The Castlemorton Common Festival was a week-long free festival and rave held in the Malvern Hills near Malvern, Worcestershire, England between 22 and 29 May 1992. The media interest and controversy surrounding the festival, and concerns as to the way it was policed, inspired the legislation that would eventually become the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994.

Rye Cross is a hamlet in south-west Worcestershire 1 mile west of Castlemorton, 0.5 miles east of Berrow and 1 mile south of Hollybush, near the borders of Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. Eastnor Castle and the towns of Malvern, and Ledbury are nearby. There are several traditional English pubs in the area.

It consists of a village centre, a large common and many farms and houses within the area. In 2013 the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust purchased 42 acres of meadow at Hollybed Farm as part of a project to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Coronation of Elizabeth II and restore the meadows as a nature resrve.In 1992 the Common was the location of the controversial Castlemorton Common Festival, a week-long free festival and rave. The event made national headlines.The 2015 World War II film Our Father was filmed on location on Castlemorton Common.

Hollybush is a small village in Worcestershire at the southern end of the Malvern Hills and close to the borders of both Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. There is a small church, All Saints, and village hall but no shop or pub. The post office closed some years back as did the stone quarry.

Swinyard Hill is a hill in the Malvern Range, a line of hills that runs approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) north-south along the Herefordshire-Worcestershire border. Swinyard Hill lies north of Midsummer Hill and south of Hangmans Hill. It has an elevation of 272 metres (892 ft).

It lies to the south of Herefordshire Beacon with views to Eastnor Castle. It has an elevation of 284 metres (932 ft). To the north is Swinyard Hill. It is the site of an Iron Age hill fort which spans Midsummer Hill and Hollybush Hill. The hillfort is protected as a Scheduled Ancient Monument and is owned by Natural England. It can be accessed via a footpath which leads south from the car park at British Camp on the A449 or a footpath which heads north from the car park in Hollybush on the A438.

Hollybush Hill is situated in the range of Malvern Hills that runs approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) north–south along the Herefordshire–Worcestershire border. It lies to the east of Midsummer Hill. It has an elevation of 242 metres (794 ft).

Tinkers Hill is situated in the range of Malvern Hills that runs about 13 kilometres (8 mi) north-south along the Herefordshire-Worcestershire border. It lies to the east of Herefordshire Beacon with views across the Vale of Evesham and the Cotswolds. It has an elevation of 213 metres (699 ft).In June 2004, the Worcestershire Bat Group identified Tinkers Hill Wood as being home to a colony of barbastelles, a species of bat protected under the European Habitats Directive.

Upper Welland is a small settled area within the civil parish of Malvern Wells, in Worcestershire, England. Lying close to the county boundaries of Herefordshire.It was formed when the upper part of Welland parish joined the newly created Malvern Hills Urban District. Welland Parish once stretched to the ridge of the Malvern Hills. Its average elevation is 115 metres above the sea level.

It is situated on the lower slopes of the Malvern Hills, south of Malvern Wells, near Great Malvern, the major centre of the area often referred to as The Malverns. Little Malvern shares a parish council with Welland, with 2 of the 11 councillors.

Welland is a village and civil parish in the administrative district of Malvern Hills in the county of Worcestershire, England. It has a combined parish council with Little Malvern, with 9 of the 11 councillors. It is about 6 miles (9.7 km) from the town of Malvern, 15 miles from the city of Worcester, and 18 miles from the city of Gloucester. It is surrounded by farms and common land, and is part of the informal region referred to as The Malverns. Welland is a crossroads village in south Worcestershire situated almost mid-way on a minor alternative route between the cities of Worcester and Gloucester. The village is adjacent to Castlemorton Common and lies beneath the southern end of the Malvern Hills. Its main event is the Welland Steam Rally that takes place each year during the last weekend of July drawing enthusiasts, steam engines, historic vehicles, a steam carnival and militaria to the village. Other points of interest include its view of the entire range of the Malvern Hills, and its quiet rights of way. At the centre of the village community is the village hall, Welland Primary School founded in 1876 with a capacity for up to 150 children, and St James Church. The village hall is regularly used for many community activities including an arts & crafts club, over 60's club, local branch of the W.I., dancing, and short mat bowls. It also houses a library with computers offering free public access. Welland Football Club, who play their home games at The Hill Centre, Upton-on-Severn, are members of the Herefordshire League premier division; Welland Reserves play in the Cheltenham League division two, with home games at The Pavilion, Welland. Around 2001 St. James' Church came very near to closing but due to the initiative of a small team led by a churchwarden, it has been totally transformed and is now used virtually every day for various activities besides regular worship. Concerts and drama events are regularly held and attract large audiences. The settlement of Upper Welland falls under the civil parish of Malvern Wells.
