Savannah's Candy Kitchen is a chain of candy manufacturers established in Savannah, Georgia. It was founded in 1973 by Stan and Pam Strickland. Today, it has eight stores around the United States, plus several franchises under the name River Street Sweets, but its flagship store is at 225 East River Street in Savannah. A second Savannah store was opened in the Abraham Minis Building in Franklin Square in City Market. It also has two stores at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta (Concourse B, opened in 2005; Concourse C, opened in 2012).The company is the largest producer of praline in the United States.

Boar's Head Grill & Tavern is a restaurant and bar in Savannah, Georgia, United States. Located on the Lincoln Street ramp, at River Street, the restaurant, established in 1959, occupies the first floor of the Lower Stoddard Range former King Cotton warehouse dating to 1858. It is the oldest restaurant on River Street.The restaurant's owner/chef is Philip Branan. He and his wife also owned Kevin Barry's Irish Pub, further west on River Street, until its closure in 2020.

George Anderson Stores is a historic building in Savannah, Georgia, United States. Located in Savannah's Historic District, the addresses of some of the properties are East Bay Street, above Factors Walk, while others solely utilize the former King Cotton warehouses on River Street. As of February 2022, these are The Peanut Shop of Savannah and Spanky's. The current building was constructed in 1835, but George W. Anderson, a cotton merchant, banker and planter, had a store in the previous incarnation, known as Richard Wayne's Wharf, too. The Andersons were one of Savannah's most prominent families, notably in the Civil War years.In October 1817, leading cabinetmaker Duncan Phyfe's first shipment to Savannah was recorded. He shipped six boxes to George Anderson and Son, who were active from 1817 to 1839.In April 1837, merchants Clark and Pelott were advertising from "Anderson's new Stores".The building stands adjacent to the Scott and Balfour Stores at 302–316 East Bay Street.

Lower Stoddard Range is a historic range of buildings in Savannah, Georgia, United States. Located in Savannah's Historic District, the addresses of some of the properties are East Bay Street, above Factors Walk, while others solely utilize the former King Cotton warehouses on River Street. As of February 2022, the businesses occupying the ground floor of the River Street elevation are: Boar's Head Grill & Tavern, Savannah's Candy Kitchen, Gallery 209 and Christmas on the River. The building stands adjacent to Archibald Smith Stores, the two separated only by steps leading to and from River Street and Factors Walk. The building was constructed by 1858 by John Stoddard (1809–1879), on foundations that were previously the three lower tiers of the early-19th-century Harden (western portion of the range) and Howard Stores (eastern portion). Harden's property was known colloquially as Coffee House Wharf.Factors Edgar L. Guerard and Edward L. Holcombe (1840–1875), formerly a major for the Confederates in the Civil War, were operating their general commission and shipping merchants enterprise from "5 Stoddard's Lower Range, Bay Street" in 1869. At number 7, meanwhile, Grantham Israel Taggart (1828–1905) was providing a similar service, under the name Taggart & Company, in addition to offering anthracite and bituminous coal.In 1898, during the Spanish–American War, the signal corps had their command headquarters in the range.The buildings that comprise Upper Stoddard Range are at 12–42 East Bay Street, to the west of the lower range.

The Paul Hamilton Wilkins House is a historic home in Savannah, Georgia, United States. It is located at 7 Habersham Street, at its intersection with East Bay Lane, and was built around 1792. One of the oldest extant buildings in Savannah, it is now part of the Savannah Historic District. In a survey for the Historic Savannah Foundation, Mary Lane Morrison found the building to be of significant status.It was built for Dr. Paul Hamilton Wilkins. Wilkins formerly lived in Liberty County, Georgia. His young son died, and with his wife in great distress he decided that the family should go back to visit Philadelphia. They sailed from Savannah on the SS Pulaski, which sank in a hurricane off Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, in June 1838. Most of the passengers drowned, including the Wilkins family of three.In the mid-19th century, the property was owned by Hugh Cullens. It is believed it was part of his Seaman's Boarding House at 3–5 Habersham Street.

