Berceto (Parmigiano: Bersèjj, Barsäi or Bersè; Ligurian: Bercèi) is a village and comune in Italy, located in the Apennine Mountains on the main road between La Spezia and Parma, in the Taro River valley, in the region of Emilia-Romagna. The main church in the comune is the Duomo of San Moderanno founded in the 9th century and with Lombard era sculptures. Other sights include the remains of the Castle of Berceto as well as those of Pietramogolana and Roccaprebalza. Berceto was the birthplace of condottiero Pier Maria II de' Rossi.

The Cisa Pass or La Cisa Pass is a mountain pass in Italy that marks the division between the Ligurian and Tuscan Apennines. It is located on the border between northern Tuscany (Province of Massa-Carrara) and Emilia-Romagna (Province of Parma), near the source of the Magra River at an altitude of 1,040 meters (3,414 feet) above sea level.

Pietramogolana is a frazione of the commune of Berceto in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. The hamlet was once named "Petra Mugulana", from the Latin Petra Mugiens, namely "roaring stone", referring to the roaring waters of the river Taro which runs by the base of the rocky outcrop upon which the hamlet is built.

Terenzo (Parmigiano: Tréns) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Parma in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 100 kilometres (62 mi) west of Bologna and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) southwest of Parma. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,250 and an area of 72.4 square kilometres (28.0 mi2). The municipality of Terenzo contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Bardone, Boschi di Bardone, Case Castellani, Cassio, Castello, Castello di Casola, Cazzola, Corniana, Goiano, Lesignano Palmia, Lughero, Palmia, Puilio, Selva Grossa, Stazione Bocchetto, Villa, Casola, and Viola. At the foot of Monte Zirone, is the slender former church or Pieve di San Michele di Corniana, dedicate to St Michael Archangel. Also nearby is the Pieve di Bardone, completed prior to 13th-century. Terenzo borders the following municipalities: Berceto, Calestano, Fornovo di Taro, Sala Baganza, Solignano.

Calestano (Parmigiano: Calistan) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Parma in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 100 kilometres (62 mi) west of Bologna and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) southwest of Parma. Calestano borders the following municipalities: Berceto, Corniglio, Felino, Langhirano, Sala Baganza, Terenzo.

Autodromo Riccardo Paletti is a race track for motorsports near Varano in the Province of Parma, Italy, about 30 km (19 mi) southwest of Parma. The track began as a small 0.550 km (0.342 mi) oval in 1969, and this was then expanded to a full 1.800 km (1.118 mi), 11-turn race track. This new layout was inaugurated officially on 26 March 1972. The track is named after Formula One driver Riccardo Paletti (1958–1982), who was killed at the 1982 Canadian Grand Prix. In 2001 the layout was extended to a length of 2.375 km (1.476 mi). However, the layout length was decreased to 2.360 km (1.466 mi) in 2010, then 2.350 km (1.460 mi) in 2011. Among the track's co-founders was engineer Giampaolo Dallara, who later established Dallara in Varano.

Varano de' Melegari (Parmigiano: Varàn di Melgär) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Parma in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 110 kilometres (68 mi) west of Bologna and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) southwest of Parma. The town is home to a medieval castle (Castello Pallavicino), a motorsport circuit, the Autodromo Riccardo Paletti, and the headquarters of racecar manufacturer Dallara. Also notable is the 7th century octagonal baptistery in the frazione of Serravalle Ceno, located on the Ceno River. Near the town is located the Mount Prinzera, 724 meters high, it is a regional natural park along the Via Francigena, mainly formed by rocks of ophiolite origin.

Bagnone is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Massa and Carrara in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 120 kilometres (75 mi) northwest of Florence and about 35 kilometres (22 mi) northwest of Massa in the Lunigiana, facing the Monte Sillara, which has a peak elevation of 1,861 metres (6,106 ft). The Bagnone torrent crosses the Communal territory, a left affluence of the Magra River. Sights include the castle, the churches of San Niccolò (rebuilt in the 18th century, including a 15th-century Madonna del Pianto from the medieval edifice) and San Leonardo (1785) and the oratory of San Terenzio (housing 17th-century paintings). On 22 August 2009, a lottery player from Bagnone won an estimated €146.9 million (£128 million / US$211 million) in Italy's SuperEnalotto. This is considered Europe's biggest ever lottery win.

The Val di Taro is the valley of the Taro river, a tributary of the Po. The valley lies almost entirely in the Province of Parma, in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy.

The Ceno is a 63-kilometre (39 mi) tributary of the river Taro, flowing entirely within the Province of Parma, northern Italy. It joins the Taro on its left bank at Fornovo. Like the Taro, the Ceno has its source on Monte Penna, in the Ligurian Apennine, though it rises on the opposite side of the mountain to the Taro. The Ceno's average final volume is approximately half that of the Taro, but can vary substantially depending on the season. Its discharge occasionally exceeds 1,000 cubic metres per second (35,000 cu ft/s). The Ceno is near Bardi.

Santa Maria Assunta a Fornovo is a Romanesque-style, Roman Catholic parish church or pieve located in Fornovo di Taro in the region of Emilia Romagna, Italy.
