The Bizkaia Delegation Palace is an eclectic mansion in the Ensanche area of Bilbao, Spain. It's the seat of the executive branch of Government of Biscay, the legislative assembly meets in Gernika. The Biscay Palace of the Foral Deputation (also known as simply The Foral Palace), located at 25 Gran Vía, Bilbao, is a free-standing rectangular building, of solid and majestic appearance. Designed by the architect Luis Aladrén Mendivil, it is considered “a pinnacle work of Alfonsine eclecticism” in Vizcaya. It was built between 1890 and 1900 by the Gran Vía de Don Diego López de Haro avenue. It bears resemblance to projected buildings at the end of the 19th century in its eclectic style, which is made self-evident in the use of elements of diverse historical styles and in, moreover, a great preoccupation with the composition of the facades in an ornamental way. The building consists of a basement, mezzanine, two floors, an attic, and a rooftop terrace. The main façade on Gran Vía street stands out when one observes the advanced body from the line of the façade, which includes a covered entrance over which there are a balcony and a coat of arms. Inside, the main staircase distributes and organizes the annexes. The ornamental riches grow as much on the exterior as the interior, for example, chair cushions knit with diamonds, where there are numerous works of art surrounded by lush furniture and pictorial ornamentation on the walls and ceilings. It bears mentioning the so-called 'Throne Room', which houses two painted murals by José Echenaguisa Errazquin (1844-1912), a painter of international success born in Fuenterrabía, a border town in Gipuzkoa province in the Basque Country. These murals, “Juramento de los Fueros” (Swearing of the Foros) and “Pacificacion de oñacinos y gamboinos” (Peacemaking between the Oñazes and the Gamboinos), are often reproduced in textbooks and history books that discuss the Basque Country. There are diverse pieces of art conserved in the Palace, like a pair of jars gifted by Eugenia de Montijo, wife of Napoleon III of France. Across the street on its back, there is the Library of Biscay.

Abando is a station on lines 1 and 2 of the Bilbao metro. The station is located in the neighborhood of Abando, in the district with the same name. The station is located close to Bilbao-Abando railway station, to which it is directly connected. It opened on 11 November 1995. It is one of the busiest stations in the network.

Moyua is a station on lines 1 and 2 of the Bilbao metro. The station is located in the neighborhood of Abando, in the district with the same name. The station is located under the Moyua Plaza, named after Federico Moyúa, mayor of Bilbao during the early 20th century. It opened on 11 November 1995.It is the second most used station of the network after Abando, and is the closest station in distance to the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao.

The Abando Indalecio Prieto railway station (Basque: Abandoko Indalecio Prieto geltokia, Spanish: Estación de Abando Indalecio Prieto), usually known simply as Bilbao-Abando and previously known as Estación del Norte (North Station) is a terminal railway station in Bilbao, Basque Country (Spain). The name comes from Abando, the district in which the station is located, and Indalecio Prieto, who was Minister of Public Works during the Second Spanish Republic. The station serves as the terminus station for several long and medium distance services operated by Renfe as well as commuter rail services within the Bilbao metropolitan area operated by Cercanías. The station has direct access to Metro Bilbao and to the tram, as well as many local and regional bus lines. The railway station Bilbao-Concordia, operated by Renfe Feve is located in close proximity. After the construction of the high-speed line Basque Y is finished, Bilbao-Abando will serve as the western terminus, which will involve the creation of a completely new station replacing the current one.

San Francisco is a neighbourhood of Bilbao, in the Basque Country, and also one of the most run down areas. In the last decades, it has absorbed much of the immigration received by the city and has been integrated into the Ibaiondo district. It is crossed by the San Francisco street, among other less important ones, and borders the following other neighbourhoods: Casco Viejo, Bilbao La Vieja, Zabala, Miribilla, Irala and Abando. The railway line and station separate San Francisco and Zabala from Abando, which is the centre of the city, and Irala, while the neighbourhood is separated from Casco Viejo by the estuary. Two bridges cross the estuary San Francisco and Casco Viejo: La Merced bridge, in one direction only for vehicles, and El Perro Chico pedestrian bridge. The former church of La Merced has been converted into a public concert space known as Bilborrock. The neighbourhood also holds a museum of artistic reproductions.

Abando, formerly known as San Vicente de Abando, is one of the eight districts of Bilbao, Basque Country (Spain). It covers most of the city's centre, located on the left bank of the estuary of Bilbao. It is the only district of Bilbao with all of its land completely urbanised. Abando was originally an elizate and also a municipality until 1876, when part of it was annexed to Bilbao, the rest of the elizate's municipal land was integrated into Bilbao in 1890. In 2016 the population was 50,903. Abando is the wealthiest district in Bilbao, with personal and family incomes being well above the citywide average.

The Bilbao-Concordia railway station, also known as La Concordia Station, and formerly and colloqually known as Santander Station, is a terminal railway station in Bilbao, Basque Country (Spain). The station was opened in 1902 and currently serves as the terminus station for several narrow-gauge regional and metropolitan railway services operated by Renfe Feve, a division of the state-owned Spanish railway company Renfe. The Bilbao-Abando railway station, also operated by Renfe and that offers medium and long distance services is located in close proximity. It is a singular building of modernist style, considered an outstanding example of Belle Époque architecture in Bilbao.

Moyúa, or Elliptic Square, is a public square located in the center of Bilbao's extension, in the district of Abando. The square was conceived in 1876 as a central hub in the middle of Gran Vía de Don Diego López de Haro avenue, from where the main eight streets depart in radius-like shape and was merely called Elliptic Square because of its form. The square was refurbished in the 1940s to adopt its current form, with a central fountain and several gardens in French and English styles, and was renamed to honour a former mayor of the city, Federico Moyúa. The square as is today was totally rebuilt in 1997 after six years of works to build the Bilbao Metro. Moyua metro station (spelt without accent) is the closest to the famous Guggenheim Museum. Trains on both lines 1 and 2 call at the station, sharing the same tracks and platforms. It is also the terminus for Bilbobus routes 1 and 76.

Sabin Etxea (English: Sabin's House, named after Sabino Arana) is the official headquarters of the Basque Nationalist Party, located in Abando, Bilbao.

The Chavarri Palace (Spanish: Palacio Chávarri) is a building in the Flemish style in the city of Bilbao, the most outstanding around the Moyúa Square. It was built in the early 20th century and its style resembles the palaces built during the Renaissance in Antwerp or Bruges.One of the most interesting features of the buildings is that none of the sets of windows is the same as any other.The palace accommodates the representation of the Government of Spain in the province of Biscay.

The Deportivo fronton is a Basque pelota fronton, used mainly in the modalities of hand-pelota, short bat, long bat, pala and paleta. It is located in Bilbao and owned by the local municipality. The 52-meter-long facility closed to the public in 2011 (it is still used by the sports club based there, with reduced playing dimensions), with events in the city moving to the Bizkaia fronton in the Miribilla district.The fronton was home to the 1944 and 1957 1st Hand-Pelota singles championship, and the 1958, 1959, 1960 and 1994 2nd Hand-Pelota singles championship.

The Arriaga antzokia in Basque or Teatro Arriaga in Spanish is an opera house in Bilbao, Spain. It was built in Neo-baroque style by architect Joaquín Rucoba in 1890, the same architect that built the city hall. It is named after Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga, known in his time as the "Spanish Mozart". The theatre was rebuilt in 1985 after severe flooding in August 1983 destroyed it .
