Granville Country Park

Muxton is a village between Lilleshall and Donnington in Shropshire, England. It now forms part of the new town of Telford, situated on the town's very north-eastern outskirts. The population was 6,557 as of the 2011 Census, which is a 12.6% increase over that at the previous census, which took place in 2001. The village is home to a doctors' surgery, a pharmacy, a post office, fast food outlets, a Price-point retailer, a hotel, a primary school and park areas. There is a McDonald's, a petrol station, a Premier Inn and a restaurant located between Muxton and neighbouring Donnington. St John's Church, (Church of England), is located in Muxton and together with St. Michael's and all Angels in Lilleshall forms the centre of the Christian community in both parishes. The building of St. John's is also used as a small community centre. There is also the Serbian Orthodox Church's Church of Saint Nicholas. The Shropshire Golf Centre is near Muxton, situated within the Granville Country Park, which itself lies on the southern edge of the greater Muxton area.

Donnington is an area / housing estate located in the borough of Telford and Wrekin and ceremonial county of Shropshire, England. The population of Donnington Ward was 6,883 at the 2011 census.

St George's Cricket Ground is a cricket ground in Telford, Shropshire. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1957, when Shropshire played the Derbyshire Second XI in the ground's first Minor Counties Championship match. From 1957 to present, the ground has hosted 20 Minor Counties Championship matches and 3 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches.The ground has also held List-A matches. The first List-A match Shropshire played a Yorkshire side that included Geoffrey Boycott in the 1984 NatWest Trophy; a match Shropshire famously won by 37 runs. From 1984 to 2000, the ground held 7 List-A matches, the last of which saw Shropshire play Somerset in the 2000 NatWest Trophy.In local domestic cricket, St George's Cricket Ground is the home ground of St.Georges Cricket Club, founded in 1922, whose forerunner was St.Georges Bible Class C.C. Today, St. Georges fields four Saturday sides and has a junior section which accepts children from school year 2.

Donnington railway station was a railway station in Shropshire, England. It was built by the Shropshire Union Railway who opened it in 1849, Passenger service ceased in September 1964, and freight service ceased on 4 October 1965.

Uxacona was a Romano-British settlement located at Redhill near present-day Telford, Shropshire. The settlement lies at the highest point of the Roman Watling Street, approximately 11 Roman miles from Viroconium Cornoviorum (Wroxeter) to the west, and 11 miles from Pennocrucium (Penkridge) to the east. Its only documentary mention is in the 2nd century Antonine Itinerary.The main settlement consisted of a small enclosure bisected by Watling Street, surrounded by a single ditch 3.20 m × 1.80 m (10.5 ft × 5.9 ft) and showing evidence of occupation from the early to the mid 4th century. To the north of the settlement lay a large single-ditched enclosure that may have been a military storage depot from the campaign of Quintus Veranius in AD 57 and a smaller double-ditched enclosure that may have been a signal station from the later 1st century.

St George's and Priorslee is a civil parish in the borough of Telford and Wrekin, Shropshire, England. St. George's and Priorslee are suburbs of Telford. The parish had a population of 11,033 at the 2011 census, and has an area of 2.05 sq mi (5.30 km2).The parish lies northeast of the Telford Town Centre and east of the town of Oakengates. The A5 runs through the area, and junction 4 of the M54 motorway is just to the south. The Priorslee area of Telford contains the Priorslee Campus of the University of Wolverhampton. At the centre of the Priorslee Campus is the grade II listed eighteenth century Priorslee Hall. The Priorslee area is also the site of major housing developments concentrating some of the more expensive housing in the town of Telford. There is also a primary school and a secondary school (Holy Trinity Academy). Priorslee is also famous for the Lion public house, on the Shifnal Road behind Priorslee Village. There is a parish council, the lowest tier of local government.The nearest railway stations are Oakengates and Telford Central.

