Norris is a town in Pickens County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 813 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Greenville–Mauldin–Easley Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Central is a town in Pickens County, South Carolina, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 5,159, roughly 3,000 of whom were considered permanent residents. Contrary to its name, it is not near South Carolina's center. It received its name from being halfway or the central point between Atlanta and Charlotte along the former Atlanta and Richmond Air-Line Railway line. Southern Wesleyan University's main campus is east of downtown Central.

The Central Roller Mills is a historic mill complex in Central, South Carolina. The mill opened in 1903, when there were 556 operating grist mills and roller mills in South Carolina. By 1929 there were only 23, and by 1939 there were only 17, however the Central Roller Mills operated until the late 1970s. The original building is three stories tall and made of brick, with a one-story wing. The mill was purchased by the owner of the nearby Pendleton Oil Mill in 1934. By 1938, additions to the complex included a second story to the wing, a four-story tower for bucket elevators, and a three-story tower with nine storage silos. A corn mill and hammer mill for producing animal feed were added in separate buildings. The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

Central High School is a former school building located Central, Pickens County, South Carolina. It was built in 1908 and expanded in 1925. It is located at 304 Church Street.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.It is currently used for residential living.

Morgan House is a historic home located Central, Pickens County, South Carolina. It was built in 1893 in the Queen Anne, and modified about 1917 with Classical Revival style changes. It is a 1+1⁄2-story frame dwelling and features a porch with Doric order columns. It is associated with the Morgan family, who operated a mercantile retail establishment and founders of the Bank of Central. The house now serves as the home of the Central History Museum, which is operated by the Central Heritage Society.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

The median rental costs in recent years is $618 per month, and the median house value is $258,700 Six Mile was named "Six Mile" because it was located six miles from Fort Prince George. Many other landmarks in this area were named by their distance from Fort Prince George such as 12 Mile River, 18 Mile Creek, and Ninety Six.

D. W. Daniel High School (or Daniel High School) is a comprehensive public high school serving students in grades nine through twelve in the town of Central, South Carolina, United States. Besides Central, it also serves Clemson and Six Mile. It is in Pickens County and is the one of four high schools administered by the School District of Pickens County (SDPC) (or Pickens 01). The Daniel Lions football team are a multiple time 3A state champion in the SCHSL.

The J. Warren Smith House is a house at 21 North Palmetto Street at the corner of North Palmetto and Edgemont Streets in Liberty, South Carolina in Pickens County. It has also been called "Maggie Manor" and the Myrtle Inn, which were names during its use as a boarding house. It was named to the National Register of Historic Places on January 26, 2005. It is considered an excellent example of a Colonial Revival house and for its connection with J. Warren Smith, who was a local business executive.

Liberty is a city in Pickens County, South Carolina, United States. It is part of the Greenville–Mauldin–Easley Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city was chartered on March 2, 1876.

Liberty Colored High School is a former high school for African-American students in Liberty, South Carolina during the period of racial segregation. It originally was called Liberty Colored Junior High School. The building is now a community center known as the Rosewood Center. It is at East Main Street (South Carolina Highway 93) and Rosewood Street in Liberty. The school was built in 1937 on the site of a Rosenwald school that had burned down.Because of its role in the education of local African-American students, it was named to the National Register of Historic Places on April 18, 2003.

The Issaqueena Bombing Range was a World War II target range used for training flight crews from Greenville Army Air Base, later renamed Donaldson Air Force Base. The Army Air Field was established in 1942 for the preparation of aircrew using North American B-25 Mitchell twin-engine bombers, and a suitable target area was established using Lake Issaqueena, northwest of Calhoun, South Carolina and Clemson University, completely within the Clemson Experimental Forest. Bombing Range Road is still located off of State Highway S-39-291, southwest of Six Mile, South Carolina and west of Lake Issaqueena.

Ashtabula is a plantation house at 2725 Old Greenville Highway near Pendleton in Anderson County, South Carolina, USA. It has been also known as the Gibbes-Broyles-Latta-Pelzer House or some combination of one or more of these names. It was named in the National Register of Historic Places as a historic district on March 23, 1972. It is considered a significant example of a Lowcountry style plantation house built for a Charleston family in the Upstate in the early 19th century. It also is part of the Pendleton Historic District.
