Aira Force is a waterfall in the English Lake District, in the civil parish of Matterdale and the county of Cumbria. The site of the waterfall is owned by the National Trust.

Gowbarrow Fell (Windy hill) is a low fell in the English Lake District. It is an outlier of the Eastern Fells, standing to the north of Ullswater, bounded on one side by Aira Beck with its waterfall Aira Force. The waterfall is a popular attraction for visitors to the area. In previous centuries the fell was part of a medieval hunting-park, Gowbarrow Park, which belonged to the lords of Greystoke. The fell, along with 750 acres of the park, were bought by the National Trust in 1906.

Ulcat Row (also Ulcatrow) is a village in the civil parish of Matterdale, in the Westmorland and Furness district, in the county of Cumbria, England. In the 2011 census, the parish had 483 residents, roughly an 8% decrease from 526 residents in 2001. Ulcat Row is located approximately eight miles south west of Penrith. The name originally meant "Owl Cottage Corner".

Gowbarrow Park is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) in Lake District National Park in Cumbria, England. It is located on the lower slopes of Gowbarrow Fell and borders Ullswater lake. It is 2 km from the hamlet of Dockray. This protected area has an outstanding diversity of lichen species. Red squirrels have been recorded in this protected area.

Great Mell Fell (Bare hill, with the later additions of both "Fell" and "Great") is an isolated hill or fell in the English Lake District, north of Ullswater and adjacent to the Eastern Fells. It rises from a level plain to a height of 537 m. Its top is a viewpoint for many of the surrounding higher fells. The fell is now owned and managed by the National Trust and offers a place of quiet refuge. The fell was once well wooded, and retains a good covering of trees on the lower slopes, as well as scattered larches and pines higher up. Its rock is unusual for the Lake District, a reddish conglomerate of Devonian age, which has been eroded to form a rounded hill with smooth outlines and no rocky crags.

Birk Fell is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) in Lake District National Park in Cumbria, England. It is located 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) north of Patterdale, covering 2.66 square kilometres (1.03 sq mi) on the eastern side of Ullswater. Birk Fell SSSI includes the shoreline with Ullswater at Silver Point and Silver Bay as well as the summit of Bleaberry Knott. The eastern boundary of this protected area follows the stream called Scalehow Beck. This area is protected because of the population of juniper trees that occur here. There are scree slopes in this protected area. This protected area also includes Dalemain Estates woodland. The boundaries of Birk Fell SSSI are contiguous with the boundaries of River Eden and Tributaries SSSI, and so is part of a wider area of nature protection.

Troutbeck is a hamlet within Cumbria, England, a few miles to the west of Penrith. It was previously in the county of Cumberland. It lies within the Lake District, the civil parish of Hutton, and the unitary authority of Westmorland and Furness. Great Mell Fell is situated immediately to the east of Troutbeck. It is open-access land which belongs to the National Trust. There are five Roman temporary or marching camps just to the north of Troutbeck, adjoining the A66 Roman road. The place-name 'Troutbeck' is first attested in the Subsidy Rolls of 1332, where it appears as Troutbek. The name means 'trout stream'. The stream the Trout Beck heads towards it and then veers west where it joins the River Glenderamackin less than half a mile to the west of Hutton Moor End.

Glenridding House is a Regency era building in Glenridding on Ullswater, constructed between 1807 and 1814. It was a private summer villa until about 1860 and then became a guest house. It has recently been fully restored and is now a country house bed and breakfast and wedding venue. The building is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

Glenridding Dodd (the rounded hill above Glenridding) is a small fell in the English Lake District, at the end of a ridge descending from the Helvellyn range in the Eastern Fells. It stands above the village of Glenridding and on the western shore of Ullswater. Although small and not of great elevation, its top is a fine viewpoint for Ullswater and for the fells clustered round the valleys above Patterdale.

Glenridding is a village at the southern end of Ullswater, in the English Lake District. The village is popular with mountain walkers who can scale England's third-highest mountain, Helvellyn, and many other challenging peaks from there.

Sheffield Pike (possibly meaning "the peak above the sheep fold") is a fell in the English Lake District, a prominent intermediate top on one of the eastern ridges of Stybarrow Dodd. It separates and stands high above the Glencoyne and Glenridding valleys, on the eastern side of the Helvellyn range in the Eastern Fells and it looks down onto Ullswater.

Troutbeck railway station was situated on the Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith Railway between Penrith and Cockermouth in Cumberland (now in Cumbria), England. The station served the hamlet of Troutbeck. It opened to passenger traffic on 2 January 1865, and closed on 6 March 1972.