Wrockwardine Wood (pronounced "Rock-war-dine") was originally a detached piece of woodland, then a township, formerly belonging to the manor and parish of Wrockwardine. Wrockwardine is located approximately 7 miles west from Wrockwardine Wood. Wrockwardine Wood is located in north east Telford in Shropshire and is bordered by Donnington, St Georges, Trench, The Nabb and Oakengates. The local government parish of Wrockwardine Wood and Trench comprises most of the Church of England parish of Wrockwardine Wood. In the eighteenth century industrial revolution Wrockwardine Wood was inhabited by coal and iron mine workers and their families. So many people had become Primitive Methodists that the Church of England set up a new parish in 1833 and built a very attractive red brick church (Holy Trinity). The 2 Methodist chapels recently closed, being replaced by Oakengates United Church (Methodist and United Reformed Church.)Wrockwardine Wood & Trench Parish Council has a Labour Party majority.

Holy Trinity Academy is a mixed secondary school and sixth form located in the Priorslee area of Telford in the English county of Shropshire.The school was opened in September 2015 in a new campus, replacing Blessed Robert Johnson Catholic College in Wellington. Holy Trinity Academy is a joint Roman Catholic and Church of England school, administered by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Shrewsbury and the Church of England Diocese of Lichfield.The school has many facilities including 2 football pitches, a netball court, a gym, dance studio and chapel. A house system is used in the school and consists of 4 teams; Johnson, Liddell, Assisi and Fry.

Oakengates Market Street railway station was a station in Oakengates, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1860 and closed in 1952. The station was demolished after closure and the site is now occupied by the A442.

Telford Priory School is a coeducational secondary school located in the Wrockwardine Wood area of Telford in Shropshire, England. The school opened in September 2015 in a new campus, following the merger of Wrockwardine Wood Arts Academy (formerly Wrockwardine Wood Secondary School) and Sutherland Co-operative Academy. The school is sponsored by the Community Academies Trust.The school facilities include full size 3G Astro with the leisure centre next door holding a 400m athletics track, sports hall, 2 netball courts, fitness suite, dance studio and is located next to an indoor tennis centre and 4 outdoor courts. Elina Pagett famously attended Wrockwardine Wood - the precursor to Telford Priory School.

The Wrekin is a constituency in the House of Commons of the British Parliament, located in the county of Shropshire in the West Midlands of England. It has existed continuously since its creation by the Representation of the People Act 1918, and is named after a prominent landmark hill in the area, The Wrekin. It has been represented by the Labour and Conservative parties since the 1920s, a post held since 2005 by Conservative MP Mark Pritchard.

Telford International Railfreight Park (known as TIRFP) is rail freight depot and construction development site located in Donnington to the north of Telford, on the former route of the Stafford–Shrewsbury line. The terminal was opened in 2009.The development of TIRFP was initiated through a partnership between Telford and Wrekin Council, the Ministry of Defence, and the Homes and Communities Agency (then English Partnerships) in 2001. Located on the former Wellington to Stafford railway line of the Shropshire Union Railway, the 46 acres (0.19 km2) is located 2.5 miles (4.0 km) northeast of Wellington railway station and is connected to the (Network Rail) Wolverhampton–Shrewsbury line just to the east of that station. Located on the former MoD Donnington stores, it is adjacent to existing manufacturing and warehousing facilities in Hadley Park and Hortonwood Industrial Estates. Located off Hortonwood Roundabout on the A518, it closest motorway access is via Junction 5 of the M54.With development started in 2008, TIRFP was officially opened by Shadow Secretary of State for Transport, Theresa Villiers MP, on Wednesday, 10 June 2009. Owned by Telford and Wrekin Council, the site, when opened, was operated under lease by John G Russell Transport Ltd. In 2010 the sidings at the railfreight park have also been used to store redundant rolling stock, including Class 508 EMUs (taken to Telford using diesel locomotives), as the park is currently suffering from low freight usage. Wrockwardine Wood and Trench Parish Council approved the original planning application, forwarded to Telford and Wrekin Borough Council with only minor opposition. In 2012, John G Russell pulled out of running the terminal and DB Schenker Rail (UK) were appointed to take over control of the terminal. DB Schenker have been running the only regular service into and out of the terminal since it reopened (that of a once-a-week MoD train).Class 196 Diesel multiple units operated by West Midlands Railway were being stored here while awaiting service on their brakes which emit excess noise compared to other multiple units. Unused sections of the site have been utilised as long term van storage for hire firms. This has enabled the terminal to employ its first full-time worker. The vans arrived on site in March 2015 and DB Schenker Rail (UK) hope that incoming vehicles can be delivered via the rail connection.
