Harold Wood railway station

Harold Wood is a suburban neighbourhood in East London in the London Borough of Havering. It is situated 16.5 miles (26.6 km) east-northeast of Charing Cross. Harold Wood was part of the ancient parish of Hornchurch, which became the Liberty of Havering. Most of the current area of Harold Wood became part of Hornchurch Urban District in 1926. It is near to the Greater London boundary with Essex.

Redden Court School is a secondary school with academy status located in Harold Wood, Romford, Havering, England. The school serves 866 students age 11 to 16. In 2003, the Queen visited the local area of Romford and made a special stop at the school. A student from Redden Court School had written to the Queen asking her to visit. In 2012, the percentage of pupils achieving 5 A*-C GCSEs (or equivalents) including English and maths GCSEs was 53%.

Harold Wood Hospital was a hospital in east London, United Kingdom. It was located in Gubbins Lane, Harold Wood in Romford, in the London Borough of Havering. It was managed by Barking, Havering and Redbridge Hospitals NHS Trust. The Havering Campus of London South Bank University, an NHS polyclinic and a long term conditions unit continue to operate at the hospital site, and a residential development by Countryside Properties known as Kings Park is in development.

Pages Wood is a 74 hectare wood and public park in Harold Wood in the London Borough of Havering. It is the largest Forestry England site in the Thames Chase Community Forest, and 100,000 trees have been planted since it opened in 2002. It also has meadow areas, 6.5 kilometres of footpaths and 2.2 kilometres of bridlepaths.Its north west boundary is separated from Harold Wood Park by the River Ingrebourne, and the river runs through the south west corner. The London Loop goes through the park. There is access from Hall Lane, where there is a car park, and by a bridge over the river from Harold Wood Park.

Havering College of Further and Higher Education is a college founded in 1947 in the London Borough of Havering that provides part-time and full-time education to students aged 14+.

Gallows Corner is a major road junction in Romford in Greater London, England. It was the site of the gallows of the Liberty of Havering, hence the name.

Harold Hill is a suburban area in the London Borough of Havering, East London. 16.6 miles (26.7 km) northeast of Charing Cross. It is a district centre in the London Plan. The name refers to King Harold II, who held the manor of Havering-atte-Bower, and who was killed at the Battle of Hastings in 1066. The suburb is peripheral to London, forming an eastern edge of the urban sprawl. The extensive London County Council housing development of Harold Hill was conceived in the Greater London Plan of 1944 in order to alleviate housing shortages in Inner London. Before construction of the estate, which was completed in 1958, it was the location of Dagnam Park house and grounds, and in the Municipal Borough of Romford and the county of Essex, but was transferred to Greater London in 1965. The first Greater London Council tenant to buy their council house did so here in 1967. The area is part of a long-term regeneration project led by Havering London Borough Council.

King's Wood School was a secondary school in Harold Hill near Romford, London Borough of Havering, England. It was a mixed school of non-denominational religion. The School's last Headteacher was Mrs Marian Spinks, who had been the Headteacher since January 2008, returning from a secondment as Senior Inspector (Performance) with Havering Inspection and Advisory Service.

Drapers' Academy is a secondary school for girls and boys, from years 7 to 13 sixth form with academy status, located in Harold Hill near Romford, Greater London, England. It was the first academy to be established in the London Borough of Havering.

Predominantly affluent and residential, it is located approximately 15 miles (24.1 km) north-east of Charing Cross. It is part of the Hornchurch post town and forms part of the Hornchurch and Upminster Parliamentary constituency.
