The Münchner Lach- und Schießgesellschaft (German: [ˈmʏnçnɐ ˈlax ʔʊnt ˈʃiːsɡəˌzɛlʃaft]; Munich laughing and shooting company) is a German political kabarett (satirical revue) that runs at its own theatre in Schwabing, Munich. It was founded in 1956 by journalist Sammy Drechsel and comedian Dieter Hildebrandt, who were soon joined by Klaus Peter Schreiner. Walter Kabel was responsible for the show's music from 1956 to 1972, which included his own compositions.

Schwabinger 7 or Schwabinger Sieben is a tavern in the Feilitzschstraße in the area known as Münchner Freiheit in Munich, Germany. The name comes from the neighbourhood Schwabing and the 7 is the house number of the original establishment.

The Erlöserkirche (Church of the Redeemer) is the oldest Lutheran church in Schwabing, part of Munich, Bavaria, Germany. The full name is Evangelisch-Lutherische Erlöserkirche. It was built from 1899 to 1901 on a design by Theodor Fischer, in a style combining historicism and Jugendstil.

Münchner Freiheit is a Munich U-Bahn interchange station in the Munich borough of Schwabing-Freimann. Here, the U3 and U6 subway lines part, with U3 continuing west towards Scheidplatz and U6 continuing north towards Freimann. The station serves as a major interchange for northern Munich. Underground, the station consists of two island platforms, each servicing two tracks. On the surface, a bus and tram terminal is located on the corner of Leopoldstraße and Feilitschstraße. This is the southern terminus of route of the Munich tramway, which opened in 2009 and continues north towards the Parkstadt Schwabing office and residential development.

The Münchner Freiheit (called Münchener Freiheit until 1998) is a square in Munich's Schwabing, near the English Garden. It is a popular tourist attraction, especially during winter when one of Munich's largest Christmas markets takes place. The square's Munich U-Bahn station is Münchner Freiheit. A German pop group, Münchener Freiheit, derived their name from the location, and have retained the original spelling.

The Englischer Garten (German: [ˈʔɛŋlɪʃɐ ˈɡaʁtn̩], English Garden) is a large public park in the centre of Munich, Bavaria, stretching from the city centre to the northeastern city limits. It was created in 1789 by Sir Benjamin Thompson (1753–1814), later Count Rumford (Reichsgraf von Rumford), for Prince Charles Theodore, Elector of Bavaria. Thompson's successors, Reinhard von Werneck (1757–1842) and Friedrich Ludwig von Sckell (1750–1823), advisers on the project from its beginning, both extended and improved the park. With an area of 3.7 km2 (1.4 sq mi) (370 ha or 910 acres), the Englischer Garten is one of the world's largest urban public parks. The name refers to its English garden form of informal landscape, a style popular in England from the mid-18th century to the early 19th century and particularly associated with Capability Brown.

The Chinese Tower (German: Chinesischer Turm) is a 25-metre wooden building resembling a pagoda at the Englischer Garten in Munich, Germany. The building was constructed from 1789 to 1790 and was opened to the public as an observation deck during the opening of the Englischer Garten in 1792. The tower burned down during the bombing of Munich during World War II and was reopened as a reconstruction in 1952. Today the tower is considered a landmark of the Englischer Garten.In the 1970s the tower was closed to the public because of security reasons and can since be accessed only by the music groups that still play at the tower. A reconstructed carousel originally dating back to the Biedermeier period is located near the tower, as well as numerous restaurants. The so-called Kocherlball festival has been held at the Chinese Tower on the third Sunday of July since 1989.
