East 122nd Avenue station is a MAX light rail station in Portland, Oregon. It serves the Blue Line and is currently the 16th stop eastbound on the Eastside MAX branch. The MAX system is owned and operated by TriMet, the major transit agency for the Portland metropolitan area. The station is located at the intersection of East Burnside Street and NE/SE 122nd Avenue in Portland's Hazelwood neighborhood. This station has staggered side platforms which are located past the cross street in each direction so that trains can pass through the intersection before stopping. The station was renovated from December 2017 to June 2018, with temporary platforms placed opposite the usual platforms.

The organization was first created in 1961 in cooperation with the Boy Scouts of America, and is one of the longest continually used Explorer Search and Rescue units in the United States. In 1986, sponsorship of the MCSO SAR was transferred to the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office. MCSO SAR is part of the Mount Hood Search and Rescue Council. MCSO receives funding from the Department of Homeland Security within the Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) to create a regional resource.

David Douglas School District No. 40 is a school district in eastern Portland, Oregon, United States. Its administrative offices are at 11300 NE Halsey St. Portland, OR 97220.The district was formed in 1959 as a consolidation of the Gilbert, Powellhurst, and Russellville elementary school districts and the David Douglas Union High School District. As of 2012, it operates nine elementary schools, three middle schools and one high school with an alternative school campus. It serves more than 10,330 students from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Mill Park is a neighborhood in the outer Southeast section of Portland, Oregon, United States. It borders Hazelwood on the west, north and east, and Powellhurst-Gilbert on the south. Since 1996, the Mill Park neighborhood has been home to US Senator Jeff Merkley.
