Taylor Corners is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of New Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It is in the southwest corner of the town, bordered to the south by the city of Danbury, to the north by Ball Pond, and to the west by the town of Southeast in Putnam County, New York. Taylor Corners was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

The Williams House is a historic single-family residence located at 5 Williams Road in New Fairfield, Connecticut. Likely built between 1800 and 1835, it is a well-preserved example of early American residential architecture, with transitional Federal and Greek Revival features. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

New Fairfield High School is the only public high school in New Fairfield, Connecticut, United States. It enrolls approximately 500 to 700 students annually in grades 9-12 from New Fairfield, as well as students from the neighboring town of Sherman who elect to attend. The current principal of New Fairfield High School is James D'Amico. The school mascot is the "Rebel," depicted on school symbols as a Revolutionary War soldier. This mascot was chosen by students at the school in celebration of the United States Bicentennial in 1976, as that was the first graduating class. Ball Pond is a glacial kettle lake naturally filled by groundwater springs and surface water runoff. It is located within the drainage basin of the Housatonic River and has a watershed of 246 acres (100 ha). The watershed mostly contains residential developments with septic-sewage systems, which load the lake with nitrogen and phosphorus. The pond has one outflow, Ball Pond Brook, which itself drains into Candlewood Lake.The lake was originally named Lake Hahlawah after a local medicine man. The Hahlawah Preserve is three parcels of protected forestland near Ball Pond.

The William O'Neill Athletic and Convocation Center (O'Neill Center) is an 80,000-square-foot (7,400 m2) multi-purpose athletic complex, at Western Connecticut State University, in Danbury, Connecticut. Named after William O'Neill, the O'Neill Center was completed in 1995 and has since been home to WestConn's basketball and volleyball teams. The 4,500-seat arena can also be used for concerts, shows, and other public events. Bob Dylan kicked off his Paradise Lost Tour at the arena on December 7, 1995.

Mill Plain was a station on the main line of the New York and New England Railroad and later the Maybrook Line of the New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad. Opened in 1881, the station was originally located in the Mill Plain area in the western part of Danbury, Connecticut. The station was closed in 1928 and served multiple purposes from 1930 until 2018. The station building was restored and moved to the Danbury Railway Museum in 2019.

Bigelow Corners is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of New Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It is in the southwest quadrant of the town, northwest of the village of New Fairfield and east of Ball Pond. Bigelow Corners was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

The New Fairfield Historical District is in New Fairfield, Connecticut. In 2005, the newly created state-funded Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism awarded its first Endangered Properties Grant to the Town of New Fairfield. The $50,000 grant was used to relocate and preserve the Parsonage and the Gideon Hubbell House, two historically significant State Register properties threatened with demolition. Both properties were to be adapted for reuse as part of New Fairfield’s new community center, the first step in the creation of a living history village and town center. The houses were moved to their new location on March 4, 2007.
