St George's Cricket Ground is a cricket ground in Telford, Shropshire. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1957, when Shropshire played the Derbyshire Second XI in the ground's first Minor Counties Championship match. From 1957 to present, the ground has hosted 20 Minor Counties Championship matches and 3 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches.The ground has also held List-A matches. The first List-A match Shropshire played a Yorkshire side that included Geoffrey Boycott in the 1984 NatWest Trophy; a match Shropshire famously won by 37 runs. From 1984 to 2000, the ground held 7 List-A matches, the last of which saw Shropshire play Somerset in the 2000 NatWest Trophy.In local domestic cricket, St George's Cricket Ground is the home ground of St.Georges Cricket Club, founded in 1922, whose forerunner was St.Georges Bible Class C.C. Today, St. Georges fields four Saturday sides and has a junior section which accepts children from school year 2.

Telford and Wrekin is a borough and unitary authority in Shropshire, England. In 1974, a non-metropolitan district of Shropshire was created called The Wrekin, named after a prominent hill to the west of Telford. In 1998, the district became a unitary authority and was renamed "Telford and Wrekin", which remains part of the Shropshire ceremonial county and shares institutions such as the Fire and Rescue Service and Community Health with the rest the county. The borough's major settlement is Telford, which was designated a "new town" in the 1960s and incorporated the towns of Dawley, Madeley, Oakengates, and Wellington. After the Telford conurbation, which includes the aforementioned towns, the next-largest settlement is Newport which is located in the northeast of the borough and is not part of the original new town of Telford. The borough borders Staffordshire, but is surrounded by the unitary district of Shropshire which covers the area previously administered by Shropshire County Council.

Telford Central railway station serves the town of Telford, Shropshire, England. It is located on the Wolverhampton to Shrewsbury Line 15+1⁄2 miles (24.9 km) north west of Wolverhampton and is operated by West Midlands Trains. It is situated close to the Telford Shopping Centre, the main commercial district of the town.

Oakengates Market Street railway station was a station in Oakengates, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1860 and closed in 1952. The station was demolished after closure and the site is now occupied by the A442.

Oakengates railway station serves the town of Oakengates, Telford and Wrekin, Shropshire, England. It has two platforms. Rail services are primarily provided by West Midlands Trains seven days a week with Transport for Wales providing a service on late evenings through the week, and a limited service on Sundays. Avanti West Coast do not currently call at Oakengates station. Between Oakengates and Telford Central is the Oakengates Tunnel.

Wrockwardine Wood (pronounced "Rock-war-dine") was originally a detached piece of woodland, then a township, formerly belonging to the manor and parish of Wrockwardine. Wrockwardine is located approximately 7 miles west from Wrockwardine Wood. Wrockwardine Wood is located in north east Telford in Shropshire and is bordered by Donnington, St Georges, Trench, The Nabb and Oakengates. The local government parish of Wrockwardine Wood and Trench comprises most of the Church of England parish of Wrockwardine Wood. In the eighteenth century industrial revolution Wrockwardine Wood was inhabited by coal and iron mine workers and their families. So many people had become Primitive Methodists that the Church of England set up a new parish in 1833 and built a very attractive red brick church (Holy Trinity). The 2 Methodist chapels recently closed, being replaced by Oakengates United Church (Methodist and United Reformed Church.)Wrockwardine Wood & Trench Parish Council has a Labour Party majority.

Oakengates is a constituent town of Telford and a civil parish in the borough of Telford and Wrekin, Shropshire, England. The towns parish population was recorded as 8,517 in the 2001 census.

Malins Lee railway station was a station in Malinslee, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1862 and closed in 1952. The station site marks the halfway point of the Silkin Way footpath which follows the railway alignment to the south as far as just short of the former Coalport East railway station.

Holy Trinity Academy is a mixed secondary school and sixth form located in the Priorslee area of Telford in the English county of Shropshire.The school was opened in September 2015 in a new campus, replacing Blessed Robert Johnson Catholic College in Wellington. Holy Trinity Academy is a joint Roman Catholic and Church of England school, administered by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Shrewsbury and the Church of England Diocese of Lichfield.The school has many facilities including 2 football pitches, a netball court, a gym, dance studio and chapel. Telford ( ) is a town in Shropshire, England. It is the administrative centre of Telford and Wrekin borough, a unitary authority which covers the town, its suburbs and surrounding settlements. The town is close to the county's eastern boundary, and near the River Severn. The notable hill near the town called The Wrekin is part of the Shropshire Hills an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. To the south of the town, is the Ironbridge Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Places around the Ironbridge Gorge area, which were developed into the town itself, are internationally recognised as being "The Birthplace of Industry" being to a large extent constructed during the Industrial Revolution on the Shropshire Coalfield. The M54 motorway was completed in 1983, improving the town's road links with the West Midlands conurbation, Wolverhampton is 19 miles (31 km) south east and Birmingham is 28 miles (45 km) in the same direction. In the 2011 census, the town had a population of 142,723 while in 2017, the wider borough had an estimated population of 175,271. It is the most populous settlement in Shropshire, Shrewsbury is second and is 15 miles (24 km) to the west of the town. It is near Staffordshire: Stafford is 21 miles (34 km) to the east and Stoke-on-Trent is 25 miles (40 km) north east from the town. The town is polycentric, having been designated under the New Towns Acts in 1963 and 1968 and developed between the 1960s to the 1970s. Centred on a shopping centre and a public park, the new town is named after Thomas Telford; a civil engineer to many road, canal and rail projects in the county. It was originally designated under the name Dawley New Town, Dawley being to the south of new-town’s centre. As well as multiple villages and Dawley, the other constituent towns are Wellington, Madeley and Oakengates.

The school opened in September 2015 in a new campus, following the merger of Wrockwardine Wood Arts Academy (formerly Wrockwardine Wood Secondary School) and Sutherland Co-operative Academy. The school is sponsored by the Community Academies Trust.The school facilities include full size 3G Astro with the leisure centre next door holding a 400m athletics track, sports hall, 2 netball courts, fitness suite, dance studio and is located next to an indoor tennis centre and 4 outdoor courts. Elina Pagett famously attended Wrockwardine Wood - the precursor to Telford Priory School.