Archibald Smith Stores is a historic building in Savannah, Georgia, United States. Located in Savannah's Historic District, the addresses of some of the properties are East Bay Street, above Factors Walk, while others solely utilize the former King Cotton warehouses on River Street (as of February 2022, these are the Cinnamon Bear Country Store and the Cotton Exchange Tavern). The building was constructed in 1810, making it the oldest intact structure on East River Street. Due to the building's height, it is at this point (if travelling from the east) that Factors Walk changes from being single-level to become two levels. The building stands adjacent to Lower Stoddard Range, the two separated only by steps leading to and from River Street and Factors Walk. In September 1804, the building was one of several damaged (albeit "very partially") in the Antigua–Charleston hurricane. Some stores were swept away.Archibald Smith was a member of Savannah's city council at the turn of the 18th century. He lived at 48 East Broad Street, a home built prior to 1830.

Emmet Park, also known as The Strand, is an urban park in Savannah, Georgia, United States. Its most prominent section is located in the northeastern corner of the city's historic downtown area, in what was known as the Old Fort neighborhood, it continues in a dotted fashion for around 0.6 miles (0.97 km) west along Bay Street to its intersection with Jefferson Street. Monuments occupy several of the individual sections.

The Battle of the Rice Boats, also called the Battle of Yamacraw Bluff, was a land and naval battle of the American Revolutionary War that took place in and around the Savannah River on the border between the Province of Georgia and the Province of South Carolina on March 2 and 3, 1776. The battle pitted the Patriot militia from Georgia and South Carolina against a small fleet of the Royal Navy. In December 1775, the British Army was besieged in Boston. In need of provisions, a Royal Navy fleet was sent to Georgia to purchase rice and other supplies. The arrival of this fleet prompted the colonial rebels who controlled the Georgia government to arrest the British Royal Governor, James Wright, and to resist the British seizure and removal of supply ships anchored at Savannah. Some of the supply ships were burned to prevent their seizure, some were recaptured, but most were successfully taken by the British. Governor Wright escaped from his confinement and safely reached one of the fleet's ships. His departure marked the end of British control over Georgia, although it was briefly restored when Savannah was retaken by the British in 1778. Wright again ruled from 1779 to 1782, when British troops were finally withdrawn during the closing days of the war.

Old Fort is a historic neighborhood of Savannah, Georgia. Named for Fort Wayne, which stood nearby, it is located in the northeastern corner of the Savannah Historic District, centered around Washington Square and also formerly incorporating the land to the Savannah River, below Bay Street. Today part of Hitch Village, in the early 19th century it was home to the working-class Irish and African American populations of the city.The neighborhood was substantially shrunk through development of the 1950s.St. James African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church, on East Broad Street, is part of the Old Fort district.

17 Lincoln Street (also 226 East Bryan Street) is a historic building in Savannah, Georgia, United States. Located in the northeastern residential block of Reynolds Square, it is one of the city's oldest continuously running bars, having been in operation as such since 1852. Today, it is home to Abe's on Lincoln, a dive bar named for Abraham Lincoln (whereas Lincoln Street, the street on which it stands, is named for Benjamin Lincoln, a Revolutionary War hero). In a survey for Historic Savannah Foundation, Mary Lane Morrison found the building to be of significant status.In 2019, a site plan submitted to the City of Savannah included moving the building (and two adjacent structures) two blocks to allow for the construction of a hotel.An entrance on the building's southern elevation is for 226 East Bryan Street.

Yamacraw Bluff is a bluff situated on the southern bank of the Savannah River. Now completely enclosed within downtown Savannah, Georgia, the bluff is most notable for being the site upon which General James Edward Oglethorpe arrived to settle the British colony of Georgia. The area was originally inhabited by the Yamacraw Indians. A stone marker and statue now adorn the bluff in honor of its historic significance.

The Spencer–Woodbridge House (also known as the George Basil Spencer House) is a home in Savannah, Georgia, United States. It is located in the northeastern civic block of Warren Square and was built in 1790, making it the oldest building on the square and one of the oldest in Savannah overall. It is part of the Savannah Historic District, and was built for George Basil Spencer, though he died in February 1791. It also became the homes of William H. Spencer (believed to have built the house) until 1817 and William Woodbridge, who bought it from Spencer. It remained in the Woodbridge family until 1911.The home is a four-storey wood-frame building with a brick addition at the rear. It has a single-storey porch along the rear of the house and a single-bay Doric entrance porch on Habersham Street.The building was saved by the revolving fund of the Historic Savannah Foundation. In a survey for the foundation, Mary Lane Morrison found the building to be of significant status. It was restored by Mills B. Lane IV in 1993.In 2021, the property was listed with Sotheby's International Realty for $2.8 million.
