The Saint Joseph's Church (Bosnian: Crkva svetog Josipa) is a Roman Catholic church in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was proclaimed a National Monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2008.The initial design of St. Joseph's church by Karel Pařík was based on the design for a neo-Romanesque church given to Archbishop Ivan Šarić by Pope Pius XI. Work began on the construction of church in 1936, and the building was consecrated on 31 March 1940. In plan the church is a triple-aisled basilica with transept. Below the sanctuary is a crypt containing the tomb of Archbishop Ivan Šarić. There are a further fifteen tombs in the south, west and east walls of the church. The church was painted by Josip Podolski in 1939, and the original stained glass windows were designed by Ivan Marinkocić. The stained glass at the west end and in the apse was destroyed by an explosion in 1945, but later restored. The high altar of St. Joseph and the terracotta Stations of the Cross were a gift from Pope Pius XII. The sculptor Franjo Rebhan carved the side altars and the tombs in the crypts. The church was damaged during the 1992–1995 war, after which it underwent structural repairs, with conservation and restoration work being carried out on the murals and stained glass.

The Historical Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Bosnian: Historijski muzej Bosne i Hercegovine) is a museum in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It holds more than 400,000 historical artifacts. The museum was founded on 13 November 1945 and took its present name in 1993, having at one point been called the Museum of the Revolution of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The House of Peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Serbo-Croatian: Dom naroda Bosne i Hercegovine/Дом народа Босне и Херцеговине) is one of the two chambers of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the other chamber being the House of Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was established through the signing of the Dayton Agreement in 1995. It has 15 members equally distributed among the three ethnic groups in Bosnia and Herzegovina: 5 Bosniaks, 5 Serbs, and 5 Croats. According to the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the members of the House of Peoples are appointed so that "designated Croat and Bosniak delegates from the Federation shall be selected, respectively, by the Croat and Bosniak delegates to the House of Peoples of the Federation. Delegates from Republika Srpska shall be selected by the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska."

The Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Serbo-Croatian: Parlamentarna skupština Bosne i Hercegovine / Парламентарна скупштина Босне и Херцеговине) is the bicameral legislative body of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It consists of the following two chambers. The House of Peoples (Dom naroda / Дом народа) has 15 members, appointed by the parliaments of the entities: 5 members elected by the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (5 Serb delegates), 5 members - by the Bosniak club of the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (5 Bosniak delegates) and 5 members - by the Croat club of the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (5 Croat delegates). The House of Representatives (Bosnian and Serbian: Predstavnički dom / Представнички дом, Croatian: Zastupnički dom) has 42 members, elected for a four-year terms by proportional representation. Its predecessors were the unicameral Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the People's Assembly of SR Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The House of Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Bosnian: Predstavnički Dom Bosne i Hercegovine, Croatian: Zastupnički Dom Bosne i Hercegovine and Serbian Cyrillic: Представнички Дом Босне и Херцеговине) is one of the two chambers of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the other being the House of Peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The chamber consists of 42 members which are elected by party-list proportional representation. 28 members are elected from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and 14 from Republika Srpska. Members serve for terms of four years. The current membership of the chamber was elected on 2 October 2022.

Zgošća Stećak (Serbo-Croatian: Zgošćanski Stećak) is a stećak (monumental medieval tombstone) discovered in a gorge of the Zgošća river, near Donja Zgošća village, not far from Kakanj in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is one of the most representative examples of stećak found in terms of its size, artistic processing and ornamentation. Along the Zgošća Stećak researchers found a stećak in the form of a column, colloquially known as Zgošća Column. Both column and gable stećak dates back to the 15th century. The stećak was relocated from its original location to a botanical garden in the atrium of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo, where it is kept and displayed for public view.

This is a stećak (monumental medieval tombstone) discovered in a gorge of the Zgošća river, near Donja Zgošća village, not far from Kakanj in Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the site called Crkvina Necropolis, with several other stećaks of which most important one is called Zgošća Stećak. It is one of the most representative examples of stećak found in terms of its size, artistic processing and ornamentation. Both column and gable stećak dates back to the 15th century. Suada and Olga Bridge (Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian: Most Suade i Olge / Мост Суаде и Олге), also known by its old name Vrbanja Bridge (Vrbanja most / Врбања мост) is a bridge across the Miljacka river in Sarajevo.

The Battle of Vrbanja Bridge ([ʋr̩baɲa], wer-bagn-ah) was an armed confrontation which took place on 27 May 1995, between United Nations (UN) peacekeepers from the French Army and elements of the Bosnian Serb Army of Republika Srpska (VRS). The fighting occurred at the Vrbanja Bridge crossing of the Miljacka river in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, during the Bosnian War. The VRS seized the French-manned United Nations Protection Force (UNPROFOR) observation posts on both ends of the bridge, taking hostage 12 French peacekeepers. Ten were taken away, and two were kept at the bridge as human shields. A platoon of 30 French peacekeepers led by Captain François Lecointre recaptured the bridge with the support of 70 French infantrymen and direct fire from armoured vehicles. During the French assault, elements of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ARBiH) opened fire on the VRS-held observation posts on their own initiative, accidentally wounding one French hostage. Two French soldiers were killed during the battle, and 17 were wounded. The VRS's casualties were four killed, several wounded and four captured. After the battle, VRS forces were observed to be less likely to engage French UN peacekeepers deployed in the city. In 2017, Lecointre, now an army general, was appointed as France's Chief of the Defence Staff.

The National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian: Zemaljski muzej Bosne i Hercegovine / Земаљски музеј Босне и Херцеговине) is located in central Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was established in 1888, having originally been conceived around 1850 and expanded in 1913 by the Czech architect Karel Pařík adding four symmetric pavilions that contain the departments of archaeology, ethnology, natural history, and a library. The museum is a cultural and scientific institution covering a wide range of areas including archaeology, art history, ethnology, geography, history and natural history. The Sarajevo Haggadah, an illuminated manuscript and the oldest Sephardic Jewish document in the world issued in Barcelona around 1350, containing the traditional Jewish Haggadah, is held at the museum. It has a library with 162,000 volumes.After being closed for several years due to heavy damage during the Bosnian War, the museum has re-opened and is in the process of mounting new and pre-existing exhibits. Having remained open for its entire history including during the Bosnian War in the early 1990s, the museum was closed between 2012 and 2015 due to disagreements about funding.

Vilsonovo Šetalište (transl. Wilson's Promenade / Wilson's Lane) is a promenade in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is an important street for the city, however, in the afternoon hours and during weekend the traffic restriction is in force, and the promenade becomes a recreational area. The lane also bears a historical significance. It was conceived during the Austro-Hungarian era.Wilson's Promenade was named after the former president of the United States, Woodrow Wilson. There are 480 linden and chestnut trees. An important feature is the Miljacka river, which runs along the promenade. The lane is frequently visited not just by people living to its close proximity, but also by people from all over the city as well as tourists.

The Nijaz Duraković Park, formerly and also known as Hastahana, is a park located in Marijin Dvor neighborhood in Centar municipality of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
