саве) in Paris is a Serbian Orthodox church in France. The church had been used as Protestant church in the past. From 1962 it was rented for worship, and in 1984 it was purchased and converted to the Serbian Orthodox Church. The church is located at the address 23 rue du Simplon, in the 18th arrondissement.

The Thiers wall (Enceinte de Thiers) was the last of the defensive walls of Paris. It was an enclosure constructed between 1841 and 1846 and was proposed by the French prime minister Adolphe Thiers but was actually implemented by his successor. The 33 kilometres (21 mi) long wall and ditch made a complete circuit around the city as it stood at the time of the July Monarchy. It was bombarded by the Prussian Army during the Franco-Prussian War, captured by government troops during the Paris Commune and refortified at the start of the First World War. However, by then it had become obsolete as a fortification, was a barrier to the expansion of the city, and the area immediately outside of it, known as "the zone", had become a shanty town. The wall was demolished in the interwar period; its path today can be traced by the Boulevards of the Marshals which originally ran just behind the fortifications and by the Boulevard Périphérique which was later built just outside. A few remnants of the wall can still be seen.

The Cent Quatre (pronounced [sɑ̃ katʁ], meaning "104") is a public cultural centre in Paris, which opened on 11 October 2008 on the site of a former municipal undertaker's at 104 rue d'Aubervilliers, in the 19th arrondissement of the city.

Rosa Parks station (French: Gare Rosa Parks) is a railway station in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, France near the Porte d'Aubervilliers. It is on the RER network, and also has a tram stop. The station opened on 13 December 2015, and bears the name of American civil rights activist Rosa Parks.
