Wing is a village and civil parish in the East Midlands county of Rutland, England. The population was 315 at the 2001 census and 314 at that of 2011. It features a fine church and a labyrinth made of turf. Rutland Water reservoir is nearby.

Wing Water Treatment Works is a 1.5-hectare (3.7-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest east of Wing in Rutland. It is a Geological Conservation Review site.This site is stratigraphically important both regionally and nationally, as it has the longest sequence known in Britain of deposits from the warm Ipswichian interglacial around 120,000 years ago, and it has yielded new paleobotanical records for this period.There is access to the site from Morcott Road, but it has been filled in and no geology is visible. The site is adjacent to the water treatment works, operated by Anglian Water, that treats water extracted from Rutland Water reservoir, a few miles to the north.

Manton railway station or Manton Junction is a former railway station which served the villages of Manton and Wing in the county of Rutland.

Glaston is a village in the county of Rutland in the East Midlands of England. The population of the civil parish remained unchanged between the 2001 and the 2011 censuses. The village's name means 'farm/settlement of Glathr'.Glaston is about 4 miles (6.4 kilometres) south of Rutland Water and is situated on the A47, 2 miles (3.2 kilometres) east of Uppingham. There are approximately 80 houses in total with one public house, The Old Pheasant (previously the Monckton Arms) on Main Road (A47), and a flooring warehouse, Glaston Carpets. There is an active parish meeting that is held once a month and villagers are trying to get a bypass for the village. A rectangular pond is a cartwash of circa 1740, used for soaking cartwheels to prevent the wood shrinking from iron tyres and also for horses' hooves to prevent hardening.Glaston railway tunnel, 1 mile 82 yards in length, is located within the parish, to the east of the village.

Manton is a village in the county of Rutland in the East Midlands of England. It lies south-west of Rutland Water. The population of the civil parish at the 2001 census was 364, and after including Gunthorpe decreased slightly to 359 at the 2011 census.

Lyndon is a small village in the county of Rutland in the East Midlands of England. The population of the civil parish was 80 at the 2001 census (including Pilton), increasing to 124 at the 2011 census.The village's name means 'hill of flax' or 'hill of lime trees'.There are three Grade II* listed buildings in the parish: the Church of St Martin, Lyndon Hall and Top Hall. Thomas Barker (1722–1809) of Lyndon Hall kept a detailed weather record from 1736 to 1798. William Whiston (1667–1752), best known for his translation of Josephus, died at the Hall, the home of his son-in-law, Samuel Barker on 22 August 1752. The Hall is owned by the Conant family.

Bisbrooke is a village and civil parish in the county of Rutland in the East Midlands of England. The village is situated about 2 miles (3.2 km) east of Uppingham, south of the A47 road which passes through the parish. In 2001, it had a population of 219, falling to 204 at the 2011 census.

Pilton is a small village and civil parish in the county of Rutland in the East Midlands of England. The population of the village was 39 at the 2001 census. This remained less than 100 and was included in the civil parish of Lyndon. The village's name means 'farm/settlement with a creek', perhaps referring to the River Chater. Though, 'shaft' and 'willow-tree' have been thought of as possible first elements.It is a mile or two south of Rutland Water, and near North Luffenham, Wing and Lyndon. To the east of the village is the site of the former Pilton Brick & Tile Works which was part of the Normanton estate, owned by the Earls of Ancaster. St Nicholas' Church, Pilton is a Grade II* listed building.
