Koganei Station

Shimotsuke (下野市, Shimotsuke-shi) is a city located in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 August 2020, the city had an estimated population of 60,274 in 24,654 households, and a population density of 810 persons per km². The total area of the city is 74.59 square kilometres (28.80 sq mi).

Jichi Medical University Station (自治医大駅, Jichi-idai eki) is a railway station in the city of Shimotsuke, Tochigi, Japan, operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East). It is named for Jichi Medical University.

Jichi Medical University (自治医科大学, Jichi ika daigaku) is a private university in Shimotsuke, Tochigi, Japan, established in 1972. In 2008 the Gates Foundation awarded $100,000 to Hiroyuki Matsuoka, a medical researcher at the university, to do research on flying syringes.

Minamikawachi (南河内町, Minamikawachi-machi) was a town located in Kawachi District, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 21,178 and a density of 675.53 persons per km2. The total area was 31.35 km2. On January 10, 2006, Minamikawachi, along with the towns of Ishibashi and Kokubunji (both from Shimotsuga District), was merged to create the new city of Shimotsuke.

On January 10, 2006, Ishibashi, along with the town of Minamikawachi (from Kawachi District), and the town of Kokubunji (also from Shimotsuga District), was merged to create the new city of Shimotsuke.

The total area of the city is 171.76 square kilometres (66.32 sq mi). In 2006, Oyama became the second most populous city in Tochigi Prefecture, with the capital Utsunomiya retaining the number one spot.
