The Russian Embassy School in New Delhi (Russian: Средняя общеобразовательная школа при Посольстве России в Индии) is a Russian international school located in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. It is run by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was previously under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Soviet Union. It was upgraded from a primary school to an eight-year school under Order No. 957 from the Soviet Ministry of Foreign Relations in 1974. This was effective on 11 September that year. The same ministry upgraded it to a secondary school under Order No. 4063 18 July 1991. It was further upgraded to a high school with an in-depth study of a foreign language from Order No. 1053 of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Delhi School of Music, established by the Delhi Music Society, teaches Western classical music. It is the only institution of its kind in northern India. The chancery is located at 5/50F Shantipath in Chanakyapuri of New Delhi. In addition to the embassy in New Delhi, Afghanistan also has a consulate general in Mumbai and Hyderabad.

Maitreyi College is a women's college in the South Campus of the University of Delhi, located in Bapu Dham, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi-110021, India. It was established in July 1967 and named after the Vedic sage Maitreyi. An all-women's college, it offers various courses in the fields of Science, Arts and Commerce. The college was recognised by DBT as a star college, conferring the star status to all four of its science departments namely Botany, Zoology, Chemistry and Mathematics. In 2022, it was ranked 34th among colleges in India by National Institutional Ranking Framework. Between 1972 and 1989, the mission was known as the Embassy of Pakistan in New Delhi, as Pakistan was then temporarily a republic outside the Commonwealth of Nations, an intergovernmental organization primarily comprising former territories of the British Empire (see British India).

Malcha Mahal, also known as Wilayat Mahal, is a Tughlak era hunting lodge in the Chanakyapuri area of New Delhi, India next to the Delhi Earth Station of the Indian Space Research Organisation. It was built by Firuz Shah Tughlaq, who reigned over the Sultanate of Delhi, in 1325. It came to be known as Wilayat Mahal after the self-proclaimed "Begum Wilayat Mahal" of Awadh, who claimed to be a member of the Royal family of Oudh who was reportedly given the place by the Government of India in May 1985. On 10 September 1993, Wilayat died by suicide at the age of 62. The descendants of Wazid Ali Shah in Lucknow claims that the family engaged in fraudulent activities, having been cited by an investigative journalist for the New York Times.The building is now mostly in ruins. After Wilayat's death, it continued to be inhabited by the Begum's daughter Sakina Mahal, and son Prince Ali Raza (aka Cyrus). Cyrus died in late 2017; his sister died some years before him, though the exact date is unknown.

The High Commission has regional offices, the Deputy High Commissions, at Kolkata, Chennai, and Mumbai. The Deputy High Commission at Bangalore falls under the Chennai division.
