Perth Castle was a 9th-century castle in Perth, Scotland. It was located near the northern end of today's Skinnergate. In the 19th century, there was a memorial to the castle in Castle Gable, which ran north-west from the castle's former location, today occupied by Perth Concert Hall.

The vennels of Perth are a collection of small medieval streets in the city of Perth, Scotland. Similar to York's Snickelways, vennels are a public right-of-way passageway between the gables of buildings which can, in effect, be a minor street. In Scotland, the term originated in royal burghs created in the twelfth century, the word deriving from the Old French word venelle meaning "alley" or "lane". Unlike a tenement entry to private property, known as a "close", a vennel was a public way leading from a typical high street to the open ground beyond the burgage plots. The Latin form is venella, related to the English word "funnel". Perth developed from an initial plan of two parallel streets — High Street and South Street — linked by several vennels leading north and south. The names of these vennels have historic origins, and many — such as Cow Vennel and Fleshers Vennel — reflect the trades associated with their foundation. South Street was originally terminated at its eastern end by Gowrie House (the site of today's Perth Sheriff Court). Upon its demolition in the early 19th century, direct access was granted to the river.In 2018, Perth architect Fergus Purdie put forward a design to revamp a space off of Guard Vennel. If it were to be accepted, it would become a temporary events space. The plan was approved, on a city-wide scale, in March 2019.

The Battle of the North Inch (also known as the Battle of the Clans) was a staged battle between the Clan Chattan and the "Clan Quhele" in September 1396. Thirty men were selected to represent each side in front of spectators, including King Robert III of Scotland and his court, on land that is now the North Inch park in Perth, Scotland. The Clan Chattan killed all but one of their opponents, at a cost of 19 deaths on their own side, and were awarded the victory. It is not clear whom they were fighting: it may have been their traditional enemies Clan Cameron, or it may have been Clan Davidson, in an internal dispute for precedence in the confederation of Clan Chattan.

Perth Art Gallery is the principal art gallery and exhibition space in the city of Perth, Scotland. It is located partly in the Marshall Monument, named in memory of Thomas Hay Marshall, a former provost of Perth.The building was formerly known as Perth Museum and Art Gallery, ceasing to be so in anticipation of the new Perth Museum opening within Perth City Hall.

Perth Guildhall is a building at today's 102–106 High Street, Perth, Scotland. The structure, which stands at the corner of High and King Edward Streets, a block north of Perth City Hall, is Category B listed, dating to 1907. It stands on the site of a former guildhall that existed between 1722 and 1907. The previous building, which was torn down in May 1907, also used to hold theatre plays. Unlike today's three-storey structure, its predecessor was only two levels, the ground floor occupied by merchants, including D. Robertson booksellers and James Wotherspoon's hatters shortly before its demolition.The foundation stone of today's structure was laid in the second half of 1907 by incumbent Dean of Guild, James Barlas. It was opened on 29 August 1908. The building hosted the Guild's activities until 1988, at which point it suffered collateral damage from construction work on an adjacent building. The hall was deemed beyond economic repair, and was sold for development. The Guild used the funds to purchase new premises at 5 Atholl Street, near the North Inch. Its façade features sculptures in its segmental pediment, the work of H. H. Morton.

Perth Concert Hall is an events centre which hosts a programme of concerts, performances and contemporary art in Perth, Scotland.

Perth Theatre is an entertainment venue in Mill Street, Perth, Scotland. It opened in 1900 and was extended in the 1980s.The building is category B listed by Historic Environment Scotland, and is operated by the charitable organisation Horsecross Arts, alongside sister venue Perth Concert Hall.

Perth mercat cross is located on King Edward Street in the Scottish city of Perth, Perth and Kinross. Erected in 1913, in memory of Edward VII, it stands immediately to the west of Perth City Hall, which was completed a year later, between it and St John's Centre. King Edward Street was created between 1901 and 1902. It is the fifth incarnation of the city's mercat crosses.

St John's Shopping Centre is a shopping mall in Perth, Scotland. Situated between (and with entrances from) South Street (to the south), King Edward Street (to the east), Scott Street (to the west) and the pedestrianised section of the High Street (to the north), it was built between 1985 and 1987. It cost around £20 million. Its main entrance is that facing the Category B listed Perth City Hall on King Edward Street, with Perth mercat cross standing between the two.Its construction meant the ancient St John's Square was demolished, with its residents relocated elsewhere in the city. The Session House also previously stood in the market place, immediately across from the western door of St John's Kirk, on the site of today's City Hall.The shopping centre was opened in March 1988 by Dr Willi Reiland, mayor for thirty years of Perth's twin town, Aschaffenburg, Germany.The centre was once owned by Gerald Grosvenor, 6th Duke of Westminster. It was purchased by the Universities Superannuation Scheme from BAE Systems Pension Funds in 2011.

Perth City Hall is a civic building in King Edward Street, Perth, Scotland. Built in 1914, it is a Category B listed building.The building served as a music hall before closing in 2005 and being replaced by Perth Concert Hall. Major renovations began in 2018 which included the introduction of a museum in part of the building. It is set to reopen in 2024, and will be the new home to Perth Museum, in which the Stone of Destiny will be one of the items on display.

The Old Ship Inn is a public house in Perth, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. While the current building is late Victorian, an Old Ship Inn has been on the site since at least 1665. The inn was close to the original Perth mercat cross, which was moved when it was rebuilt. The inn's name references its proximity to Perth's original harbour, which lay at the end of the High Street.Although its address is given as High Street, its entrance on the medieval Skinnergate is more notable.It has been owned by Belhaven Brewery.

The 51st (Highland) Division War Memorial is located at the North Inch public park in Perth, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. It is dedicated to the soldiers of the 51st (Highland) Division lost in World War II. It was unveiled on 13 May 1995, marking the 50th anniversary of the conclusion of the war.The bronze sculptures depict a Highlander piper being handed a rose from a bunch of flowers held by a young Dutch girl. A bronze dedication plaque is mounted on a tablet on the granite base. Another plaque, listing the regiment's battle honours, is at the rear. By the steps leading up to the memorial is a tablet informing the visitor of the memorial's symbolism. Two bronze relief plaques are on the sides of the base; one is a montage of soldiers in the field, the other depicts a gun, an armoured personnel carrier, a tank, medics treating a wounded soldier, a piper leading two soldiers into battle, a chaplain at a burial service and three lorries at a depot.
