Uchiage Dam

Genkai (玄海町, Genkai-chō) is a town located in Higashimatsuura District, Saga Prefecture, Japan. As of 31 May 2024, the town had an estimated population of 4,910 in 1918 households, and a population density of 240 persons per km2. The total area of the city is 35.92 km2 (13.87 sq mi).

Higashimatsuura (東松浦郡, Higashimatsuura-gun) is a district located in Saga Prefecture, Japan. At the present it has only one town. As of April 1, 2021, the district has an estimated population of 5,211 and a density of 145 persons per square kilometre. The total area is 35.92 square kilometres (13.87 square miles).

Fujinohira Dam is a rockfill dam located in Saga Prefecture in Japan. The dam is used for agriculture. The catchment area of the dam is 15.6 km2. The dam impounds about 21 ha of land when full and can store 3575 thousand cubic meters of water. The construction of the dam was started on 1990 and completed in 2002.

Ushirogawachi Dam is a rockfill dam located in Saga Prefecture in Japan. The dam is used for irrigation. The catchment area of the dam is 0.5 km2. The dam impounds about 22 ha of land when full and can store 3754 thousand cubic meters of water. The construction of the dam was started on 1972 and completed in 1992.

The Genkai Nuclear Power Plant (玄海原子力発電所, Genkai genshiryoku hatsudensho, Genkai NPP) is located in the town of Genkai in the Higashimatsuura District in the Saga Prefecture in Japan. It is owned and operated by the Kyūshū Electric Power Company. The reactors were all built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and are of the 2 and 4-loop M type pressurized water reactor. Unit 3 has been selected as a special Plutonium fuel test case. The plant is on a site with a total of 0.87 square kilometers. Saga does not lie on a fault line and receives the fewest earthquakes in Japan.

Nishi-Karatsu Station (西唐津駅, Nishi-Karatsu-eki) is a junction passenger railway station located in the city of Karatsu, Saga Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by Kyushu Railway Company (JR Kyushu). This station is the terminus of the Karatsu Line, and is located 43.5 kilometers from the opposing terminus of the line at Kubota. It is also used by trains from the Chikuhi Line, which continue from the nominal terminus of the line at Karatsu using the tracks of the Karatsu Line for an additional 2.2 kilometers to terminate here.

Nabatake Site (菜畑遺跡, Nabatake iseki) is an archeological site with a late Jōmon period to late Yayoi period settlement located in the city of Karatsu, Saga Prefecture, Japan. Along with the Itazuke Site in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka, it is the oldest known rice-growing village site in Japan. It was designated as a National Historic Site in 1983.

Hirakoba Dam is a concrete gravity dam located in Saga Prefecture in Japan. The dam is used for flood water control and water supply. The catchment area of the dam is 2.2 km2. The dam impounds about 10 ha of land when full and can store 1080 thousand cubic meters of water. The construction of the dam was started on 1972 and completed in 1983.

Karatsu (唐津市, Karatsu-shi) is a city located in Saga Prefecture on the island of Kyushu, Japan. Its name, formed from the Japanese word roots 唐 kara (China, or continental East Asia in general), and 津 tsu (port), signifies its historical importance as an ancient trading port between Japan with China and Korea. As of 1 June 2024, the city had an estimated population of 114,695 in 51375 households, and a population density of 200 persons per km2. The total area of the city is 487.60 km2 (188.26 sq mi). The same Chinese characters are used in the name of the city (唐津市) as for the city of Dangjin in South Chungcheong Province, South Korea.

Kawamura Art Museum (河村美術館, Kawamura Bijutsukan) is art museum in Karatsu, Saga Prefecture, Japan. The collection includes twenty works by Aoki Shigeru as well as paintings by Kuroda Seiki, Wada Eisaku, and Yamashita Shintarō. Temporary exhibitions are also mounted. In 2014 the museum became a Public Interest Incorporated Foundation.

Karatsu Station (唐津駅, Karatsu-eki) is a junction passenger railway station located in the city of Karatsu, Saga Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by JR Kyushu. It is the main station of Karatsu City.

Karatsu Castle (唐津城, Karatsu-jō) is a Japanese castle located in Karatsu, Saga Prefecture, Japan. It is a hirayamajiro, a castle built on a plain rather than a hill or mountain. At the end of the Edo period, Karatsu castle was home to the Ogasawara clan, daimyō of Karatsu Domain. It was also known as "Dancing Crane Castle" (舞鶴城, Maizuru-jō).
