St Andrew's Church, Barton Bendish

St Mary's Church is a redundant medieval Anglican church in the village of Barton Bendish, Norfolk, England. This village had two more parish churches –St Andrew's Church, and All Saints' Church (demolished). St Mary's is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The architectural historian Nikolaus Pevsner was of the opinion that its west door is "one of the best Norman doorways in England". The church stands in an isolated position to the west of the village.

Barton Bendish is a civil parish and small village in the English county of Norfolk 10 miles (16 km) south of King's Lynn and 90 miles (140 km) northeast of London. It has two medieval parish churches, and once had three. The parish includes the hamlet of Eastmoor, and covers 3,936 acres (1,593 ha). The village has been settled since Neolithic times and was expanded during the Saxon period. It had a population of 210 in the 2010 census and contains eight listed buildings, with the two medieval parishes churches being Grade I.

RAF Barton Bendish was an airfield for the Royal Air Force located on the far side of the Downham Market to Swaffham road from its parent station, RAF Marham. It was built because at the outbreak of the Second World War it was considered important for bomber stations to have a satellite airfield. The only aircraft known to have operated out of Barton Bendish were Vickers Wellington bombers from Marham. It was abandoned in 1942, as it was considered too close to the parent station to be developed further. No. 26 Squadron RAF. No. 268 Squadron RAF.

Boughton is a village and a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The village is 44.4 miles (71.5 km) west of Norwich, 15.1 miles (24.3 km) south-south-east of King's Lynn and 97.7 miles (157.2 km) north-east of London. The nearest town is Downham Market which is 7.3 miles (11.7 km) west of the village.

Winnold House, formerly the Benedictine Priory of St Winwaloe, is a country house in the parish of Wereham in Norfolk, England. The house is constructed from the remaining fragments of a former Benedictine priory. The priory was founded in 1199 and was dissolved in 1321. It was demolished in 1539, and the surviving fragments were incorporated into a house sometime in the 17th century; it was rebuilt in the mid-19th century. It is a Grade II* listed building.

Fincham is a village and civil parish the English county of Norfolk. The village is located 9.4 miles (15.1 km) south of King's Lynn and 34 miles (55 km) west of Norwich, along the A1122 between Outwell and Swaffham.

Boughton Fen is a 15.7-hectare (39-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest east of Downham Market in Norfolk, England. it is common land registered to Boughton Parish Council. This valley in a tributary of the River Wissey is covered by tall fen over most of the site, together with areas of scrub which provide a habitat for breeding birds. There are many uncommon species of moths, including the rare Perizoma sagittaria. There is access to the site from Oxborough Road.

Royal Air Force Marham, commonly abbreviated RAF Marham (IATA: KNF, ICAO: EGYM) is a Royal Air Force station and military airbase near the village of Marham in the English county of Norfolk, East Anglia. It is home to No. 138 Expeditionary Air Wing (138 EAW) and, as such, is one of the RAF's 'main operating bases' (MOB). Since 6 June 2018, it has been home to the fifth generation Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning operated by No. 617 (Dambusters) Squadron. No. 207 Squadron, becoming the second Lightning squadron to be based at RAF Marham when it reformed on 1 August 2019 as the F-35 operational conversion unit (OCU).

Marham Abbey was situated in the village of Marham, southeast of King's Lynn, Norfolk, England. It was founded by Isabel, Countess of Arundel, in 1249 as a monastery for Cistercian nuns and dedicated to St Mary, St Barbara and St Edmund. Being of little wealth or status, in 1536 the monastery was in the first wave of closures during the Dissolution of the Monasteries and was reportedly in considerable disarray, with the inhabitants accused of disreputable behaviour. The site was granted to Sir Nicholas and John Hare, residents of London. What little remains of the complex is on private land and consists of some stretches of walling of the church, visible from a nearby main road.

Marham is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk, approximate 12 miles (19 km) away from King's Lynn. An RAF station, RAF Marham, is situated nearby at Upper Marham. The village covers an area of 1,485 ha (3,670 acres) and had a population of 2,951 in 788 households as of the 2001 census, increasing to 3,531 at the 2011 Census.The villages name means 'Pool homestead/village' or 'hemmed-in land with a pool'.

Shouldham is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. It covers an area of 16.04 km2 (6.19 sq mi) and had a population of 608 in 246 households at the 2001 census, the population reducing slightly to 605 at the 2011 census. It also contains a church (pictured) and a primary school (St Martins at Shouldham). The villages name means 'homestead/village with an obligation'. Shouldham is a parish of the Kings Lynn and West Norfolk district council, which is responsible for the most local services. Norfolk County Council is responsible for roads, some schools, and social services. For Westminster elections the parish forms part of the South West Norfolk constituency, represented by Liz Truss.
