Cheyne Row is a residential street in Chelsea, London. It runs roughly north to south from the crossroads with Upper Cheyne Row, where it becomes Glebe Place, leading down to a t-junction with Cheyne Walk which forms an embankment of the River Thames. It was named after Charles Cheyne, 1st Viscount Newhaven (c. 1624–1698) who purchased the manor of Chelsea in Middlesex, then a rural village.

Carlyle Mansions is a block of flats located on Cheyne Walk, in the Chelsea area of London, England. Built in 1886, it was named after Thomas Carlyle, himself a resident of Chelsea for much of his life.Carlyle Mansions is nicknamed the "Writers’ Block", as it has been home to Henry James, Erskine Childers, T. S. Eliot, Somerset Maugham, Ian Fleming and other noted authors.

Carlyle's House, in Cheyne Row, Chelsea, central London, was the home of the Scottish essayist, historian and philosopher Thomas Carlyle and his wife Jane from 1834 until his death. The home of these writers was purchased by public subscription and placed in the care of the Carlyle's House Memorial Trust in 1895. They opened the house to the public and maintained it until 1936, when control of the property was assumed by the National Trust, inspired by co-founder Octavia Hill's earlier pledge of support for the house. It became a Grade II listed building in 1954 and is open to the public as a historic house museum.

Atalanta is a statue by the English sculptor Francis Derwent Wood. It shows a naked woman standing in a contrapposto position, glancing to her left, with her left hand by her side and right hand raised to her shoulder. The subject is Atalanta, a virgin huntress from Greek mythology; she may be preparing for the foot race she used as an obstacle to prevent suitors securing a marriage. There are three main versions: a plaster version exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1907; a marble version 175 centimetres (69 in) high exhibited at the academy in 1909 and presented to Manchester Art Gallery by the National Art Collections Fund in 1919; and a bronze casting which was erected by friends of the sculptor from Chelsea Arts Club at Chelsea Embankment Gardens, to the west side of Albert Bridge, in 1929, three years after Wood's death. The bronze statue in London received a Grade II listing in 1969. The original casting was stolen in 1991 and replaced by a replica. Nearby are David Wynne's Boy with a Dolphin and Edward Bainbridge Copnall 1971 statue of David, a copy of the sculpture by Wood atop the Machine Gun Corps Memorial.

The Church of Our Most Holy Redeemer and St Thomas More, also referred to as Holy Redeemer Church, is a Roman Catholic Parish church in Chelsea, London. it was built in the 19th century and opened on 23 October 1895. It was designed by Edward Goldie. It is situated on the corner of Upper Cheyne Row and Cheyne Row, next to Carlyle's House in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It is listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England.

Chelsea Old Church, also known as All Saints, is an Anglican church, on Old Church Street, Chelsea, London SW3, England, near Albert Bridge. It is the church for a parish in the Diocese of London, part of the Church of England. Inside the Grade I listed building, there is seating for 400 people. There is a memorial plaque to the author Henry James (1843–1916) who lived nearby on Cheyne Walk, and was buried in Cambridge, Massachusetts. To the west of the church is a small public garden containing a sculpture by Sir Jacob Epstein.

Oakley Street is in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, London. It runs roughly north to south from King's Road to the crossroads with Cheyne Walk and the River Thames, where it continues as the Albert Bridge and Albert Bridge Road. The street was named after Baron Cadogan of Oakley.

Winchester House, demolished, housed the Bishops of Winchester from 1664 to the early 19th century when in London. Their diocese for this purpose had bought the 17th-century part of Chelsea Place from Charles Cheyne in 1664. It replaced in function the shell remnants of Winchester Palace on the South Bank, Southwark left by the Wars of the Three Kingdoms (English Civil War). In 1821, after the house fell into disrepair, the bishop gained an Act that allowed the sale of the house and its ground of 2.5 acres to the trustees of the Cadogan Estate. In 1825, the trustees obtained a further Act to demolish the property and build new houses on the site. Demolition was complete by 1836, but the site was still vacant in 1847. By 1850, there were ten houses at the northern end, and four at the southern by 1851. The area is now known as Oakley Street.

The Cross Keys is a public house at 1 Lawrence Street, Chelsea, London SW3 5NB. Built in 1708, it is the oldest pub in Chelsea. Regular visitors have included the artists Turner, Whistler and Sargent, writers Agatha Christie and Dylan Thomas, and musicians Bob Marley and the Rolling Stones.In 2012, the property developer Andrew Bourne, the owner of the Cross Keys, closed its doors and boarded up the windows, having claimed that the pub loses money, and applied for planning permission to turn it into a mansion with a swimming pool in the basement. If he had been successful, the property could have been worth more than £10 million. In 2013, following a successful campaign by local people, it was sold on behalf of a private owner to Parsons Green Land for £3.9m, and later reopened as a pub.

Cadogan Pier is a pier on the River Thames in London, UK. It is located on the North Bank of the river, immediately next to the Albert Bridge on Cheyne Walk near Chelsea Embankment. It has been Chelsea's only river transport link for over 150 years.

50 Glebe Place is a large terraced house on Glebe Place in the Chelsea district of London SW3. It was built between 1985 and 1987 for the advertiser Frank Lowe. Ed Glinert, in The London Compendium, described it as a folly.
