Royapettah is a neighbourhood of Chennai, India.

Wesley Higher Secondary School is a government-aided private boys' secondary school in Tamil Nadu, India. The school is affiliated with the Institutions of Meston Education and Development Association; a Christian organisation.

Adarsh Vidyalaya Higher Secondary School is a Matriculation School by the Punjab Association for girls. It is in Royapettah, Chennai, India. The school was founded by Padmashri. P.N. Dhawan, Mrs. Visharda Hoon was the first principal. Mrs Vasanthalakshmi and Mrs Radha Ravangi were subsequent principals. Express Avenue (Tamil: எக்ஸ்ப்ரெஸ் அவென்யூ) is a shopping mall in Chennai promoted by Express Infrastructure, A division of Express Newspapers Pvt. Ltd. It is home to the largest gaming arcade in South India. Built at a cost of ₹7,500 million (US$94 million), the mall is spread over 1,750,000-square-foot (163,000 m2), including 900,000-square-foot (84,000 m2) of leasable (retail) area. The mall has 10 anchor tenants and 150 vanilla tenants.

The New College (Tamil: புதுக்கல்லூரி) is an institution of higher education in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Established in 1951, the institution is one of the affiliated colleges of the University of Madras, with autonomous status. The college was established by the Muslim Educational Association of Southern India (MEASI) to meet the educational requirements of the Muslim students in South India. The maximum 90% of strength in college is Muslim students.

Amir Mahal is the official residence of the titular Nawab of Arcot and his family. Situated in Royapettah, a neighbourhood of Chennai, India, it was constructed in Indo-Saracenic style in 1798, the Amir Mahal has been the residence of the family since 1876. The Prince of Arcot, Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali, lives in the palace with his family.

In August 2018, PVR Cinemas had completed the acquisition of SPI Cinemas. The group is notable for being the first multiplex operator in India to equip its screens with the Dolby Atmos and Auro 11.1 sound systems.

Thiru Vi Ka Salai, or the Thiru Vi Ka High Road, is one of the main streets in the downtown region of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Running from north to south, the street branches off of the arterial Anna Salai north of the LIC Building and ends at Luz Corner in Mylapore, continuing as the Ramakrishna Mutt Road. The street connects the neighbourhoods of Royapettah, Mylapore and Gopalapuram. The street includes three individual stretches formerly known as General Patters Road, Westcott Road and Royapettah High Road, respectively. The longest stretch, formerly known as the Royapettah High Road, runs to a length of 1.17 km (0.73 mi). The presence of numerous automobile dealers on the northern end of the street resulted in Chennai coming to be known as The Detroit of India.

The Madras Diabetes Research Foundation (MDRF) is a medical research organization located in Gopalapuram, Chennai. MDRF was established in 1996 by an eminent diabetologist, Dr. V. Mohan.

Taj Club House is the fourth hotel of the Taj Group of Hotels in Chennai, India. Formerly known as the Taj Mount Road, it is a five-star luxury hotel located on Clubhouse Road, off Anna Salai, across the Taj Connemara Hotel, another property of the Taj Group. Owned by Taj GVK Hotels & Resorts Limited, an associate of the Taj Group, and built at a cost of ₹ 1,600 million, it was opened in December 2008. The hotel was designed by Thom Catallo of Mackenzie Designphase Hospitality.

Spencer Plaza (Tamil: ஸ்பென்சர் பிளாசா) is a shopping mall located on Anna Salai in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, and is one of the modern landmarks of the city. Originally built during the period of the British Raj and reconstructed in 1985 on the site of the original Spencer's department store, it is the oldest shopping mall in India and was one of the biggest shopping malls in South Asia when it was built. It is one of the earliest Grade A commercial projects of the city, which were developed in the second half of the 1990s. As of March 2010, it is the 11th largest mall in the country, with a gross leasable (retail) area of 530,000 sq ft.
