Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System (SRHS) is one of South Carolina's largest healthcare systems. SRHS draws patients primarily from the areas of Spartanburg, Cherokee, Union, and Greenville counties (all located in the Piedmont region of South Carolina) as well as Rutherford and Polk counties (located in western North Carolina). Spartanburg General Hospital was organized under the authority of the South Carolina General Assembly in 1917 and officially became the Spartanburg Regional Health Services District, Inc., a political subdivision of the State of South Carolina, by the charter granted by the secretary of state of South Carolina on May 1, 1995.

Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium is a college basketball arena located in Spartanburg, South Carolina on the campus of Wofford College. It became home of the Wofford Terriers men's and women's basketball teams at the start of the 2017–18 season, replacing Benjamin Johnson Arena. The main basketball arena seats 3,400, and the building also includes a 350-seat volleyball arena.Construction on the facility began in January of 2016. The building opened with a volleyball match between Wofford and Furman on September 20, 2017, and the basketball arena opened on November 10 with a men's game against South Carolina.The Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium has a seating capacity for non-athletics functions, such as commencement and concerts, of 4,500. It includes home and visitor lockers for multiple sports, a state-of-the-art training room, coaches' offices and locker rooms and team meeting rooms. Other features include a video board and ribbon boards, plus designated areas specifically designed for students, fans, children and donors. Four open-air suites are located in the corners. It was designed by McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture with Robins and Morton as general contractors.

Gibbs Cancer Center & Research Institute (Gibbs Cancer Center, Gibbs) is a cancer treatment and research facility in Upstate South Carolina. Gibbs Cancer Center is associated with the NCI Community Cancer Centers Program and the Medical University of South Carolina. Gibbs has several locations across the upstate of South Carolina, including Comprehensive Cancer Centers at both Spartanburg Medical Center and Pelham Medical Center. Additional infusion facilities are located in Gaffney, Union, Mary Black and North Grove.

Gibbs Stadium is a 13,000-seat multi-purpose stadium in Spartanburg, South Carolina. It opened in 1996 and is home to the Wofford College Terriers football team. It is also formerly the home to the Spartanburg High School varsity football team. It is home to the 30th largest college football scoreboard in the nation at 1,485 square feet (138.0 m2). It was named for the Gibbs family, long-time donors to Wofford, for their $1 million donation to build it.

Benjamin Johnson Arena is a 3,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Spartanburg, South Carolina, United States. It was built in 1981 and is currently used as a campus recreation and intramural sports facility for Wofford College. The arena had been home to the Wofford men's basketball, women's basketball, and women's volleyball teams from its opening through the 2016–17 school year, but all three teams moved to the newly built Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium in the fall of 2017. The arena is named after the late Benjamin O. Johnson, former vice president of Spartan Mills and community leader in Spartanburg.

Russell C. King Field is a baseball venue located in Spartanburg, South Carolina, United States. It is home to the Wofford Terriers college baseball team of the Division I Southern Conference. It has a capacity of 2,500 spectators.Of the 2,500 spectator capacity, 833 is made up of permanent, chair-backed seating. The remainder consists of berm-style seating down either foul line. The field also features stadium lighting.

Drayton Mill is a historic textile mill complex located near Spartanburg, Spartanburg County, South Carolina. The complex includes the distinctive Tudor Revival company store and office building, constructed in 1919. Other buildings and structures include the three-story, rectangular, red brick spinning mill (1902-1904) with later additions, a cotton warehouse (1918), a two-story weaving building (1928), a 1,500,000 gallon mill pond, two water towers, two pump buildings, and an information center.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Wofford College is a private liberal arts college in Spartanburg, South Carolina. It was founded in 1854. The 175-acre (71 ha) campus is a national arboretum and one of the few four-year institutions in the southeastern United States founded before the American Civil War that still operates on its original campus. Wofford was founded with a bequest of $100,000 from Benjamin Wofford (1780–1850), a Methodist minister and Spartanburg native who sought to create a college for "literary, classical, and scientific education in my native district of Spartanburg." The college's Main Building is the oldest structure on campus and was designed by the noted Charleston architect Edward C. Jones. In 1941, the college was awarded a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation's oldest academic honor society, and the Beta of South Carolina chapter was the first at a private college in South Carolina.

Bon Haven, also known as The Cleveland House, was an historic house located in Spartanburg, Spartanburg County, South Carolina. It was built about 1884, and was a two-story, brick Second Empire style dwelling with 1920s Neo-Classical style additions. It featured a mansard roof, central tower and massive Ionic order columns and portico. Its builder, John B. Cleveland, was a founder and trustee of Converse College, a trustee of Wofford College, and played a role in the establishment of Spartanburg's city school system. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.Left to rot by its owner, the property was in a state of despair. A couple from Greenville offered to purchase Bon Haven for ~$380,000 and promised to historically restore the property and make it a venue or bed and breakfast. Bon Haven was demolished on September 25, 2017. It was removed from the National Register in 2020. An apartment complex, also named Bon Haven, was built on the former site of the house in 2021.

Drayton is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Spartanburg County, in the U.S. state of South Carolina. It was first listed as a CDP in the 2020 census with a population of 1,115.

Evins-Bivings House, also known as the Dr. James Bivings House, is a historic home located at Spartanburg, Spartanburg County, South Carolina. It was built about 1854, and is a two-story, white clapboard house in the Greek Revival style. The house features double piazzas with massive Doric order columns and notable balustrades. Also on the property are the original kitchen, slave quarters, smokehouse, and well. It was built by Dr. James Bivings, who founded Glendale Mills.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.

The Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium is a large-events venue in Spartanburg, South Carolina, located at 385 N Church St. It was built in 1951 and consists of a 3,217-seat theater with an 83'9"-by-86' stage and a 1,600-seat Exhibit Hall with 13,638 square feet (Dimensions: 83.5'-by-163'4") of exhibit space. The auditorium, with 2,017 seats on the lower level and 1,200 in the two balconies (834 lower balcony and 366 upper balcony seats), is used for concerts, stage and family shows, and other events, and is one of South Carolina's largest theaters. The arena is used for concerts, trade shows, banquets, wrestling, and other events. The Auditorium has hosted the Supremes in 1962, Ray Charles in 1968 and 1997, Billy Joel in 1977, Black Crowes in 1992, Phish in 1994, Billy Ray Cyrus in 1995, Dave Matthews in 1997, 3 Doors Down in 2001, country singer Aaron Tippin (from Travelers Rest) in 2003, Taylor Swift in 2008, Jerry Seinfeld in 2010, the Fray with Colbie Caillat and Michelle Branch in 2011, and Halestorm in 2016.
