Karatsu (唐津市, Karatsu-shi) is a city located in Saga Prefecture on the island of Kyushu, Japan. Its name, formed from the Japanese word roots 唐 kara (China, or continental East Asia in general), and 津 tsu (port), signifies its historical importance as an ancient trading port between Japan with China and Korea. As of 1 June 2024, the city had an estimated population of 114,695 in 51375 households, and a population density of 200 persons per km2. The total area of the city is 487.60 km2 (188.26 sq mi). The same Chinese characters are used in the name of the city (唐津市) as for the city of Dangjin in South Chungcheong Province, South Korea.

Karatsu Castle (唐津城, Karatsu-jō) is a Japanese castle located in Karatsu, Saga Prefecture, Japan. It is a hirayamajiro, a castle built on a plain rather than a hill or mountain. At the end of the Edo period, Karatsu castle was home to the Ogasawara clan, daimyō of Karatsu Domain. It was also known as "Dancing Crane Castle" (舞鶴城, Maizuru-jō).

Karatsu Station (唐津駅, Karatsu-eki) is a junction passenger railway station located in the city of Karatsu, Saga Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by JR Kyushu. It is the main station of Karatsu City.

Nabatake Site (菜畑遺跡, Nabatake iseki) is an archeological site with a late Jōmon period to late Yayoi period settlement located in the city of Karatsu, Saga Prefecture, Japan. Along with the Itazuke Site in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka, it is the oldest known rice-growing village site in Japan. It was designated as a National Historic Site in 1983.

Nishi-Karatsu Station (西唐津駅, Nishi-Karatsu-eki) is a junction passenger railway station located in the city of Karatsu, Saga Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by Kyushu Railway Company (JR Kyushu). This station is the terminus of the Karatsu Line, and is located 43.5 kilometers from the opposing terminus of the line at Kubota. It is also used by trains from the Chikuhi Line, which continue from the nominal terminus of the line at Karatsu using the tracks of the Karatsu Line for an additional 2.2 kilometers to terminate here.

Higashi-Karatsu Station (東唐津駅, Higashi-Karatsu-eki) is a passenger railway station located in the city of Karatsu, Saga Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by JR Kyushu and is on the Chikuhi Line.

Hirakoba Dam is a concrete gravity dam located in Saga Prefecture in Japan. The dam is used for flood water control and water supply. The catchment area of the dam is 2.2 km2. The dam impounds about 10 ha of land when full and can store 1080 thousand cubic meters of water. The construction of the dam was started on 1972 and completed in 1983.

Onizuka Station (鬼塚駅, Onizuka-eki) is a passenger railway station operated by JR Kyushu located in the city of Karatsu, Saga Prefecture, Japan.

Kagami-jinja (鏡神社) is a Shinto shrine located in Karatsu, Saga prefecture, Japan. The shrine is at the base of Mount Kagami (280 metres (920 ft)) in Genkai Quasi-National Park. It is now called Matsura Sōchinshu Kagami-jinja (松浦総鎮守鏡神社), and formerly known as the name of Kagami no mikoto Byōgū (鏡尊廟宮), Kagami-gū (鏡宮), Matsuura-gū (松浦宮), Itabitsu-sha (板櫃社) and Kuri Daimyōjin (久里大明神). Kagami-jinja was the head shrine of Matsura County in the former Hizen Province and is classified historically as a "Sosha". The shrine has a small museum preserving remaining artifacts, including an image of Yōryū Kannon from Goryeo Dynasty of Korea in 1310, now kept at the Saga Prefectural Museum, is the Cultural Properties of Japan.

Nijinomatsubara Station (虹ノ松原駅, Nijinomatsubara-eki) is a passenger railway station located in the city of Karatsu, Saga Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by JR Kyushu and is on the Chikuhi Line. The station is set within the Nijinomatsubara pine forest, which gives it its name.
