Mill Plain station

Mill Plain is an unincorporated area in the City of Danbury, Connecticut, United States. It is located in the westernmost part of the city, bordering the town of Southeast, New York.

The Summit at Danbury, formerly known as the Matrix Corporate Center and before that as the Union Carbide Corporate Center, is an architecturally unique building in Danbury, Connecticut. It was constructed in 1982 as the headquarters of the Union Carbide chemical company, it is known for its unusual style and floorplan layout. The complex was designed by the late famous architect Kevin Roche who also designed other famous corporate headquarters.

Lake Kenosia is a lake located in Danbury, Connecticut, United States. The lake covers 59.5 acres (24.1 ha).

The William O'Neill Athletic and Convocation Center (O'Neill Center) is an 80,000-square-foot (7,400 m2) multi-purpose athletic complex, at Western Connecticut State University, in Danbury, Connecticut. Named after William O'Neill, the O'Neill Center was completed in 1995 and has since been home to WestConn's basketball and volleyball teams. The 4,500-seat arena can also be used for concerts, shows, and other public events. Bob Dylan kicked off his Paradise Lost Tour at the arena on December 7, 1995.

Morefar Back O'Beyond is a secretive, little-used private golf course located on 500 acres (2.0 km2) in both Danbury, Connecticut and Southeast, New York. The course can be seen from portions of the Richter Park public course and has garnered local rumor as to its origin and ownership.Course officials do not cooperate with the press seeking information about the facility. It appears the course was established in 1964 (some sources say 1962) by Cornelius Vander Starr who had founded the company later known as AIG over forty years before. His ashes are interred on the fifteenth tee. In 2006, it was owned by Starr International, a Bermuda-based company long associated with AIG and the Starr family. It is currently controlled by Maurice Greenberg, former AIG Chief Executive Officer. Starr International also does not discuss the facility. In 2010. press reports stated the course was owned by the private Back O' Beyond Inc., based in Brewster.It appears memberships are not available to the public and the course may only be used by employees of Starr International. Some companies associated with AIG and the financial sector were able to host functions at the club in the mid-2000s. Sculptures dot the course. The course, a par 69, measures 6748 yards. Edward C. Ryder (d. 1986) and also known for nearby Richter Park Golf Course and Val Carlson are credited as its designers.The course includes a restaurant and full bar. WXCI (91.7 FM) is a student radio station broadcasting an educational format. Licensed to Danbury, Connecticut, United States, the station serves the Danbury area. The station is owned by Western Connecticut State University. WXCI broadcasts to Connecticut and New York at 3,000 watts with a stereo transmitter on WCSU's Westside Campus, while the actual studio is located on the Midtown campus. It also streams its broadcasts on the Web.

Wooster School is a private, co-educational, college-preparatory school (grades 5 through 12) in Danbury, Connecticut. It is a member of the Connecticut Association of Independent Schools.

The Ridgebury Congregational Church is a historic church in the Ridgebury section of Ridgefield, Connecticut. Founded in 1760, it is a member church of the United Church of Christ. It is a small wood frame Greek Revival structure, built about 1851 on an older foundation. Its main facade has a single centered entrance, flanked by tall windows. The entry is framed by pilasters and an entablature with cornice. The building's corners are also pilastered, with an entablature extending around the building below the roof line. A two-stage square tower rises above the entrance, topped with a parapet and pinnacles at the corners.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Westside Middle School Academy is a middle school located in the city of Danbury, Connecticut, United States. The school has approximately between 715 and 750 students from grade 6 to grade 8. The school offers various sports for all grades such as basketball and soccer as well as track and field. There is also a band and engineering program. The school also has an official health center. After graduation, students move on to Danbury High School, Henry Abbott Technical High School and other options. The school is split into two academies, STEM and Global Studies which offers students different classes making the school extremely versatile. It is the only school in the Danbury Public Schools district that uses a lottery to select students into the school.

King Street is a residential neighborhood and former district in Danbury, Connecticut. Located in the northwest corner of the city, it borders the Milltown section of Southeast, New York to the west and the town of New Fairfield, Connecticut, to the north. The name King Street is an eponym of its main thoroughfares: King, South King, West King, and East King Streets.

Ridgebury is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It occupies the north end of the town of Ridgefield and is bordered to the north and northeast by the city of Danbury and to the west by Putnam and Westchester counties in New York. The name is a portmanteau of Ridgefield and Danbury. All political power in Ridgebury is currently held by the government of Ridgefield. Ridgebury was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. Early in its history, Ridgebury tried to secede from Ridgefield, however, this effort failed. Today, many Ridgeburians feel that the government of Ridgefield neglects to address much needed infrastructure repairs in Ridgebury, and thus there is a growing animosity between Ridgebury and Ridgefield. Some Ridgeburians have gone so far as to support the creation of an independent Town of Ridgebury with complete political separation from Ridgefield. Compared to the rest of Ridgefield, the infrastructure of Ridgebury is worse off due to neglect from the town government. Frequent potholes on Ridgeburian roads, particularly on Ridgebury road, has been a pressing issue in the village of Ridgebury. For many Ridgeburians, the lack of road repairs is the main source of frustration between them and the Ridgefield government. In October of 2021, posters advocating for Ridgeburian independence were placed around the Ridgebury area.

Danbury Municipal Airport (IATA: DXR, ICAO: KDXR, FAA LID: DXR) is a public use general aviation airport located three miles (5 km) southwest of the central business district of Danbury, in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. The airport opened in 1930. It is currently run by the City of Danbury under the management of Michael Safranek. It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021, in which it is categorized as a regional reliever airport facility.The Reliant Air building burned down on the evening of September 12, 2007. The hangar was located on the northeast side of the airport. It has since been rebuilt and Reliant Air continues in business.
