The King's Head and Eight Bells is a Grade II listed former public house at 50 Cheyne Walk, Chelsea, London SW3, United Kingdom.It was built in the early 19th century.It is now a restaurant, the Cheyne Walk Brasserie.The eight bells was Dylan Thomas's favourite pub in the early 1940's during the second world war. Cheyne Row is a residential street in Chelsea, London. It runs roughly north to south from the crossroads with Upper Cheyne Row, where it becomes Glebe Place, leading down to a t-junction with Cheyne Walk which forms an embankment of the River Thames. It was named after Charles Cheyne, 1st Viscount Newhaven (c. 1624–1698) who purchased the manor of Chelsea in Middlesex, then a rural village.

A statue of Thomas Carlyle by Joseph Edgar Boehm stands in Chelsea Embankment Gardens in London. Erected in 1881 and unveiled in 1882, it stands close to 24 Cheyne Row where Carlyle lived for the last 47 years of his life. The statue became a Grade II listed building on 15 April 1969.

Carlyle's House, in Cheyne Row, Chelsea, central London, was the home of the Scottish essayist, historian and philosopher Thomas Carlyle and his wife Jane from 1834 until his death. The home of these writers was purchased by public subscription and placed in the care of the Carlyle's House Memorial Trust in 1895. They opened the house to the public and maintained it until 1936, when control of the property was assumed by the National Trust, inspired by co-founder Octavia Hill's earlier pledge of support for the house. It became a Grade II listed building in 1954 and is open to the public as a historic house museum.

Chelsea Old Church, also known as All Saints, is an Anglican church, on Old Church Street, Chelsea, London SW3, England, near Albert Bridge. It is the church for a parish in the Diocese of London, part of the Church of England. Inside the Grade I listed building, there is seating for 400 people. There is a memorial plaque to the author Henry James (1843–1916) who lived nearby on Cheyne Walk, and was buried in Cambridge, Massachusetts. To the west of the church is a small public garden containing a sculpture by Sir Jacob Epstein.

The Church of Our Most Holy Redeemer and St Thomas More, also referred to as Holy Redeemer Church, is a Roman Catholic Parish church in Chelsea, London. it was built in the 19th century and opened on 23 October 1895. It was designed by Edward Goldie. It is situated on the corner of Upper Cheyne Row and Cheyne Row, next to Carlyle's House in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It is listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England.

The Cross Keys is a public house at 1 Lawrence Street, Chelsea, London SW3 5NB. Built in 1708, it is the oldest pub in Chelsea. Regular visitors have included the artists Turner, Whistler and Sargent, writers Agatha Christie and Dylan Thomas, and musicians Bob Marley and the Rolling Stones.In 2012, the property developer Andrew Bourne, the owner of the Cross Keys, closed its doors and boarded up the windows, having claimed that the pub loses money, and applied for planning permission to turn it into a mansion with a swimming pool in the basement. If he had been successful, the property could have been worth more than £10 million. In 2013, following a successful campaign by local people, it was sold on behalf of a private owner to Parsons Green Land for £3.9m, and later reopened as a pub.

Bramerton Street is a street in Chelsea, London. It runs roughly north to south from King's Road to Glebe Place. It was known as Caledonian Terrace until 1912. The Gateways Club, a lesbian nightclub was based on the corner with King's Road, but with its entrance in Bramerton Street from 1931 to 1985, and was the longest-surviving such club in the world. The socialist politician and writer Margaret Cole and her husband G. D. H. Cole, and the writer Ford Madox Ford was a visitor in 1920.The film composer James Bernard lived in the street.The grade II* listed West House is on the west side at the southern end of the street.

50 Glebe Place is a large terraced house on Glebe Place in the Chelsea district of London SW3. It was built between 1985 and 1987 for the advertiser Frank Lowe. Ed Glinert, in The London Compendium, described it as a folly.

Atalanta is a statue by the English sculptor Francis Derwent Wood. It shows a naked woman standing in a contrapposto position, glancing to her left, with her left hand by her side and right hand raised to her shoulder. The subject is Atalanta, a virgin huntress from Greek mythology; she may be preparing for the foot race she used as an obstacle to prevent suitors securing a marriage. There are three main versions: a plaster version exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1907; a marble version 175 centimetres (69 in) high exhibited at the academy in 1909 and presented to Manchester Art Gallery by the National Art Collections Fund in 1919; and a bronze casting which was erected by friends of the sculptor from Chelsea Arts Club at Chelsea Embankment Gardens, to the west side of Albert Bridge, in 1929, three years after Wood's death. The bronze statue in London received a Grade II listing in 1969. The original casting was stolen in 1991 and replaced by a replica. Nearby are David Wynne's Boy with a Dolphin and Edward Bainbridge Copnall 1971 statue of David, a copy of the sculpture by Wood atop the Machine Gun Corps Memorial.

West House is a Grade II* listed Queen Anne revival house at 35 Glebe Place, Chelsea, London. It was built in 1868–69 by the architect Philip Webb, on behalf of the artist George Price Boyce. It was extended in 1876 by Webb, and in 1901 by an unknown architect. Historic England have described West House as "one of the earliest examples of the Queen Anne Revival style". West House possesses one of the few triple-height ceilings in London.

It also has a junction with Bramerton Street. The street was known as Cook's Ground for some period up to the mid-nineteenth century.
